How did you delete the account? I have not seen any way to do that. Mine is "permanently suspended" and I don't have any control whatsoever.
There’s a delete option. If you do, they automatically put it in a temporary deleted state for a month before taking it down. It wasn’t hard.
The plandemic did it for me. The way any discussion was completely shut down
I had no choice; got axed during the summer of 2020 with about 20K others. I am guessing that the delete option is available if you haven't been axed (permanently suspended).

I just logged in for the first time in a year and apparently they've unlocked my account. I have zero followers and zero following, but I no longer see any messages about me being permanently suspended!
I take that back. I'm still suspended. Here's what I wrote to Twitter for an appeal:
I was suspended in January of last year without given a reason, just stating that I had violated Twitter policies without even pointing to any specific policy (because I didn't). I had just posted a sarcastic response to the Twitter team for congratulating itself on censoring people, and then I was censored. Now that Elon Musk owns Twitter, I politely demand that my account be reinstated. Thanks, shitlibs.

I was mistaken. It just didn't tell me up front that I was suspended. I tried doing something and THEN it told me I was suspended. So, I filed an appeal.

I used to read Twitchy every single day. Don't know how I forgot about it. I also remember the day Michelle Malkin followed me on twitter. I was downtown at my city's IRS building protesting whatever we were protesting at the time, during Obama years. I had that twitter since 2008 and it got wiped in the last big purge before the election steal.

I got an email from twitter the day it got bought. It said my password had been reset. I have logged into twatter exactly once and that was about 7 years ago, nothing since. I wonder if that was part of a bot purging or some sort of algorithm reset to a previous version.
