I have never been a Cruise fan. Yes, I saw the 1st Top Gun, good movie, but Cruise was just being Cruise. This movie is the first movie that I really believed him as an ACTOR, his character is far removed from the Cruise you have known in the past. He's no Michael Caine or anything, but he has finally reached his potential. I recommend it, even if you are not a Cruise fan.
I consider that film to perhaps be Kubrick's best even though it's far from my favorite. One of the only films that gets through to normies too, can't tell you how many people I've met that understand the implications it suggests.
And that isn’t even the version Kubrick wanted you to see. He died “conveniently” right before they finished editing the film. Steven Spielberg was brought in to “tighten” it up. It’s a theory that Kubrick was killed and that the over four hour rough cut that he showed to Warner Bros. executives has never seen the light of day and was most likely literally destroyed by Spielberg.
Cruise trying like hell to get laid but the only people hitting on him after the argument with his wife are either 13 yrs old, crazy, or gay....tries a hooker, gets interrupted before undressing by his wife on the phone... then the hooker has AIDS so he was lucky he didn't get laid! :)
Yep, with you there. Plus, let's face it... Kidman was/is a victim.
Speaking of Butterfly Sugar Babies...hopefully Brittany Spears shares her story now that she's seemingly "free?" She seems pissed enough to do it but we'll see?
Eyes wide shut is the only movie in walked out if. The opening scene was enough to turn me off to both Kidmen and Cruise. I will never again watch anything they are in. Besides that He is a complete werdo.
What I love is the opening message to the fans. He was respectful to his audience. and spoke about the film with a bit of humility. for him and other actors it is hard for them to come to the fans and just say this movie is for you.
Michael Caine in Blame it on Rio (with a young Demi Moore) was hilarious (was in my teens when it came out) but then again, his character was banging a teen girl... sooo...
I know Hollywood bad. I for the most part have stopped watching movies, cable tv and subscription services. That said, the nostalgia I have with the original brought me in into a movie theater to see Maverick with my wife and 12 year old daughter.
It was the best movie I've seen in years! So fun and amazing cinematography! It was nice to see such high quality filming since most movies are 99.9% superhero cgi.
The biggest takeaway for me was that for a couple hours I forgot about how everything is going to hell. I was able to watch my kiddo have a blast watching a movie that's history holds near and dear to my own childhood.
This one is certainly worth seeing on the big screen!
Movie hit all the right notes from the old one while managing to be fresh. Crowd-pleaser for young, old, men, women. Soundtrack was great, the cinematography! I found Jennifer Connelly (age appropriate pretty hot love interest!) to actually have better chemistry with Cruise's character than 'Charlie' in the original. (That was the only thing I didn't like about the original.)
Cruise was 100 percent right to insist this had to open in theaters (after a two YEAR Covid delay!) instead of streaming it like the studio wanted.
Alright dammit I'll see Maverick on the big screen, was gonna firestick it. Totally goes against my Pedowood/actors boycott so will take a hot shower & exfoliate after.
Was 16 when Top Gun came out, saw it with my high school sweetheart (together 10 yrs) so guess a lil Danger Zone nostalgia can't hurt? Should be 'badass" lol
Black female heroine has to save the new gen. Goes out of her way to make sure you know she is a lesbian 3 times. Black mastermind behind the retro guys.
