She's a natural beauty. Once she gets used to it, she's going to love how much time and money she'll save. Remind her to moisturize and sun protection.
interesting point you bring up...why, exactly, is it called "makeup"? my objection for decades! why do we teach young women that they are not perfectly beautiful as they are, and do not need to "MAKE UP FOR" any perceived deficit they envision??? guys are fine just as they are, no need to make up for any deficit, but young women must "make up" for not looking like kardashian?? to me it's philosophically and psychologically damaging to girls/women's psyches...imo
Women focus on their personal appearance because men are attracted to the visual. Men focus on their personal success because women are attracted to confidence. I don’t think it was a conspiracy to hurt women, I think it’s the natural order. And if women stop focusing on their appearance (no make up, no jewelry, no attractive clothing, no hairstyles, not shaving their legs, not shaving their armpits), they are going to start looking like dudes.
I agree with this. And I think that there is a way to tastefully allow yourself to look beautiful, without having to pour it all on. That’s not just make up - but clothing and general overall personal care.
I agree, I am a makeup person for sure. I don't view it as a way to hide myself or be something I'm not. I see it as enhancing what I already have, and creative expression tbh. One of the things that calms me down is putting on a full face of makeup. Also, I wish the OP posted which brands are woke.
tell her not to worry... if her man was blind... would her inner beauty be worth living with? sadly... superficial beauty is the only attractive thing for many people...
Honestly, makeup distorts how you view yourself. I used to wear a decent amount of makeup in my teen years and early 20's. When I was about 25, I noticed I didn't really like how I looked without it, like I didn't even like my own face. So, with combination of that realization and not going out as much, I stopped using makeup, only worn it on occasions, started taking care of the quality of my skin. Slowly, I began to realize I looked way better without it. Now, I hardly ever wear makeup or just light foundation.
Wow. I’m a 47 y/o man. I’m sorry I had no idea what y’all girls go through in this whole mess. I’ve only seen through my guy eyes. Weird for me to realize this now. But great for you! ❤️
I love this. It's stigmatization, imo, on us, the everyday gals, who believe we are unattractive without it and more attractive with it. Can we not blame it on the media? The guys don't have to wear it, so why should we, right? So, why do I not listen to my husband when he says I am more beautiful without it? I need to rethink this whole thing.
no makeup means no makeup. its not an objection to looking whorish. its an objection to relying on industrial chemicals to deceive people into thinking you look different.
to each their own. some natural cosmetic products can be nice, especially for occasions. but the practise of applying a plastic mask every day is just nasty, regardless of how subtly and tastefully its done.
It’s like the leftist movement to discourage women from shaving their legs, armpits, and upper lip, because that hair is natural and only the patriarchy says otherwise. Do the conservative men also want women with hairy legs, armpits, and upper lips? It could be argued all that shaving is making the woke corporations rich but... hairy armpits on a woman, ugh.
I may be in the minority, but I've always appreciated women who are talented with their makeup. It's important to not go overboard into ho' territory, but there are many women who are restrained and very skilled and I appreciate that just like I appreciate a woman who dresses well or does a nice job with her hair.
I think it's kind of attractive that my wife can tweak her look a little bit when she wants - accentuate her eyes or her lips or her skin depending on her mood. I love her without but I love what she can do with a few minutes in front of a mirror too.
On special occasions, I just darken my eyebrows (because I have blonde hair) and wear a little eye shadow. When I see women with false eyelashes, eyeliner, and lipstick, I tend to look twice (to see if they are a transexual). These days the heavy make-up makes you wonder. I think this gender T lunacy has made heavy make-up very unappealing.
No matter how many times I tell my woman I prefer her w/out the makeup she just will not believe me.
For television/media settings where you have to account for lighting and creating a look to match the content I can understand it, but at home or even at events I just prefer a more subdued and natural look and she refuses to believe it.
I suspect women will draw a different & better sort of man when they adopt this approach.
I think it isn't just you, but the rest of the world that keeps your woman from eschewing makeup. Unfortunately, most of the civilized world judges and makes women insecure. The makeup and fashion industries prey on that insecurity. That being said, I prefer little to none also, and I don't really approach ladies that wear tons of it. I might make an exception if she was good with farm implements or a horse
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
(1 Peter 3:3-4)
I stopped using soap and any anxiety or stress feeling I had in my heart has gone away. I don't get bitten by mosquitoes anymore either. I'm way calmer.
Apple cider vinegar on my skin and conditioner.. Homemade deodorant.
I wear very little and never wear it unless its a special occasion and then only a little blush and shadow. I learned years ago that your skin needs to breathe. Hair too. We don't need all that stuff.
Growing up, women only wore makeup on special occasions. Today it's common to see them spend almost an hour doing it every morning. It's disgusting. Improve your health first, then hygiene, even putting on a face mask every night, isn't that what women did back then so their natural skin comes out looking nice youthful and glowing? There are so many great treatments out there for your skin and they don't cost a lot. Makeup costs a fortune and I'm pretty sure its toxic!
I've never worn makeup except 3 or 4 times for special occasions (bare minimum).
My dad always said.. "Don't paint the barn until it needs it". Now that I could do with some painting, it's too late, I dont know how and my husband and I dont care! Lol
Dang it. Just noticed that CeraVe is a subsidiary of L'Oreal.
But there are other tinted sunscreen / moisturizers, some from companies that treat rosacea so it will be more medical section of the store than the beauty department.
From the same seller, I buy the non-tinted (I'm really fair-skinned, so the non-tinted works better for me). You can use it as a moisturizer, too. I have ridiculously sensitive skin and this stuff always calms my skin and gives me a nice glow (and keeps me from turning into a lobster if I have to be outside).
the new “look” is to make women look like trannys. Shaved eyebrows that are penciled back in. contouring. heavy eye make up. duck lips. make up allows men to wear woman face.
i’m glad to see real women embracing their naked beauty. normalize this. because a she/him will never be able to be naked faced and look like a woman.
cute
certainly not. i genuinely think she looks better without
i often favor no-makeup... i just don't like the idea of a bunch of plastic shit on someones face.
some people do admittedly benefit from it. but SIL looks lovely natural, and i don't know why she'd cover up anyways.
Ditto!
She's a natural beauty. Once she gets used to it, she's going to love how much time and money she'll save. Remind her to moisturize and sun protection.
Most people don't like liars to be honest. That's all makeup is at the end of the day.
She looks better and approachable.
More down to earth.
Out of all of them I thought she was prettiest without make up 👍
Because she still has a natural glow to her. She doesn't look overworked and under slept.

