The first thing I thought when I saw that guy was, "Why is Bill Hader in drag? Is that a SNL sketch?"
Good luck. I got a review of "2000 Mules," posted on Amazon and IDMB (yeah, they're owned by the same people). It stayed up for awhile but then got removed while reviews like, "I hated it," stayed.
He wasn't going to finish "Carrie," but his wife pulled it out of the trash and told him to complete it allegedly. You can tell a guy wrote it because there are detailed descriptions of many of the female characters' breasts.
In the nineties, Dinesh DeSouza wrote a book called, "An Illiberal Education" arguing against affirmative action. I wonder what he thinks of this decision.
If you told a cop your name was "Jack Smith," wouldn't he be at least a little skeptical?
There's a new memoir called "Levi's Unbuttoned," by a former CEO who left the company because it was too woke. She claims they tried to censor her during the pandemic because she spoke out against closing schools and the harm that lockdowns did children.
She even got in trouble because her husband was anti-lockdown and was outspoken about it on social media.
Munchausen's, they used to call it.
Someone once made a joke that one of the stages of grief was Haagen Daaz. Sorry.
Orwell worked for the BBC at one time, he knows of what he speaks.
In the nineties, I did some research on antidepressants because my doctor put me on Prozac.
I was stunned to learn that Prozac did no better than any other drug in the trial, but it was pushed through and approved anyway. Its advantage is allegedly that the side effects are easier to tolerate.
I'd always assumed that there was some kind of basic ethics when it came to approving medications for the market. Since then, I've been skeptical of the drug industry.
When I was in college, there was a term LUG meaning lesbian until graduation.
The general store sells rainbow striped chairs, I believe.
There's a memoir, "The Last Time I Wore A Dress." It's about a girl who was a tomboy type and was hospitalized because the doctors wanted to treat her for gender dysphoria. Turns out she was just gay.
Lots of girls feel like this growing up. I did. Some turn out gay, and some don't. I don't think it means you actually should have surgery to become male.
"It's not in your face," they insist.
Perhaps this was true at one point, but no longer.
When I was growing up, men who tried to invade women's private spaces were arrested. Now they're celebrated by the left as being stunning and brave.
"Target."
But I thought these people weren't groomers, so why do laws preventing grooming upset them so much?
I think Anya Taylor Joy would make a great Rosa Parks.
There was a pharmacist who had to go to the specified area (right behind her), pick a bag that had my last name on it and bring it up for me to pay for.
It took her almost ten minutes, even though there weren't that many bags.
I wonder if she was vaxxed.
I live in a blue state, and I've never seen anyone wearing Pride stuff. Just at a mini rally I drove by once a couple years ago.
Should add I saw servers at Starbucks wearing Pride flair, but I mean when it's not mandatory to do so.
I do see "Let's Go Brandon" signs and Trump flags occasionally.
Isn't this essentially Quidditch?
I'm sure he'll win, he just won't be allowed to take office.
But I'm a pessimist.
I am so sorry your daughter had to go through this.
I didn't know Starbucks had non-single restrooms. The ones around here just have single stall ones that you can lock.
I remember watching "Pollyanna" as a kid. She takes prisms off a lamp or something and hangs them in the window. So cool.
Using your kid as a prop for how woke you are is disgusting. I agree.
When I was in junior high, we were all required to take a semester of wood shop and technical drawing. We did not have home economics for some reason.
In high school, however, those courses were considered appropriate for the vo-tech program and not the college bound ones. Too bad.
I saw a cashier in CVS today who is probably in her early twenties. She is still wearing one of those blue disposable face masks every time I go in. I'm pretty sure the store has dropped the requirement, so it's kind of sad.
