There was an interview on UK TV a while ago. It featured Piers Morgan and Nigel Farage. Morgan told Farage that Trump said bleach and he had the clip to prove it. He played the clip where Trump said "disinfectant." He then asked Farage to explain why Trump said "bleach" and I think he played the same clip three times and told Farage that Trump said bleach every time.

Clearly, to some people, disinfectant means bleach. However, we all heard "disinfectant" and one common ingredient in vaccines is formaldehyde and what does the CDC tell us about formaldehyde?

Formaldehyde is used as a disinfectant.

You just wait until some real, blue-haired, aliens turn up on earth and claim cultural appropriation!

My take: AJ does give out some correct and useful information but there are subjects where his job is just to discredit ideas or people. Q is one of those.

The reason he told us about Sandy Hook was so that he could be put through a show trial which disproved everything he said - that is how we know it is correct! I wonder if he has paid the $billions in fines, yet?

Pizzagate was another issue where it was AJs job to quash the "conspiracy theories".

So, he gives out just enough to be believable then he can be used to discredit selected topics.

One thought that went through my mind was that the master plan was delayed for some reason and it was too late to change the Olympic arrangements.

In the UK our politicians have several set phrases which, while they sound good, have hidden meanings. One such is: "I have seen no evidence to suggest that ..."

That means that the accusation is true but all the politician's staff have been threatened with losing their jobs, or worse, if any evidence is shown to said politician.

Another expression is used for political opponents who have done exactly the right thing. That is: "Too little; too late!"

In the US, I detect that any politician worried about "democracy" is actually more concerned about losing control to the people rather than giving power to the people.

For me, where Q came from and whether it is to be completely believed are only minor issues. It's real success for me was to get me investigating what I heard in the news and to do it with a fresh set of eyes.

That still works whether it was invented by Trump, Putin or Alex Jones.

I looked at the post title and immediately thought of Nancy Pelosi. I don't know why!

I hadn't seen the one from the Columbus Day parade in 1963.

This one is quite nice, as well. Trump is second from the left. He certainly got through some outfits in those days!

Browder and Putin have history. Putin maintains that Browder managed to extract a large quantity of money from Russia but Browder denies it.

The film is two hours long and it is illuminating if you have a couple of hours to spare.

This claims to be an AI summary of the documentary:

The “Magnitsky Act – Behind the Scenes” is a documentary film directed by Andrei Nekrasov, released in 2016. It focuses on the 2009 death of Russian tax accountant Sergei Magnitsky in a Moscow prison cell and the subsequent Magnitsky Act, a law to punish Russian human rights violators. The film was initially supported by Bill Browder, an American-born British financier who hired Magnitsky to investigate the government’s seizure of his Russian subsidiaries. However, the documentary later presents a different narrative, suggesting that Browder may have been involved in the multimillion-dollar theft from Russian taxpayers. This change in perspective led to controversy and attempts to block screenings of the film in Europe and the United States.

I think we should do that. Get all the money in a big pile and split it equally and then, when I have spent mine, we should repeat the process!

What impressed me about Powell is the way she picked up the complex General Flynn case and turned it round in no time at all.

Klaatu needs to drop in with Gort.

While the idea of "fact checkers" is not a good one I like to imagine Gort sitting in Congress with the instruction to zap anyone who lies.

A sort of early Nancy Pelosi, then?

Sometimes you can beat Google at its own game by using their "before:" tag. So, for instance, you could search on:

climate change before:2000

That is not guaranteed to work but it should help.

I am not sure that it will actually make any difference once things settle down.

I say this because, at the moment, many voters in states like California will not bother voting for a president if they are Republicans. They know they are wasting their time. However, if all votes counted I would expect more Republicans to vote in blue states.

One problem I have is that I don't know what these people might be threatened with. Remember when the governor's, daughter's fiancé was car bombed in Georgia, for instance?

When I was working, the office where I was decided to go down the recycling route to win some Brownie points. We were all given an extra waste bin which we did not quite have room for under our desks. One type of waste in one bin and another type in the other.

It looked OK until you saw the cleaners emptying both bins into the same skip!
