The proper way to shoot (as per the magic box) is to turn the scary assault thing 90 degrees & hold it as far from your body as possible, sometimes referred to as "gangsta style", while always keeping your finger on the trigger in case you need to shoot fast. If you hold your gun properly, gangsta style, those hot ejection will gently clip your face like hot brass knuckles giving an even greater chance for an adrenaline rushed PTSD experience. For each brass that clips you, you can expect an additional one to five minutes of PTSD experience. If it lasts longer than that, you may need to find a counselor at a local university that will allow you to suck their teat (hairy may be optional at personal preference & privilege) while they sing you soothing songs heard on aforementioned magic boxes about being strong when it rains. Hi, Shlomo Rosenbaum checking in again. I can confirm that shooting an AR15 is indeed even worse than what is described here. My temple took a field trip to the gun range for an anthropology study, and I had the opportunity to shoot one of these awful weapons of mass destruction. Upon firing the first shot, I was swept off my feet and thrown back a yard or two. The brass casing blew off my kippah and burned the top of my head with its searing heat. Once I regained the use of my legs, I noticed that I had a throbbing headache and terrible diarrhea, which lasted for days. I missed the 15 yard target by about three feet, which left a nice sized hole in the ceiling. Imagine if that was a human being! The smell of gunpowder was so strong that it was all I could smell for several days following the incident.
I will conclude by saying this: these guns are VERY scary, and should not be owned by anyone but the police and military, and then only under the watchful eye of the SPLC, the ADL or AIPAC. And for you Christians out there, it's a fact that Jesus never owned a gun, so why should you?

My son has been taught firearm safety since he was 3. Used a walther p22 airsoft pistol as our training tool. Kept it locked up in my gun safe. At 6 years old we started target practicing with a 22LR rifle and then my AR when he was 8. He is now 12 and knows more about firearms and how to safely handle them than most adults. He can now safely handle any of my small and large caliber firearms. Which is done under adult supervision.
Truth is that firearms are a tool. And when taught to handle them with care and not look at then as a scary prop in a movie, firearms can be very pleasurable family hobby.
Anytime someone says that their first time using a firearm gave them PTSD or scared them. It is because they went into that situation with that mindset and had zero knowledge or ambition to learn about that firearm.