The last word in the movie is "Coexist".
But they dont cuck Pratt, which was my primary fear.
Its the expected but in a tolerable dose. 1/15 MCs being gay.
Agreed. I took the kids to see it in 3D. Watching pterodactyls and ducks fly together at the end seemed a bit much. The parallels to B.Gat3s character were the scariest part for me. I’m surprised he wasn’t the Hollywood hero.
I can agree. Good movie.
My theater was PACKED full of old men and women with VETERAN hats on.
Felt good to be surrounded by so many pro American patriots!
They still need soldiers who aren't all trannies and fags, who can actually do things, and aren't just diversity hires. Despite the communist push to weaken our military in recent years, the military is one place where that very much continues to matter. They virtue signal as a communist method of demoralization.
We have no idea what country it is they go into. Korea is a possibility, the Balkans, the only clue we have is that it's close to a body of water, the terrain has mountains, and that the country has American made jets ...we have no idea what the geopolitical reason for any of this,
They showed a map of the Indian Ocean/Hormuz when they were doing the simulations at Fightertown. The country was 100% Iran, especially since they’re the only other country that has EVER owned F-14s.
How do you have a war and not know what country you're fighting? How is the audience supposed to get excited about attacking someone and they don't even know who they actually are?
Everybody doubles down on what troubles them. You probably have dozens of foods you shouldn't be eating for both political and health reasons. But I'm still gonna let you enjoy your meal because we need things like that to get through life so we can be ready to fight the important battles.
Watching Top Gun is not going to enslave people who are already wise to what's going on in the world.
Have to say, I’m surprised that woke-free, politics free, patriotic and fun came from Tom Cruise! I think I want to see it. I’ve heard it’s really good.
Good to hear, thanks for the post! My BIL and nephew have been all about dude, you gotta see it!! And I'm off on my Wokywood rant in a heartbeat, pedo this, satanist that.
Maybe now if they offer to watch it again I'll sit in with them. OG Top Gun was awesome, which BTW my nephew hadn't seen before, going to be watching it with his parents this weekend. He's 30.
Saw it in the theaters on Memorial Day, it was awesome! And this comes from someone who doesn’t watch movies and hasn’t seen a movie theater in years. I saw the reviews that it was amazing and no woke propaganda and that’s why we went. Worth it.
It was good. I only watched it because my brother came to visit, but yeah it was a great really nostalgic movie. Haven't been to the cinema for years.
When the original soundtrack "chimes" start it will give you a shiver (the music of the topgun school), if you were a fan of the original, and I loved the original, you will get that shiver, so that was so good to get that feeling again.
Also Warlock is the best call sign I ever hear of, and MASSIVE RELIEF there was no reference to woke-shit, which would have been SO EASY to add in (maybe they did and took it out, which is a very good sign if true). "Oh Warlock, only a 2 star?" "yeah, you know how it is for us poor blakz". None of that, so, great. Recommend.
I thoroughly enjoyed it once I was able to suspend my disbelief. It’s pure military industrial complex hype, but it is very entertaining once you turn off your brain. 10/10
Saw it twice. And like all of you, I can't stand lazy Hollywood cash grab films, but this is not that. This one is more of a tribute to modern day badass military combat aviation. It was done very well, and is just awesome.

