And Gina Carano is smoking hot.

I remember when he did that, and I was thinking "hell yeah" the entire time.

Maybe it was by chance, but when my wife and I moved to Tennessee, we found this little place on 1.5 acres out of town. A deal fell through on another house we were looking at, and we were pretty bummed, but we looked at one more and that was it. This place has a 360 degree view and it is almost as if it were built for self-defense - the guy who sold it to us fought the Japanese on Saipan and he was a tough old Marine. He found out I was Navy and that sealed the deal. Every day when I leave to go to work, I look around at the property and revel in the strategic placement of the house, up on a hill, set way back from the street. I think that old salt had something in mind when he built it, because he hated the government and it is almost as if he anticipated that one day in the future he would have to defend it. Sounds crazy I know, but boy are we fortunate. They won't even make it up the driveway if it all goes to shit.

Not that it really matters, but when I was training on nuclear reactors in Idaho for the Navy in 1984, I saw a stunning triple rainbow after a thunderstorm. We didn't have cell phones back then and my camera was in storage, but the one in the picture above pales in comparison. Triples are quite rare. We get doubles quite a bit here in east Tennessee.

Although I haven't had the time to delve further, what fascinated me was that whole business about Baron Trump and those novels, the distinct possibility that Trump's real father was George S. Patton, and anything having to do with Nikola Tesla and his connection to Trump's uncle. And, to top it all off, I remember seeing somewhere that there is actually a town called Hawaii in the country of Kenya, and Obama was born there and not on the islands of Hawaii [Oahu]. Of course, I can't remember where I saw that because I have been on the internet way too much.

Wouldn't it be something if it was shown that Diana did not die in that tunnel, and then she comes back to claim her rightful place as the queen? The way things are going, it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Interesting that he refers to Trump as a creature of the swamp. I respectfully disagree. Also, as I progressed through this, there was an increasing sense of the author as more of an alarmist, and that concerned me. But, there's free speech, so there's that.

You forgot Uncle Fester. I think it would be more accurate if she was spawn from a twisted, obscene physical relationship between Beetlejuice and Uncle Fester.

I'm willing to bet that the number of gay and LGBTQ people is not as big as we have been led to believe, either.

We just don't buy into the vitriol. Millions of patriots are confident and comfortable, and if they see someone not in the right head space, they respond with kindness. You're just not going to see that on mainstream media, you're not.

Just wondering what all those bots are going to do when they're out of a job. I hear there are plenty of jobs available.

I wonder if the reference "suicide weekend" refers to a mass event, i.e. if you follow this train of thinking about how when it is all revealed that some people just won't be able to handle it, that they take the easy way out. My wife and I were talking about this the other day. We figured it would be closer to a weekend because that's when most people are home - just throwing that out there. I remember when there were times when I was so down I thought about it...how to do it, when to do it, not caring at all about whatever effect it would have on the rest of the world. Something would always pull me back from the edge.

The pain, the darkness, the inevitability of it all. Just musing.

These polls are a crock. I have never been called, ever, by a pollster, and I'm 59.

It was more a combination of several posts, snippets here and there. If I had to pin it down to one, it was the first "trust the plan" statement. That sticks with me to this day.

I still can't wrap my head around that, it was so obvious. That, and when they put the cardboard up on the windows and cheered when that one guy was escorted out of the room. Call me naive, I really couldn't believe people were that stupid as not to believe what they were seeing.

That mac and cheese bucket would have been a fricking lifesaver back before I was married, lol.

Just got back from another Friday Night Lights experience, the heart and soul of America on display at our school's football game. So, I'm checking the news headlines and what do I see? Poor Hanoi Jane is being treated for a type of cancer. Now, I rarely wish ill will upon people, but in this case I'm willing to make an exception. Traitorous bitch.

It is interesting to see how mad this dude gets. It's almost as if he is inviting a massive coronary or a cerebral hemorrhage. That backdrop last night was freaky, and I felt bad for those Marines who had to stand there and hear that screaming old sick fuck pedophile ranting on.

For some strange reason when I read this it reminded me of something I heard from a colleague, and I thought it was pretty funny:

What's the difference between northern gals and southern gals? Well, northern gals say "you come back" and southern gals say "y'all come back." 😆

Didn't catch it, didn't want to, but it was only 2.5 minutes?

Found a pretty cool app available on the Trilight Network, but I am sure it is on other cable TV services as well. It's a link to the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. The catalog is big, with composers from A to Z. Been watching concerts conducted by different individuals, and there is even some old footage showing Herbert von Karajan when he was still alive. If you just want to take a break and listen to some classical music while watching the orchestra play, I highly recommend it.
