I watched that video going around about the Law of War and it is giving me a bit of anxiety to really know we are at war with China. How in the world is our millitary going to just win this? I feel like a war with China would lead to devastation. I pray, pray, pray this plan works and Pompeo is right that our millitary already has the checkmate.

This acquisition through several front companies (thanks Bill and Hillary) gave China the ability to interrupt a critical piece in the supply chain for a high value weapon system. Extending this approach to other areas, enemies of the United States would identify essential components in military and non-military systems and gain a measure of control or interference in US war-fighting, manufacturing, transport, power generation, computing, etc.
Undeclared warfare; going on for at least 25 years until the US could find leadership that could not be bribed, coerced or intimidated.

See, I keep saying Trump's team doesn't do the best chess comms. Give him credit for an accurate and honest game, but nothing spectacular.
First the board should be rotated 180 degrees due to its notation. Second the game is rather run-of-the-mill. White is playing part of the Colle System and Black the anti-Colle, and Black has only a slight advantage, but is at least advancing fairly seeing that the game is only 5 moves in and white is not sticking to the traditional Colle development. Nowhere near checkmate, and not a very standard professional version of the opening. White is backing off on his offensive advantage and opting to go less connectedly defensive instead, and Black is making a tempting (some would say rash) attack by advancing his knight quite early without great support. It appears that a master could beat either player; neither is showing off the firepower or the combination of forces that makes chess exciting, so this game is likely to be a long haul until one player blunders.

My 2 cents: I barely know the rules of chess and most people don't know enough to have all the interesting insights about the game being played. Therefore, chess game dependent messages are not the main point here. The "Taiwanese pineapple for freedom" does stick out like a total non-sequitur, though, just as the backward position of the board sticks out for chess fags. In real chess white has a first move advantage, and in the cultural world white indicates the good guys, so the second thumb sticking out is, why is our good guy behind the black pieces? Because the board is backwards? Takes chess lore to see that. More obvious are the painted crowns. I've never seen that. A little nail polish could do it quickly, but only the kings and queens are affected. This is another message to me, the hats are not on the side we think they are. All the chess technicalities probably have meanings too, but for most they have to wait for interpretation. The meaning I get is, we are at war, nothing is as it seems.

Pinneaples are a pretty heated issue between Taiwan and China right now. China banned Taiwanese pineapples and that caused the Taiwanese to get really angry.

actually a common opening...black is forcing an early exchange of knight(s) and white bishops,...so it is the transition from opening to middle game
We're now getting better analysis going (both chess and comms). It's common enough play but not master level. Black is forcing white to a narrow range of choices because of white's disconnected plan, but white might just defend with the queen's bishop in one of two places. If he doesn't exchange or defend he's in real trouble, but he'll do what's safe for him.
5:5 sounds good. No captures yet sounds good. Pompeo in control of black hats would be very good. Chess games being very slow: not so good.
