Federal law prohibits non-citizens from voting in federal elections. A state court cannot overrule federal law. Would would think a state Supreme Court justice would know that. Ridiculous.

Exactly. Arizona is a strange outlier with this type of ballot. It is a ballot for those that haven’t given proof of citizenship when registering. They claim that the college students have a problem proving citizenship. That is probably how they pushed it through the legislative process.
These 98000 aren’t non-citizens, they are people whose driver’s licenses were first issued before 1996. They were supposed to be asked submit some additional proof of citizenship (a license issued after 1996 was automatically good) but owing to a DMV screwup it didn’t happen.
37% of them are registered Republicans.
And this ruling only applies to the races for Arizona state office, they’ve been eligible to vote for federal office (president, VP, senator, representative) all along and unrelated to this case.
I believe this ruling is a lot like current marijuana rulings. while it is legal in states, it still remains illegal under federal law. that would mean any individual voting in a state for a federal election they are not allowed to vote in federally would have to be enforced by federal law enforcement. in other words, they are making an endrun around the federal law...
According to an anonymous whistle blower back in 2021, who shared screenshot copies of encrypted tweets within the Dem party of AZ, the Dem party leaders and election workers were receiving large cash donations from 'someone/some group' to throw the 2020 election to the Dems. Stephen Richer was an enthusiastic recipient of that largesse.
None of these Dems in AZ hasn't sold out. It is very disheartening.
In addition, to his detriment, Richer looks like AOC's Soyboy boyfriend.
