It's strange that now that so much of the truth IS coming out - the release of the so-called Epstein files - I find myself stepping back from it as well.
I thought I'd probably want to read every word, but now I'm reading just enough here and there to see what's being released.
I'm mainly watching to see how average people are responding to it, and even then it's just enough to be informed.
At the risk of meddling, God provides a remedy for being overwhelmed (burned out, emptied) by this world. Perhaps that person wasn't being an ass, but chose his words poorly, nevertheless his question is a good one. When I read that man's question, I thought of the following verses, they give us the answer to why we're burnt out, as well as the remedy. Whenever we're overwhelmed, we should ask ourselves, "Why are we overwhelmed"? That question is asked, of us,in (Isaiah 26:3) by giving us the answer,before the question. (Isaiah 26:3) states " GOD WILL KEEP HIM IN PERFECT PEACE HIM,WHOSE MIND IS STAYED ON HIM" so it's clear that whenever we are (not) in perfect peace, it's a sign to us that we have let our mind focus on the problems (more) than we have on God " giving us the solution (to burn out) by calling us back to focusing (more) on Him, until we're strong enough(AGAIN) to deal with all the problems. In (Philippians 4:8) God says the same thing but just uses different words. (Philippians 4:8) says "Finally Brothers, whatever is true, whatever is Honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, anything worthy of praise, ( THINK ON THESE THINGS)(and) (the peace of God) which passes all understanding will guard your heart" (in the knowledge and love of God) (replacing problems in our mind, with positive promises from God's word). When were totally drained, stepping back isn't enough. We need to step back (and) REFILL. God's advice to us,Step back from the mess of this world, and spend extra time in His word) which is our strength. It is levels of Zeal. For me I have always told others what is the stuff I learn. For instance in telecom I don’t hoard information and look down on others I work with and laugh if they don’t know little tricks. I will show them and it is up to them to remember or use. One will find you will get the same results. I have always wondered if I am retarded because I will teach and show others instead of that other path of hoarding and looking at others as competition at work.
One guy tried to get fired once and I was standing behind him and he did not know I was there. He knew I was good at what I do and needed me out of the way.
The same in the Spiritual Realm. Many want to show others and others cannot see. My wife cannot see and of late she will tell me how she cannot see how things are connected in real life. She looks at the Bible as something written in the past and how can it be reliable for today… yet she went to a religious school and church every week growing up and I was with hoodlums, drug users and worse growing up.
To this day I still make mistakes with Jesus and I am weak.
