See, I do a ton of online shopping and only ever use cash when I'm going to the scrapyard for parts (as it makes it way easier to haggle, especially if you're buying a bunch of things). I'd buy those parts online too, but it'd cost about 2-3x as much.
I was once at a store in the mall. They rang me up and then said they wouldn't take cash. I pointed at the bill "says here this is legal tender for ALL debts" the bill was like 19.50, I slapped down a 20 and said "keep the change" and walked out with my stuff.
I was not subjected to this type of thing during that phase. Did they not have signs on entrance doors stating electronic payment methods only? (or no cash accepted) If they did, and a person only had cash, wouldn't this be theft with some sort of consequence? Just a curiosity, not condemning or condoning. I get the sentiment.
I mean they could probably call the cops and call it theft. but no restaurant host is going to do that the first someone doesn't adhere to a brand new payment policy. not when theyve been accepting cash for years
I limit my purchases per day and to a daily limit. I often skirt around most things at work. Regretfully, the type of work I do on the daily prevents me from having a consistent lunch prepped (because I travel all over the state). Most times I get it it's bare minimum to keep me going to eat at home.

I flew International a couple times in 2020 and to get your boarding pass you first had to fill out a Covid questionnaire electronically on your phone.
Both trips I said I didn’t have a phone, so they gave me a printout version to fill out, and said I could turn it in to the flight crew while boarding. Needless to say I never filled them out.
We also never did the phone QR code menu thing either, and always requested “a normal person’s menu” (that’s what I referred to it as, to the servers).
Anyone here works out at Planet Fitness? Several months ago, they were doing a BIG push for everyone to check in with their cell phone. All the people at the counter would not check you in unless you scan your smart phone. We told them we do not have a smart phone so they grudgingly checked us in. Guess what, no one mentioned it again now.
Ability to organize is one factor taken into consideration when these fucks screw us. I took an entire course on how the ability for organization from those against whatever is being implemented is considered.
This makes no sense at all. All French businesses are required by law to accept cash payment.
Not only that, but it actually saves the business money when people pay in cash, because they don't have to pay a percentage of the transaction cost to the credit card companies. This is the reason places like gas stations will give you a cheaper price if you pay cash.
This is just silly crap, trying to make people get their dander up, imagining that businesses want to ban cash. When businesses would love to see more people pay with cash. Don't be so gullible.
Wait till the bank starts removing cash from public use. That will be the tactic they use. It's been done before. Deflation of the money supply, same way the manipulate everything else. Gold, silver and barter material.

in most countries it is a crime to refuse cash as payment for anything, even if it's in 1 cent coins.
