It's the inadvertant tracking that is the concern. Apple and google have locked down the systems so much that apps like Truth cant really harvest that much data from you.
Google and apple, on the other hand, definitely do harvest all that data

Truth never let me in on the computer. It didn't like my email address and wouldn't respond to it. So then I created a new email address that they would like. Then they told me that I would have to repeat a code sent on a cell phone. Why would they do that? I was using the computer because I don't use a cell phone/tracking device.
So I've written off Truth. I don't care what platform they use. If they can't allow someone who doesn't own a cellphone to participate, then they can't just go away.
Ditto, Aspie. I'll be on Truth Social just as soon as I can get on without using a cell phone. Until then, these little "announcements" mean nothing to me.

Ha ha no, anonymous message boards are different. They even have a different name. Instead of social media, they're usually called message boards or forums.
When people say social media, they mean Truth Social, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Tik Tok, Youtube, Pinterest, etc., etc. I've never had a social media account and never will. (BTW plenty of forum members have expressed that exact same sentiment right here on GAW.)
That said, people are free to call message boards social media if they like. Freedom of speech FTW

I draw a sharp line of demarcation between message boards and social media, which is ALL about people, their GROUPS they "identify" with, their hobbies, their life patterns and friends and family, photos, etc., and followers followers followers!! LIKES!!! LIKES!!! Pleeeze, pleeeze LIKE me!!!
No one else has to make that distinction. Each to his own (or, one might use the worn-out expression "You do you" :).

You could have had access months ago unless you don't know how web browsers work, which begs the question of how you're posting here if you don't.
Actually, it won't work in a web browser, if you don't own a cell phone. I don't carry a tracking device, and until Truth can operate in a browser on a desktop computer with no cell phone involved, they can just pound sand.

You can pre-register on Google Play Store. If you're already signed in to Truth Social on the browser on your phone, you won't see the link to pre-register on truthsocial.com.

All I need now is for it to be available in Canada.
Says the app is coming soon on my phone. Like others have said, I just added to home screen from Brave and it's been working fine. Side note: does anybody have trouble with it when using a VPN?
I read a comment a few days ago that Brave does not like vpn. I have had a few instances of sites malfunctioning until I turned off vpn.
