But nothing prevents it...and good for Carter if he is beating the odds. Hospice is only a regime for palliative care, designed to make the patient as comfortable as possible. Sometimes, people do so well under hospice that they "recover" and can resume normal life. (From my wife, a professional care-giver.)
Thanks for the decent response to a mortal challenge we will all encounter. Much more wholesome than the vulture-like rubbing of hands in eager anticipation of demise.
On the other hand, you hate to see a person suffer for a long time while clinging to life. But one year of hospice, aka the deathpanel, is a milestone.
Hospice is not a "deathpanel." My wife works in those environments. Some are better than others, but that is true of anything human. Please get that nonsense out of your thinking.
Well, my wife has been a caregiver in hospice situations and knows about them professionally. Sometimes they can do much to reverse a declining trend. Your expertise is what? Prejudice? You have no credentials for the authority you wish to display.
That is true, especially in a situation where one has been undergoing cancer treatments for oh so many years such as Jimmy Carter. Most hospice stays last six months or less and usually end with the person's death.
It can be if it does work. What have you against that? Is there some date on the calendar where you turn off the taps, walk in, and shoot him dead? One day it will be you.
Freezer burn soon
Stop.🤣🤣
😹😹😹
He’s that ziplock bag that has been in the freezer for so long, what it originally contained is a mystery.
The Sharpie ink wore off, eh?
u/#kek
I love you guys!
Exactly. Usually when one elderly spouse goes, the other quickly follows.
I bet he's dead and they are waiting for a major distraction.
I bet he's already dead but don't see what the distraction would be. He was a huge norhinvurger president, his funeral wouldn't distract me at all
True but the msm would cover it 24/7. Gives them a great excuse of ignoring important news they don't like.
That's be the same controlled governmedia who undercut the Carter administration every chance they got, back in the Seventies.
Carter wasn't part of the Beltway Elite, and they hated his guts.
They do hate farmers....
And those who are not in the globalhomo club. Carter was the only one who didn't get an envelope at bushes funeral.
Yeah. Odds are really good you don't make it a year on hospice.

Unpopular, I'm sure, but hospice care has morphed in the past few years to include a long-term component.
They'll shake the frost of the old bastard's corpse when they need the distraction.
I have to agree with everyone else either it is comms or he is long passed away and they are waiting for the right time.
Sure, you can hire a cortège, some black horses and drag a casket around the country on any day…
Soviet America. Where you do not die until the Politburo decides you die.
👑
brain cancer isn't that bad for peanut farmers, I guess?
i think jimmy is dead.
Lol
Happy Anniversary to Jimmy!!!
One Year in Hospice.
You did it buddy!!!

Regardless, hospice does kill you.

Of course the usual outcome is death; the person is dying. But it is absurd to suggest that hospice accelerates or causes the process.
Huh. Shouldn’t he be released from Hospice care if he’s still alive this long? Hospice is not long term care. That’s not how that works. 🧐🧐
It can be if it does work. What have you against that? Is there some date on the calendar where you turn off the taps, walk in, and shoot him dead? One day it will be you.
On ice, but will be thawed on a moments notice.
If he's still alive then I trust God's timing.
Pepe-level datefagging analysis points to July 2024 “public death” https://greatawakening.win/p/17si9yoogk/stage4-pancreatic-cancer-5-year-/
When my grandmother had her stroke and went to hospice, she died less than a week later.
To coin a phrase, he dead.
Not bloody likely
Hospice = death
A client I had on home hospice moved to a hospice facility and lived another 5 years
Exactly. And what is wrong with that? Nothing.
Ziplock freezer seal bag.
Still my all time favorite President, except Trump.
As a person I like him too. In over his head as prez, that's all. And I don't think he looks back on those years fondly.
