I will add that I saw the film Sunday...I bypassed the almost sold out AMC to see it at Movie Tavern that had more seats available but was at least 2/3's sold out...when we actually saw the film a large portion of the sold seats were empty (3/4)...it made me wonder if those were "pay it forward" seats...I really didn't know what to make of it...
Newest thing seems to be lefties who ask for all the free tickets but don't use them; they're just taking the tickets so no one else can use them.
Makes sense they would think of something so evil and subversive....
Evil, yes, depriving people who would start to ask questions from getting those tickets.
Still causing the movie to be a success, however, so what I find interesting is that it becomes clear that their agenda is to protect child trafficking.
Am I wrong for holding the entire left accountable on this?
Probably.
Do I care?
Not anymore.
It was correctly said on Timcast the other night (last night? Don't remember which I listened to) and we've all recognized it for a while: If you don't totally agree with everything the left says like a cult, then you're cast out and called far right.
So at this point if you are on the left at this point, I am able and willing to come to the conclusion that you agree with child trafficking. May as well make it radioactive to touch the left.
Nailed it.
I want to see the film but apperantly I have to travel over 60 miles to see it as my local theatre is not playing it. Is it only shown in AMC?
No...many other theaters...check listings...
Wouldn’t be surprised if it was scalpers. It happens to concerts and other ticket hosting platforms. And it could be lefties. Probably both.
There was a big push for the past several months to get people to buy advance tickets. It's difficult for some people to keep reservations made so far in advance.
Just an anecdotal story, but my aunt and uncle bought advance tickets for July 5th (the day after it opened), but couldn't go because my uncle busted his knee playing basketball on July 4th. And they weren't able to exchange their tickets for another time, and weren't able to find someone who wanted to go to give them to.
So maybe something similar happened to explain the empty seats you saw.
The upside is that people who bought advance tickets, but didn't use them, are most likely going to buy new tickets because they are dedicated to seeing that movie.
Well I for one bought two tickets, for me and hubby, but I stupidly bought them for July 5 - not thinking he'd be at work, so I went alone and had one wasted ticket.
Wow...that probably did happen to a fair amount of ticketholders...exactly why I bought the day of....
Well I am NOT claiming abuse...just questioning so many unused sold seats...it is a mystery...I could see a few...you always see the sold seats when you pick yours out...a few empty sold seats I get...but NOT as many as I saw...🤔
Just out of curiosity, I've looked at various theaters near me showing it. Reserved seating is popular here, so you can easily see how many empty seats are still available.
I live in a very liberal area of the DC metro region. Most of the AMC's around here are showing the movie, but many have only one or two showings a day, and/or only being shown in the smallest theater (think 20 to 30 seats).
When I looked, there wasn't much rhyme or reason to how many people were buying tickets. For example, there were theaters at the edge of the metro region that leaned more conservative that had very few seats sold. But then there were theaters in Georgetown that were sold out a week in advance.
This is great, but there are reports here and on FB about:
multiplexes putting the film in the very smallest theater they have
turning the AC off
turning the volume very low

If there is anything going wrong. I dont see the ppl at the top deliberately causing chaos. But rather, their blue haired they/them employees doing it!
Wtf is a FUD?
Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt. While not all FUD is malicious, a lot of it, especially when it comes to meme stocks, result from fake news in an attempt to swing prices of certain stocks to devalue them. They call it "short and distort."
Thank you for asking. I didn't know either.

"Fear Uncertainty and Dread"
IOW, they're saying you're just paranoid and probably a Qtard
D = Doubt
It's (D) ifferent!
So they are counting ticket sales instead of bodies in seats? Seems that there is an effort to fud this film. So lefties are taking up all the free angel tickets and not showing up. Idiots. NCSWIC
If there is an attempt to sabotage the screenings of Sound of Freedom, it certainly is not by the hands of AMC. More likely than not, it could be a few liberal employees going rogue. At worse, external deep state saboteurs. These incidents aren't as common as Twitter is making it out to be.
You literally just ignored the entire point of the post. Congratulations, you deserve a medal.
I don't know about AMC but I went to the local theater last night and it was so cold in there I was almost uncomfortable and I'm someone who runs hot and almost always prefers the AC as cold as it can go.
Being too cold is a common experience at most movies I've ever been to. It's common practice for me to bring a jacket or sweater with me, even in the summer.
There must be bots running that snap up the free tickets from pay-it-forward.
AMC's CEO making a definitive comment like this without taking into account that some, not all, but some of his theater managers and employees ARE throttling SoF showings just points to his ignorance of the situation "on the ground."
Yes, I admit, those Twitter postings could be misinformation, however, they are more than likely real instances.
Notice, also, that he didn't say he has talked to any of his theater managers to impress upon them that they have to show it.

But nonetheless they are paid for tickets...
Pay it forward should have where you font show up your credit card gets charged. Fix that real quick
'nuff said.

Trumps new Ad campaign had a lambo in it. I think he's telling us soon.
Lamborghini is also the “bull” - when you mess with the bull, you get the horns.
Way more than 1 video. I myself experienced an issue with the AC when we saw it on the 4th. I've seen tons of videos of the actual screenings having issues. Audio issues, lighting issues, video flicker issues, AC issues. All verified on video. Call it what you want. This has been happening.
Someone in my area said the AC wasn't working in the theater where SOF was playing, whereas the other theaters in the complex had no problem with AC.
Amazing how it only affects Sounds of Freedom and no other movie.
The CEO is promoting movies all over Twitter but not a single promotional tweet about this movie. You should do some research before you start attacking this movie. The ONLY reason he responded is because there is MASSIVE reporting about this issue about Sound of Freedom and not a single report about any other summer movie. And what does he do? He accuses everyone of being BOTS. He denies these problems are happening while you say they ARE happening, but it's just old theaters. You aren't even pushing the same narrative.

Imo I think the bad experiences were probably real. Its the hottest time of the year and this is when not maintaining a commercial air conditioner starts to show its issues. So yeah I believe the air conditioners were broken due to them failing from heat waves during summer time. Not hard to believe even if it were 100 people that came out with videos.. but it was only like 4 of 5 that I saw.. If the theaters didn’t want to play it, they just wouldn’t have it, they’re not gonna have their employees sabotage the showings.
Many of those here even:
I mean imagine that, hundreds of theaters/rooms and a small fraction of them have a faulty piece of equipment!! what are the odds?!?!?!
I suppose it's the same people who see comms on a twitter rando video of them eating a sandwich, or something equally as stupid.
I dunno guys. Still not convinced!