I love Kubrick's dry humor

Need to rewatch it. I wasn't impressed the first time.
Ditto.
That was one I would not watch because, well, Tom Cruise.
Tom Snooze was a'ight in eyes wide shut, but then again so was MK Butterfly product Nicole Kidman
Yep, with you there. Plus, let's face it... Kidman was/is a victim.
Speaking of Butterfly Sugar Babies...hopefully Brittany Spears shares her story now that she's seemingly "free?" She seems pissed enough to do it but we'll see?
The part as the Irishman was his best role. With Kidman.
I don't think Kidman was in the Monarch program
Her father was a convicted pedophile.
https://thefallingdarkness.com/stanley-kubrick-said-pedophiles-run-the-world-claims-nicole-kidman/
Fiona Barnett who was sexually abused by Nicole's father as a child said Nicole would glare at her when in the house together.

Consider watching Edge of Tomorrow. His character changes a great deal over the course if the film and his acting sells it.
For pure farce, you can't beat his role in Tropic Thunder.
Man I completely agree with you, both of those are really fun movies in my mind
Michael Caine. :D
Michael Caine in Blame it on Rio (with a young Demi Moore) was hilarious (was in my teens when it came out) but then again, his character was banging a teen girl... sooo...

Amazing! Feels like a gift, honestly.
I might have to see it again at an IMAX.
Within the first minute I was emotionally transported back to the 80's, it was a wonderful break from our current 'reality'.
Same here! They absolutely nailed it.
Alright dammit I'll see Maverick on the big screen, was gonna firestick it. Totally goes against my Pedowood/actors boycott so will take a hot shower & exfoliate after.

You won't regret it Fren!
Same, reading more
Isn’t this guy Scientology? Or do I have the wrong satanic Hollywood actor
I believe he is second in command of the Church of Scientology.
It’ll look just as good on my 65inch surround sound TV with a beer and popcorn while sitting in my my recliner. Thanks for the heads up!
Honestly go see it in IMAX if you have a chance. Then watch it again on your 65 inch tv.
It is silly how bad sequels are. Top Gun made it look easy to create a good sequel.
jurassic world did not woke?
Its not awful but its definitely there.
Black female heroine has to save the new gen. Goes out of her way to make sure you know she is a lesbian 3 times. Black mastermind behind the retro guys.

Lol they say “coexist” but they call Christians stupid for believing in a 5,000 year old book……but they never say that about Muslims or Jews
Thank you. I’m very bad at spell check….and my phone is really good at fucking up shay I want to say.

Ugg... I was hoping to see it in IMAX once more.

f tom cruise ... are you serious? promoting hollyweirdo's?
sad but true
I can agree. Good movie. My theater was PACKED full of old men and women with VETERAN hats on. Felt good to be surrounded by so many pro American patriots!
Fuck hollywood.
No thanks. I am not giving Pedowood any of my money.
It's politics free because the entire thing is a literal ad/ propaganda piece for the Department of War
They still need soldiers who aren't all trannies and fags, who can actually do things, and aren't just diversity hires. Despite the communist push to weaken our military in recent years, the military is one place where that very much continues to matter. They virtue signal as a communist method of demoralization.
Scientology fag!
Thanks I'll add that to my resume in a special highlight box.
Sigh.
Not interested in supporting that Scientologist psycho.
Best take in the thread.
It worked for me as entertainment.
We have no idea what country it is they go into. Korea is a possibility, the Balkans, the only clue we have is that it's close to a body of water, the terrain has mountains, and that the country has American made jets ...we have no idea what the geopolitical reason for any of this,

Predictive programming because Iran doesn't have a privately owned central bank

I agree! I was hesitant to support Cruise, but it was a great movie and you need to see it in the theater.

This is how we change their culture. LEVERAGE
No woke, but any comms?
Thanks my brother, I will!
OLD AUSAF SGT ---that is correct the Taiwanese flag is there! way to go Mr. Cruise!
Good to hear, thanks for the post! My BIL and nephew have been all about dude, you gotta see it!! And I'm off on my Wokywood rant in a heartbeat, pedo this, satanist that.

When was the last time you heard negative MSM coverage on Taiwan? What's that? Never in your life?
That's a Clown haven for you.
Loved it, the opening credits part deserved a standing ovation for how well it paid homage to the original.
Wouldn't surprise me if funding was through the Navy. It's really just a big recruiting advert

Can you take young kids around 11 or is it loaded with sex scenes? I don't like taking my kids to movies that throw that in for no reason.
Thank you. My kids are pretty innocent and I would like to keep them that way as long as I can. Thanks.
I can't believe someone downvoted your comment. Strange.
I heard good things about it.
I might have to see it!!!
It was good. My sons also enjoyed it. Agree.
So wasn't Tom hanks
I thoroughly enjoyed it once I was able to suspend my disbelief. It’s pure military industrial complex hype, but it is very entertaining once you turn off your brain. 10/10
The church of Scientology needs a new private jet for the CEO and black site prison for defectors.
Seriously, the movie was amazing and should be seen in the theater.
Saw it twice. And like all of you, I can't stand lazy Hollywood cash grab films, but this is not that. This one is more of a tribute to modern day badass military combat aviation. It was done very well, and is just awesome.
