If they are shown to have deliberately and knowingly introduced a harmful product or actively covered up the danger after acquiring knowledge, they will be liable, both civilly and criminally. This will take a long time to play out and many will suffer but too many are in too deep to back out now.

That's how he should at minimum answered, not to mention he should have steam rolled that jerk repoirter.
