There’s something odd going on at these bases with these lockdowns. Derek Johnson said they were locked down at Offutt(?) recently while there was some weird air activity simultaneously. Are there some secret ops happening?
ATC controllers cannot just get up and walk out like all that. When they have planes in their airspace, each plane has to be instructed on how fast, what direction, and altitude to fly through that airspace as to not collide with other planes. Mil jets fly much faster than civ planes big and small so even if they are heading the same direction, it could be a disaster without instructions. Now, if the ONLY planes in your airspace are the Mil authorized mission ones.. dif story I am sure.
Since my fam member refused to leave his post at the ATC until all planes in their air were taken care of, when it happened at our base, they specifically had told all the ATC (both radar and tower) to evac. I had a thought along the lines of, maybe there was supposed to be an "accident" that they could not pull off since 3(civ workers) people held their position and handled the air traffic. That being said, none of the air traffic seemed anything out of the normal that day and THAT being said, I am certain the 3 that checked in with each plane to get them on a safe route, probably were not looking for weird air traffic, just wanted to make sure their planes didnt get in accidents. Heh
This could be the angle as well. Have something that happens that allows all base houses to be searched. Maybe they are looking for something and not really someone. Some special weapon? Stolen classified info?
I know technically they can search any houses they want to on base, but it would be a little harder to search all houses on base on the same day without some sort of a reason. Just something to consider.

At the time someone else mentioned same happened in Texas in their area, I looked up on the line of it and found Several schools across the nation were being hammered with the same "swatting". I hope they find the sob, at your base.
