Congratulations anon, thing I was trying to annoy you and get a bit downvoted confirmed by official source. Would be faster if researching would be made earlier even without such source.
As I stated:
You are not real researchers if you are unable to check where those phone comes from. I wouldn't add anything more. What I wrote is already enough, if you would do your research you would know the rest.
According to Q posts we already shall be the news, not just await and consume the news outside MSM.
Well you know, the thing is, I tried researching this. I reached out to this company on several occasions in the last two weeks. There is no phone number, so that wasn't an option. I emailed a few times, no response. I went on the chat feature of their website, which is useless. I am guessing there are people who are either much better at this, or have way more time on their hands than I do, who would get better results. I go with what I can find, and hope that's enough to be helpful to others. Now I found this article, which basically mirrors my concerns about the lack of transparency on basic details one asks when purchasing a new phone. I don't like the idea that someone may be trying to put one over on conservatives like me who just value their privacy. So, I hope this helps someone make a good choice. Who knows, we may come to find out it's a great phone and there's nothing nefarious behind it. But right now, I wouldn't bet $500 on that, and I hope if enough people also refuse, maybe that'll prompt the company to come forward with more information to help consumers be informed.
Well you not "tried" then. You did more ANON.YOU researched. All those things were concerns were already worthy to mention... You shouldn't fear that. You shouldn't fear it as there are people claiming to be anons who not do such things here !
All I am doing is mocking a bit those who are too lazy to do what you did (to kick their lazy ass and to force them to use those thing filling their space between ears).
I am not security expert by the way.But secure and private smartphone is already rather myth. There is really almost none operating system for phones being really open source and used by bigger group of users (except maybe Replicant OS). And even with it smartphone hardware and applications access to everything is still the issue. Brick for calling, computer for the rest.
Sorry to beat a dead horse with this, but I just came across this and was glad I wasn't the only one thinking their lack of transparency with very basic phone-buying questions is a red flag. Buyer beware, frens.
I don't think anyone has a problem with paying patriots. The problem is with people trying to make money off patriots based just on marketing. Similar to a RINO (PINO?).
WE ? No. Not even a bit "we". All credentials to posting this for u/FreedomFan1975 and journalists on redstate.com . While we uncovered nothing, because of research skills lacking basics in cases of many "anons" here.
Is that the one where you can add components to your phone? I.e. upgrade your camera from a 16 mp to a 23 mp camera, swap out the video processor with a newer one, etc?
Additionally, just load a custom ROM on your current phone.
Apparently (and not surprisingly so) it has been scrapped. Besides blatantly obvious bias from Google, the other reason why I hate Google is they're always bringing out products then a year or two later, they scrape it like Google InBox, Google Wave and some more.
Here's another phone: the Fairphone, but I doubt you can do it like the Project Ara's phone, but the Fairphone makes it easy to repair your phone by just taking one component out and replacing it with the same component like unplugging the old one then plugging a new one in.
The bottom line, once you remove the hype, is that this phone runs on an OS called LineageOS, which can be easily loaded onto almost any Android hardware.
LineageOS is free and well supported, no need to pay 500 for someone else to do the work.
Yes, I'm surprised not many people remember this. I stopped reading red state.com for awhile after the elections. They were all RINO and self-righteous in their opinions on how wrong Trump is about election fraud and how he just needs to gracefully accept the elections results. Pure RINO boomer drivel. 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Haven't read the article but yeah I could tell it's a honeypot phone. I need a new phone but their website won't list out the specs for the phone and it had "buy now" buttons literally everywhere, showing their desperation.
Plus 90 day warranty on the phone? BRAND NEW? Wow...
You should be suspicious of anything that seems to be too-targeted at you. "Wow, this speaks to all of my tastes and sensibilities!" Yes, that's how targeted advertisement works.
I'm right there with you. Right now with so few details, it's a little too convenient. Maybe I'm just more tight-fisted with my money than others. I assume given the audience here, the vast majority of us work for our living. The common thread here is that we are NOT the ones wanting the hand-outs, and therefore we demand value for what we spend.
Have you ever noticed when anything new and improved comes along, there is always someone telling you it's a scam with absolutely no evidence. Almost like they want you to keep using the devices and the services that are already being monitored.
Are you able to locate the answers to the many questions being asked about this phone? If so, please share...I'll retract all of it. But as of now, they're still questions with no answers, and they're legitimate questions.
Believe me, nothing would make me happier than to be able to buy a phone that will truly not be able to get censored, hacked, etc. I was very hopeful about this. It just doesn't seem to be turning out to be what was advertised. I wish it were.
