Jumping to conclusions is a bad look. Could be duper’s delight, could be a result of being surprised and sort of a deer in the headlights on tv.
A "high caliber weapon"? "I believe it was an AR-15". Did he see it? Has he ever seen one? Has he ever held a weapon? The police while in the midst of a raid repeatedly said "non-lethal"? If not a Fed, this guy just made this up to get on TV, just like the guy who made up the 3 Chinese pilots Sum Ting Wong, etc.

He's not a fed. He's a frat boy. His mannerisms are the same as a guy trying to impress a girl with a story at a bar. He's emotionally distant from the whole thing because to him, it's like he was watching a movie or a video game cut scene. So, he's bragging like he would to his friends that he saw it, like it was a Vegas show or something.
People on this site often are too hypersensitive. They look for conspiracy everywhere. Anything unusual happens and someone here is claiming any white guy near it was a fed.
Occam's razor. The simplest answer is most likely the correct one.
It is kind of “unusual”, as you say, for him to be claiming that he thinks the guy was firing “an AR” - this from inside the house where nobody can actually see just what the guy had for a weapon. Just like the gal who allegedly shot up a school, allegedly got shot twenty times or some such number yet there weren’t bullet holes or blood stains visible on her body. Or like the strange behavior the supposed “EMT” folks at the St. George Floyd arrest incident exhibited. Maybe I’m being “too hypersensitive”, as you say, but it’s the little things that kind of “catch” in one’s mind, flagging that there’s something amiss in the narrative being fed to us.
