There **has **to be something more to this story. I get-it that a lot of flight attendants are libs but they could lose their jobs for something like this unless there's an immediate threat to the aircraft, crew, or fellow passengers.
Yeah on my Southwest flight out to DC the Flight Attendant made several announcements about masks and after the 4th one we're looking around and calling her out on it as we didn't see anyone not wearing theirs and accused her of making it up to delay the flight. Maybe the Captain told her to cut it out as when we landed he came out and started a "four more years" chant himself.
On the flight back it happened again but the Attendant only did it a couple times before we go underway.
My cousin is a captain at SW ... this wasn't him, but it's something he might do. Wouldn't surprise me. Also wouldn't be surprised if one flight a stewardess was annoying, and a different one on the return was leading cheers.

I fly delta a ton for work. They are a superb company and perhaps the best airline in the world. Theres got to be more to this story. Air travel is a bitch to begin with. I haven't been travelling much lately with the rona scare but I dont think I could pull off a delta boycott. There just isn't any other airline worth travelling consistently with.
Delta has consistently disappointed me to the point my company pulled money they used to try to spread the money around some to each company. Mow southwest is our primary and a charter we use mostly the big bosses. I control our travel budget so no delta and now no united.
