You can be prepared...to a point, but the reality remains - You STILL need power, unless you want to seriously downgrade your level of comfort in 4 seasons - and you're only gonna get so far with solar, batteries and off grid stuff.
Plenty will challenge that after they've been honing their off grid power contraption for the past 2 decades... but seriously, you can't really store a lot of gasoline, you can do diesel with limited options, wood is only good for heat, unless you've got a working gasifier, and you're not running an A/C unit 24/7 off solar and batteries for very long... especially when it's 98F and 98% humidity.
The limiting factor isn't food and water... it's access to reliable, and lots of...power.

Need good operators, resistance management, etc. You do not need to be young- the most gifted and resistance minded generations (Boomer and Gen x) are Middle Aged and older. However, fitness counts with combat. But that is a very small part when operating and building resistance against Tyrannical overlords.

Company gave us notice on a Friday we needed proof of vaccine by Monday.
Ended up researching exemption letters and emailed HR that evening with mine.
It was approved on Sunday and our contract was sold that Tuesday. New company assumed we were all vaxxed so I was grandfathered in.
Ended up working a lot of overtime for my sick co-workers.
