That is literally not possible to be man-made. That energy budget is untouchable.

Back in the early stages of COVID (March-ish 2020) we had a decent sized earthquake here in Utah. Everyone on the Wasatch Front felt it when it hit in the early morning, around 5:30 AM. My older brother was closer to the epicenter than I was and he recalls hearing a massive BOOM right as the earthquake hit. I knew there were a lot of tunnels under the Wasatch Front valleys, and It was obvious that this was destruction of them, either the rods of god or some other means.
But, nobody was killed in that earthquake, there were a few injuries but no deaths.

The default for unknown depth used to be 200 km, years ago. I guess someone figured out that the earth's crust is thinner than that in spots, which would mean the quake was starting down in the magma layer. Maybe it can, or we don't understand enough about how the movement of magma affects the top.
I ran across people talking about these pics taken above turkey a couple weeks ago. According to this guy these quakes are happening due to the binary system coming back through. Says crescendo should be around March 11. Regardless of the system or not and wether you believe it or not the pics in this videos sure are crazy.

I was in a 7.1 and the ground shook for months as it settled back down. My nerves were shot. It took me months to clean up the mess it made of me books, pictures, dishes etc. thankfully our house got a green tag, others weren’t so lucky.
Honestly, I’m no expert but this thread is a little disheartening for me because some of the comments are way out there, even for me. I think it is a natural occurrence. And when the notice came across my earthquake app my first thought was to pray for the victims. Knowing the lack of building codes and poor structures in that part of the world, I knew it would be a terrible loss of life.

Quakes come in packs. Once the fault starts moving, sometimes, it keeps sliding for a while until the pressure is relieved. Aftershocks are pretty standard fair, even large ones. The idea that there should only be 1 quake is incorrect.

We need someone with some expertise to explain why those assertions are valid. I'm not a trained geologist, but I will put forward a few things:
Turkey is in the middle of two colliding continents. Africa is drifting north into Europe. In 10-20 million years, the Mediterranean will close as Africa hits Europe. All of that means we're going to see earthquakes along the areas where the continental plates collide.
It's no secret that there's a ton of oil/fossil fuel drilling in this region. Pulling large amounts of volume out of the rock destabilizes the rock under immense pressure and increases the risk of quakes as the pressure equilibrates.
I am not sure if they are fracking here, but if they are, fracking is well known to cause quakes, even in highly stable strata in the middle of continents, again, because of the immense pressure shifts as the slickwater is pumped in and as hydrocarbons (fossil fuels) are pulled out.
10,000 ft is not an unusual depth for oil wells.
We need to exhaust natural explanations before turning to sci-fi. I'm asking for a source here because wild, unfounded speculation isn't helpful to anyone. I'm seeing a ton of crazy garbage floating around about how these quakes are somehow being deliberately caused or timed by nefarious actors.
