I was in a Nike store this weekend. I heard a part-time employee say:
Guy: "Man...I'm only here for 25 hours. That barely pays for gas. If gas gets any higher, it wont even be worth it to come in. I'll just quit."
Me: "People gonna flip shit if they can't get to work to pay their bills."
Guy: "Hell yea we are!"
People in the back nod.
I don't travel very far for work, so I never thought how hard inflation is hitting people who travel across town, let alone people who don't get much above minimum wage.
The powder keg leans forward a little further...stock up!
I was mad when I lost my job for not getting vaxxed, best thing that’s ever happened. They want me back now, LOL. Get fucked.
Time to ask for double!
And backwages. And a signing bonus. Rape them.
My first question, if that situation applied, would be to ask how much they were willing to compensate for the time lost and all.
Even though I'm casually job hunting, I'm even avoiding jobs with companies that HAD a vaccine mandate (exception being if the posting is a really exciting prospect but even there rests the expectation that things will flip back) because they've shown what they think of their employees.
Nah, it ended up being the ass kick I needed. Never going back.
That's the other half and understand completely. I would have a difficult time going back to a company that was so easy to toss people to the side.
Every society is just 3 meals away from revolution.

Love that gif.
Many of the people in my area drive 50-75 miles one way to work. I don't know how they're doing it.
I can't believe there is as much traffic in Chicago area as there still is, especially on the highways, which are more like parking lots during rush hour.
Left Chicago this past winter, just couldn’t do it anymore and it seemed to be turning into a powder keg. How are things going there?
Hwy traffic sucks, but otherwise quiet. You can find easy street parking in Lincoln Park and Wicker Park if says anything. Many restaurants and bars didn't survive the shutdowns. It could be a powder keg but the rapper getting shot on Oak St recently didn't phase the usual suspects, neither did reports of a 13 year old getting shot by police, if that was even real. You were smart to get out. I'm looking to do the same at some point, we just haven't decided on a destination.
My husband had a commute of 90 minutes each way, every day. He's been working from home for the past two years, and it's been great. Can't even imagine what that commute would cost now.
Traded in my Ram truck for a Hyundai, that's how I manage my 65 mile commute. I just pretend my fuel efficient Hyundai with a 10 gallon tank is my Ram truck with a 20 gallon tank....I make significantly more than minimum wage, everyone at my place of employment commutes because it is somewhere remote, many are starting to telecommute part-time and I am starting to look for other jobs as an alternative, the higher gas is, the more of a pay cut I can afford for closer employment.
Normies are starting to think. The can't help it. The world has changed so rapidly that the "everything is wonderful" propaganda won't work for much longer.
Every time I begin to think this someone drives by alone in their car with a mask on and I get a little sad. A dude walked up to the outdoor burger stand behind me today wearing one. Every day Insee people walking around the park wearing masks. If I dwell on it I’d get depressed. So I just say a quick prayer and thank Jesus for giving me a love for the truth. Then I ask Him come get us cause I’m so done with this place. Then I carry on my day with something to look forward to.
Man that’s fucked up. Come to Texas!
Very good point. Say that to normies. But in a way that's acceptable to them. One day at a time with the psychological war.
How is this then for a mitigation?
Said to the normies:-
"The credulousness of even those replete with a stultifying, abject stupidity and absolutely no pattern recognition has it's limits, you have found yours"
That is a kinder take.
So does "It's too late now, go and fuck yourself lemming, normie scum" capture the spirit of it?
Edit:- One day at a time loses me my house, faggots can go choke on their kumbaya.
Edit:- Tripling down...... YEAH !! (should I have a cold shower? Well there is no hot water here so I have already had it, downvoters probably don't understand cause they are not at the tip of the spear in all this)
Have you worked once in the last two years? How would you be doing if you had not? Anyway
Once more for effect -- Fuck the normies./
Copy that.
I keep telling people to prepare but they don’t listen. Many people in western countries don’t understand that our civilization economically is built on cheap energy and have never gone through a real crisis. This is why I look forward to the economic shitstorm. Society is soft and people need to toughen up.
Cheap energy and 3rd-world slave labor
We started a war over tea.
There were also the stamp act, the intolerable acts, taxation with no representation, quartering of unruly soldiers in homes, and more.
Yeah tea was the last straw. Public schools have gaslit it into a tea meme.
The schools I'm around still talk about the other components, and I'm in a notoriously "blue state."
I think people in general just like the Boston tea party story, the fact that the tea party movement named itself that shows that patriot lore likes to focus on the stories rather than the actual (and more boring) legislation, order, and decrees the king had set which sparked the Boston Tea Party and the revolution in general.
