As someone who does a lot of research, I noticed the change in DDG searches almost a year ago. Information I was able to access easily in the past had suddenly become buried. Like other censored search engines, some information I had to have the exact title of the paper or article to access it. This latest info is no surprise - they have been adjusting search results for some time.
People seriously can not handle power. Sad.
Well, I am sure they are going to get the message now. Just deleted DDF on all my engines. I know I am not the only one. I think they are feeling the pain right about now.

Yea, I switched to Brave browser over a year ago when I realized Firefox was tweaking things. Tried startpage but I didn't like it. Too many sponsored adds at the top of the search. Also, with the stuff I research I didn't notice any difference in the results from what I was getting from the rest of the censored engines. I dropped DDG and switched to Brave search and Qwant. So far, Qwant doesn't seem to be filtering my searches and the results are coming up like they used to on DDG. I haven't played with Brave search much, so they jury is still out on them. Yandex has language issues but it is okay. I refuse to use Google translate so navigating Yandex has been a pain.

I have certain topics I use since I do a lot of research. That is always my first clue when things change. I noted it with DDG about a year ago. I tried some other engines but did not see results that were any different from what I was already getting. I was hopeful with startpage but was quickly disappointed. The usual narrative slant was coming up at the top of the searches and I didn't like all the sponsored stuff. On the computer it is not so bad, but when searching on a phone it is a pain in the ass. So far, Qwant and Brave results are coming up like what I was used to getting. So we shall see.
I wonder about public statements like this all of a sudden especially knowing how conservatives are going to react. Then they sit back and watch where we go. We are predictable.

Try looking up "Elephants Are not Birds", it's a children's book. It shows up in every search except DDG.
I use search.brave.com FireFox has an add on so you can make Brave your default search engine.
And DDG is stupidest brand name ever.
I downloaded the Brave browser on Android, switched my bookmarks and deleted ddg altogether. Was hearing shifty things for a bit but this sealed the deal.
I use both brave and FF on my laptop, and Brave and Safari on my phone. Sometimes Brave blocks stuff and I’m too lazy to figure out why and fix it.
It should have been obvious once they start pushing globo warming. I shot them in the kneecaps once I noticed that.
