Have cash, silver and tradeable goods. Stock up on food, seeds, bottled water, alcohol, soap, ammo, candles, fuel. Dig out the wheat grinder that's in the garage. Ordered a supply of wheat. Start some sourdough and learn to bake bread. Maintain my veggie garden and keep planting more throughout the growing season. Develop good relationships with the neighbors. I recently found a website that has a map for spring water sources in a worst case scenario and our tap water becomes contaminated, it's 30 miles from home but it's free, clean spring water. Sadly, yes. In the past few weeks, we received news of a retired coworker and a recently retired co-workers partners death. Our temp receptionist didn't come back from her lunch break yesterday because she was in an ambulance with her mom who was having heart issues. My friend was with her mom at the hospital today getting checked for many issues that have recently caused a serious decline in her health. I'm worried for everyone I work with. We have a vaccine mandate so almost everyone is vaxxed and boosted. What a nightmare.

This is such bullshit. I've been working from home since March 2020. I work for a municipal corporation in Seattle and they followed the state mandatory jab or get fired mandate. I submitted a religious exemption that was accepted but now they want me to get tested weekly and wear a special "kn95" mask if I am in the office. I am on vacation until January 18th and scheduled to work in the office on January 26th so I'm supposed to get tested and submit my results to th H/R dept. I've been agonizing over this stupid crap. Haha. I know people have it much worse than I do, losing their jobs over this mandate but I am still torn up hoping I won't have to get the test to keep my job. I don't want to submit to this and I'm just hoping they change this requirement for me to be in compliance. When did we become a communist country?