You are both spot-on. There seems to be a recent trend around here, to the effect that "women who use makeup are just Woke sluts."
I expect this kind of sourpussed puritainism from feminists,
I agree, I am a makeup person for sure. I don't view it as a way to hide myself or be something I'm not. I see it as enhancing what I already have, and creative expression tbh. She looks beautiful without makeup!
No makeup works for her. How is her attitude? Could complete the whole package.
Plz tell me shes she single. I like how she thinks ;)

Now imagine if you turned into a lunatic and bled through your pecker every month.
LOL
Well done ladies.
Good. Who wants to eat lipstick when they kiss?
Depends on the flavor? Don't mean to sound shallow, but something about an extra sweet kiss does it for me. Even the "right" perfume.
Ahh the taste & scent of a woman
Spot on. So many guys here seem to hate hyperfemininity...it is sad
"the taste and scent of a woman" has nothing to do with lipstick or perfume, does it really? fresh and clean works every time!
I love this. It's stigmatization, imo, on us, the everyday gals, who believe we are unattractive without it and more attractive with it. Can we not blame it on the media? I don’t think most men are aware of how makeup even works. When they say they prefer no makeup, I think they mean whore makeup.
no makeup means no makeup. its not an objection to looking whorish. its an objection to relying on industrial chemicals to deceive people into thinking you look different.
to each their own. some natural cosmetic products can be nice, especially for occasions. but the practise of applying a plastic mask every day is just nasty, regardless of how subtly and tastefully its done.
It's terrible for your skin.
I think one of the reasons I look younger than my age is that I don't wear makeup.
I probably would for special occasions, video, or a photo shoot.
But day in and day out, I like a little eyeliner (sometimes) and lip color. And then it's usually a tinted lip balm from Burt's Bees.
Beautiful skin starts on the inside. Skin is our largest organ. So I focus on feeding it -- preferably not with plastic.
It's always better to see what you're going to wake up with than to be lied to.
Nice sentiment, but
The liberal trend is declutter, no makeup, clean girl aesthetic etc
Because they consider the before patriarchal and catering to male gaze
Look at all the leading women in our movement, look at Trump's daughters, and Melania
All hyperfeminine, all wearing makeup
It is beautiful, and we should not let that sort of female expression be destroyed by the left
Let the alphabet libtards be fleeced by rainbow capitalist companies
And let's start showing these companies who has the spending power
Too many people here look down on hyperfemininity
Even though it absolutely triggers liberals
Y'all may prefer your deer skinning and mudding rough and tumble gals
I will always celebrate and lift up my artsy, silly, girly girly wife

& I think it's sweet you appreciate that ❤👌
All I see is happiness and beauty one the right side.
On special occasions, I just darken my eyebrows (because I have blonde hair) and wear a little eye shadow. Makeup is bad for the skin, so it's not really a fair comparison until their skin heals up.
No matter how many times I tell my woman I prefer her w/out the makeup she just will not believe me.

Is there a list of the cosmetic brands that are a part of the woke companies?
I put this further down the board, but saw your question and, since you probably won't notice it below:

Thank you
Makeup / cosmetics, cigarette smoking and the sun kills beautiful skin.
Lucky one here. Wife hasn’t worn makeup since she “caught me” 😳 35 years ago.
Now try soap.
I stopped using soap and any anxiety or stress feeling I had in my heart has gone away. I don't get bitten by mosquitoes anymore either. I'm way calmer.
Apple cider vinegar on my skin and conditioner.. Homemade deodorant.
most "soap" products aren't soap, just chemical 'sudsing agents'.
I wear very little and never wear it unless its a special occasion and then only a little blush and shadow. I learned years ago that your skin needs to breathe. Hair too. We don't need all that stuff.

Do woman not know that guys will absolute rip on them behind closed doors for putting makeup on like this?
There is a fine line between acceptable and looking like a fucking clown. Who are you trying to impress? It certainly ain't guys...
Everyone in the pic looks better without it imo.
thumbs up.
I hate make-up, particularly in a professional setting. It's equivalent to a guy rocking up to work with a 12 inch cucumber shoved down his pants.
I've never worn makeup except 3 or 4 times for special occasions (bare minimum). My dad always said.. "Don't paint the barn until it needs it". Now that I could do with some painting, it's too late, I dont know how and my husband and I dont care! Lol
Side note. If they want to still have minimum concealer there are many tinted sunscreen brands that are made by non woke companies.
Alternate economy.
Like what?

I don't see any gay flags so that's a win.
Check the list at the link below. It'll show you which "woke" charities get money from which skincare/makeup companies:

Also, this is a good tinted sunscreen:

For a single guy, mornings after an evening of activity can be rough.
Raccoon.
Now let's see some natural eyebrows.
They're all trimmed, another trend that should have died a decade ago.
why not just support or create a makeup company that isn't woke?
No they aren't.
