I've wondered if the early swearing in is yet another reason to support the idea that Biden is not really President, since the Constitution specifically states that noon on the 20th is when a new President shall assume the office.
It seems weird. I mean, it could just be that they were excited they completed the steal successfully and all hope is lost. But 5 minutes? Considering that they've always tried to make it at least look like they're doing everything "by the book" with the whole song and dance for at least a century now you'd think they could wait 5 minutes to seal the deal.

I've been watching America's long, slow slide into the forced acceptance of tyranny - pretty closely - since WJC was first elected. I was in a barracks in a foreign country when JFK was shot in the head.

The notion that I would prefer a democrat president - at this time - is a notion you made up and are attributing to me. I never put that proposition forward and disavow it (of course).
At this time, Trump is by far the best we got - at least he's the best we know about. America is a big nation and there may be other men, even women, who would do as well or better. Trump is genius level intelligence, but there are many others. JFK was also very high IQ. He had a quality of genuineness that DJT has not yet exhibited consistently.
Trump is not some perfect man we should idolize. That path is very dangerous ("for our democracy"?). As well suited to his calling and to the excigencies of the times as he obviously is, DJT has what seem to me to be personal failings. The main one is physical-personal vanity (self involvement). It often comes with being an alpha +++, which is what Trump is. He would be even stronger without his vanity.
Another of what I perceive to be failings is Trump's willingness to allow the savior mantle to fall around his shoulders. I do not believe the plan is the child of Trump's mind. I do believe he has had major influence on it especially in the economic sphere, but it's not his plan alone.
The part of the plan I disagree with is the dawdle. I think it would have been better to wrest control from the cabal sooner and inform the average people after the fact but I do not have ALL the facts. There may be dirty bombs of one type or another (nuclear or bio) in the way.