It's a brand-new device JUST announced. The lack of answers doesn't mean bad answers. People need to stop shitting their pants over every little thing. Everything isn't a global conspiracy.
I can assure you, my drawers are clean. And you may be right - honestly let's hope this is all clarified. But don't you think these answers should be known before expecting people to shell out $500?
I don't buy that thinking anymore. Fox News is regularly shit on by most of the MSM, academia, etc and yet it's the same shit. Granted they are MSM as well, but Fox will often pretend to support much of what real patriots support to keep viewership and brand loyalty.
Plus at some point MSM can psyop us and either speak well of or not speak at all about something bad just to throw us off.
That's very persuasive, I agree. This whole thing just concerns me because I need more info before I'm gonna spend $500 on anything. Where are you seeing stories about it in the MSM? Do you have any links you could share here?
We probably won't even see the phone for at least a year. Everyone should fully research everything they purchase, especially something that is supposed to give you some privacy. The phone was announced when? Two weeks ago? The entire article reads like a hit piece. Until we see a final product that's been fully tested, I think we should hold back judgement.
That's fair - also the site states that it would ship in August. My concern right now is that people may be rushing out to pay $500 for something that may not be what it's claiming to be. I just think WAY more information needs to be verified about it before they should expect people to blindly buy it on their word that it'll solve the problems of today's conservative.
Gizmodo who is very liberal condemned them for fleecing MAGA base while stating wanting a privacy focused google free phone is actually a good idea but Freedom Phone isn't it
I asked about this a few days ago..
Glad someone dug..
it felt like a scam..
seeing the guy's photo all I can say is I am reminded of Trevor from Nikola...
I was skeptical of the phone to begin with. Just like I had thoughts of selling "resist" items and donating all profits to the Trump campaign and afterwards tell the resist folks they donated to Trump.
But don't want to read the article because I don't like redstate.
The Librem 5 is about the best one I’ve found for privacy. You can buy made in America but the wait is crazy right now. It runs on Pure OS which as far as I can tell is akin to Linux
When we start seeing the blockchain fully utilized we'll be getting open source, decentralized governance, secure usage phone operating systems that replace the software on phones already in production. They'll likely run on WIFI on an open source, decentralized, secure internet.
The costs will be covered by companies looking to carve out a niche in the ecosystem that can be monetized, or simply grassroots by users with incentives to grow a network in exchange for earning governance cryptocurrencies, or increasing the trading value of the networks' tokens.
I rather give up the stupid tracking devices all together.
It's just another shiney bobble to milk money out of the masses.
Better idea....
Arrest the swine already!
Sometimes ,..a rude Awakening is the most memorable awakening.
If you dont want society to memory hole this...make the stragglers be dumbstruck with their Awakening.
So they wont forget anytime soon.
If you're still asleep..you've earned a rude Awakening.
Not saying what is what, but saying "it might not get the latest patches" is a poor argument -- ARE the phones getting the updates or not? That's up to the provider, ANY provider, not just them.
It's produced in Taiwan -- where ALL semiconductor chips come from.
It's more expensive than the base phone -- it has a customized OS, shouldn't it be? Still nowhere near the ridiculously high end phone price points.
What if red state is publishing big tech misinformation?
I feel the OP did a fair amount of research to put a forth a buyer beware kinda thread. With his emails and online chat for said phone. Which I appreciate bigly. I think I’ll save my money as well, see where this goes. But some of this does seem shady, esp for $500.
You're welcome :) Happy to help. Hopefully more details will come out - I'm still cautiously hopeful (really I just want a phone that has nothing to do with apple or google), but as of now I don't think people should rush out and buy something so expensive with so few answers to basic questions. If I ever do get a response to my emails to this company, I'll update my posts.
OP mentioned in the comments that he emailed them, did online chat with no replies, for a few weeks, nothing in return. He, the poster of this thread, went out of his way to find info about this phone and received no feedback. And a sign of a product that could have some serious problems right off the bat, IMO. And I was thanking him for his time researching said phone.
I can confirm that the very common details that most anyone would want to know about a phone they're buying are completely unavailable from this company. That to me is the most damning of all. Take from it what you will. Buyer beware.
Warranty information, insurance coverage availability, technical specs, what specific apps it comes preloaded with, for starters. Those are just the questions I had. Others may have different questions, but overall if you've been to their site, you'll see there aren't a whole lot of details. There also isn't a phone number to call them at. I emailed them twice in the last two weeks and still haven't received a response.
My first sticky!!!!! Thank you, mods!! :)
Congratulations anon, thing I was trying to annoy you and get a bit downvoted confirmed by official source. Would be faster if researching would be made earlier even without such source.
As I stated:
According to Q posts we already shall be the news, not just await and consume the news outside MSM.
However - posting this is absolutely good job.

