NONE of the restaurant/hotel employees, cab drivers, etc. were white...all black, hispanic, foreign. was strange to have a cab driver with an accent try to teach us about Virginia history.

The difference is the business owner pays them a minimal wage instead of supplying housing and food for their upkeep... and the illegal laborers are free to go to any other plantation they wish and work as a slave there instead.
