So true. I buy all new socks and underwear for my wife to give me for Christmas every year. Working outside all summer I tend to destroy socks so I simply retire the whole stock and start new. As a concrete contractor business slows to nearly a stop in the Michigan winter so I plow snow and its nice having good socks when Im not working 14 hours 6 days like I do in the summer.
I used to live where Fred Meyer was a chain store. All socks were 50% off on Black Friday and I bought a year's worth for the family. I don't know if they still do that, but it certainly saved our family every year!