It would also seem that English is not your 1st language.
In Soviet Russia, phone secures you
Because it isn't. Not all anons are Americans, however we support you and USA as land of the free.
Don't trust me ? Fine. You shouldn't. Do your own research anon.WWG1WGA.
:) I appreciate the support, and the challenge.
I admire your mission, but your method can come off as gatekeeping and snarky/judgemental which can be off-putting and stifle your mission.
Just some constructive feedback. Definitely all for people dogging deeper into things and not accept all at face value.
I love this..
Sorry to beat a dead horse with this, but I just came across this and was glad I wasn't the only one thinking their lack of transparency with very basic phone-buying questions is a red flag. Buyer beware, frens.
You did a good job bringing out this info. Thanks.
And soooo, we've uncovered another PAYTRIOT. 👍
Because you wanted the phone to be free? Huh?
I don't think anyone has a problem with paying patriots. The problem is with people trying to make money off patriots based just on marketing. Similar to a RINO (PINO?).
RIMO - Republican in Marketing Only

Chineese made phone with shit hardware and a processor with a million back doors. If you want a de-googled phone look at pinephone.
Is that the one where you can add components to your phone? I.e. upgrade your camera from a 16 mp to a 23 mp camera, swap out the video processor with a newer one, etc?
Additionally, just load a custom ROM on your current phone.
I thought PinePhone was a modular phone but I was mistaken.
I was actually referring to Google's (yuck) modular phone, the Project Ara.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Ara
Apparently (and not surprisingly so) it has been scrapped. Besides blatantly obvious bias from Google, the other reason why I hate Google is they're always bringing out products then a year or two later, they scrape it like Google InBox, Google Wave and some more.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairphone_3
are they finally shipping the Pinephone?
You can tell because it sounds stupid
things that aren’t stupid don’t sound so stupid
LOL :) I like your logic!
The bottom line, once you remove the hype, is that this phone runs on an OS called LineageOS, which can be easily loaded onto almost any Android hardware.

The never-Trumper RedState is an authoritative source now? Never mind this phone or not, they're off my trust list indefinitely.
Yes, I'm surprised not many people remember this. I stopped reading red state.com for awhile after the elections. No thanks.
Looks interesting 👍🏽
Finman looks like a glowie faggot…
Dont buy phones from glowfaggots !!!
And the fact his freedomOS is just a customized android OS…. Tells you all you need to know… google still gets its 10%… just like the big guy!!!

The fact that the msm is attacking it as a scam is enough for me to know it’s legit.

Excuse me,but it means. Even if that wouldn't be scam that would be "security by obscurity",most terrible security practice possible.
Just announced and hyped by Candace Owens, who has how many millions of followers? It's possible the company has been overwhelmed with the response.
It's definitely an open market for who ever can bring a product to retail. With what's going on right now I can understand the hype.
I'm still holding out for the Gab phone
LOL me too. Hopefully Gab will be more forthcoming with information when they release theirs.
Well I'm not going to repeat what others here is very clearly and specifically stated about this so, I'm just gonna add some snark instead:
"Freedom phone"!? Were these the same marketing asshats that thought "Freedom fries" was a good idea after 911??? Idiots.
LOL :) Thanks for the refreshing point of view!
They really called it freedom phone?
Gizmodo who is very liberal condemned them for fleecing MAGA base while stating wanting a privacy focused google free phone is actually a good idea but Freedom Phone isn't it
A Candace Owens post was the first I heard of Freedom phone... she was endorsing it.
I think it was on telegram, so I'm not sure if it was really her ....
I asked about this a few days ago.. Glad someone dug.. it felt like a scam.. seeing the guy's photo all I can say is I am reminded of Trevor from Nikola...

This guy is how I imagine an “entrepreneur bro” would look like
Obama Phone
https://www.goost.io/ is this the same ? On the go so hopefully someone can check out..
I just ordered the pine phone that was mentioned in the article. No freedom phone for me.
But with a name like that how can you go wong?
This has been done before by a 3 letter agency.

Anyone remember the "Obama Phone'? Yeah, same energy