The Boston Massacre and the patriot's usage of propaganda techniques in how they depicted it (a row of soldiers firing execution style at colonists) and spreading the message via printing press and the likes were also huge components of what caused the revolution.

i was hanging out with some very liberal colleagues, and they were talking about how expensive gas was. one said “thanks biden…” everyone got quiet and nodded.
i was shocked.
Gas prices making travel to work impossible, Gas prices raising the price of everything and putting some truckers out of business, interest rates shutting down real estate and auto industries. All of this adding to a much larger and broader market collapse. Tens of millions more will lose everything they have. There will be no food, no supplies, and millions of people running around with nothing to lose, nothing to look forward to, and no food or money to survive on.
I hope this all does not happen before November and I hope that it is able to be turned around. But at this point. It seems unlikely.
Sadly it all has to implode on Biden's watch. And it's doubtful it will happen prior to November.
A good indicator when we hit the precipice will be when absolutely no cars are seen in any drive-thru restaurant driveway.
Exactly.
I keep hearing there is a change of batter coming, I don't think anyone will step up to replace Biden.... if we know this, they do too. No one's jumping up and saying "I'll do it, I'll be the one at the helm as all the truth comes out".
Jen Pstaki bailed, and who ever was helping her must've left too. That new girl is out there alone, trying to figure out wtf is going on. It's amusing for sure. She can't even handle pre-approved questions from reporters that are on her own team!
I'm praying she wakes up, and that it's at the podium.
They can't leave their position until they have a replacement.... they are trapped.
My husband and and I have 80 miles round trip, we car pool since our schedules and distance (once in town) are pretty similar. We bought a hybrid in 2019 to cut down, we were over 100 miles a day at that point. Our hybrid battery died last week, we are in old reliable.. the dodge charger with a hemi. It costs me between 25-30$ a day for us to go to work.
We aren't rich, we are comfortable....but we are definitely tightening the belt.
Saw a sticker at the pump that said "F*CK Biden." That was a new one for me.
My bring home from my employer is $2000. I commute 30 mile in a car, my husband commutes up to an hour each day depending on where he goes in a newer truck. The downside from living in the country. My gas a month went from roughly $300 a month to now $600. My husband $600 is now $1200. This is 💯 unsustainable.
This is a carefully laid out plan to grant amnesty for illegals. The claim is going to be that we have to legalize them to do the work Americans don't want to do. Of course along with that comes voting rights
The economy is energy…
Traded my F150 in this weekend on a Subaru that gets 30+ mpg on the highway. The Ford was costing me about $25 per day to get to work. The Subaru will cut my fuel costs by more than half. I make a decent salary and could tighten my belt and deal with the current fuel costs. However, if (more likely when) fuel prices continue to rise to say $8 per gallon or more then it would absolutely cripple my budget. $8 per gallon would mean $50+ per day just to get to work in the Ford. Every car lot in my area is full of trucks and suvs. I’ve already seen Ford trucks selling for 10k below market value.
A days wages for a loaf of bread
Need a resolution, soon.
This ia why urban planning in the US is retarded. Why cant we have remotely walkable cities?
we don't need to give up the freedom of our cars. It worked for decades. If you want this walk able city you love so much, stop letting druggies and ghetto monkies run rampant.
Being able to go where and when you need to is freedom.
Being forced to pay for gas as a tax on every tiny activity is servitude.
I agree with your point about druggies and ghetto monkies. To counter my own argument urban environments are taken over by leftist policies and turned into shit holes.
Developers, too. In the Austin area, many older properties were bought out, so that expensive condos and apartment units could be stood up. The price per square foot there is insane!
In addition to that, the whole Travis County way of doing business has spread out to surrounding counties, making the cost of living even higher.
Pretty smart observation for a retard monkey
i'm retarded, so i call it as i see it.
Because of bail reform.
Amen! Your response was based as fuck! 😎
Lol so this weekend stopped at our local pizza joint waiting on a pizza. A little old lady I would say late 70’s comes in and starts talking to the owner about prices and he says everything is going up the supply chain blah blah. The little lady says this is Joe Bidens fault he put us here, he sucks and needs to be out of there. I said yes you are right this administration is terrible. She said yeah we dont want her in there either if they take him out shes even worse. I said yeah they all need to go. Kek!!! 👵🏻
A kid I went to high school with works at Nike now. He used to drink his own piss.
How do you know he stopped?
I should ask him...
My weekly gas is $200 now
Yep, seeing it in my area. Workers being offered large bonuses for jobs where you have to be out on a site miles from town and still no takers... They also axed employees for the vax.
