This is a positive development, but nowhere near the first resistance of any kind to the leftist-fueled unraveling of our freedoms. There has been major resistance since at least the Tea Party and its huge march on Washington, DC in 2009. I'd say the 2016 election of Trump, even after the mainstream media and Big Tech threw the kitchen sink at him, was also a major step in that direction. As was the landslide 2020 election of Trump, the facts about which are waiting in the wings to come out when the time is right.
We've seen Americans across the country pulling their kids out of public schools, taking back their school boards, and taking their tax dollars and moving from states gone crazy-lib and moving to states like Florida and Texas. We've seen patriots winning the meme battle online for years, despite often being banned and censored. We've seen patriots start doing independent investigative reporting, as with Project Veritas. We've even seen some libs wake up and start movements like the #walkaway movement. And more.
The left has controlled the mainstream media and Big Tech, but many millions of Americans saw through their lies and have been putting up major resistance for years.
Agreed on all points. I was only referring to major resistance to the big tech takeover of social media. They've run rampant with cancel mania, and in the process their subjects have become even more brainwashed. I'm glad to see Musk blowing up their world from the inside out! I want to make something clear.
The resistance in 2009 was completely different to the resistance now.
In 2009, we were still free. We could get what ever medical procedures we wanted at our discretion. We could have "wrong" opinions. We weren't automatically labeled everything terrible under the sun (though this particular part did increase in intensity when Obama was running, so we can easily see where that started) and we weren't forced to wear masks to shop or interact.
Since 2020, we have not had real resistance. Even from Trump, when he was still President, did not have the resistance to their bullshit and oppression. He could have stopped Fauci at any time but allowed it to continue.
Elon stepping up to the plate and throwing a thick ass wad down on the table and throwing an electric rocket sized wrench into their propaganda apparatus has, so far, been the best real resistance we have seen to this.
So even if you still aren't sure about Musk, credit where credit is due. As of right now, he's really bending leftists over and fucking them, after he took all their money from them using Tesla.
It's awesome that Elon's comments got way more shares and likes than the story itself.
