It's sort of a Stockholm Syndrome situation to which the individual cannot see outside of the box they painted themselves into.
Time to let them go. Their pride and deception will kill them in the end. It is what they have chosen, and they march to their graves obediently with silly grins on their faces, like they are doing something good. It is the plight of their children that most distresses me. They had no choice in the matter, but I don't fear for them, even if their parents' foolishness leads to their deaths, because they will have a straight shot to heaven. The ones who hang on through multiple sicknesses might have some issues, though. I walked past my neighbor on a local walking trail and didn't say hi... because I didn't recognize him. He looks older than me by 20 years now but he's about 15 years younger. His little girl told me "daddy is waiting to get his appointment" for the jab so he could be some kind of early adopter, so you know he's a boostah boi too.
