"Queen Consort". I always thought a consort was a woman who was kept by a man, as a mistress. To consort with someone is not a good thing, "consorting with criminals", etc. Maybe I am thinking of a courtesan, which is a polite word for whore. She would be the ugliest whore on record, if that's the case. Usually if a man cheats on his wife, it's because the "other woman" leads the man astray with her looks or her willingness to do sexual activity that his wife will not. I spent the time in the garden, but the man I care for likes to watch this stuff because of the uniforms and spectacle, so it has been on.

The top of her crown is not an owl. It is a teardrop shaped diamond seated point down in front of other diamonds ( I believe in a Maltese cross shape). Diamonds and the ability to cut them would not allow an owl design. Putting them together would, and I see your point.

Camilla is the Queen. The title "Consort" refers to her as an aristocrat rather than royal-born. Prince Phillip was royal at birth but would not be elevated to King because he would then out rank Queen Elizabeth. He would never be King Consort. In the event of the Kings death the crown would always revert to William, not to Camilla. Consort refers to her path prior to the Crown. She is now the Coronated Queen of the UK, and that is her proper title. I read an account that does a far better job of explaining it, but that's it in a nutshell.
