This is why it's unwise to piss off peaceful (self-controlled) people, because at some point there will be a limit and it will be exceeded unawares and the response will be extreme.
In case you think "this can't happen in Japan" let me remind you of the very violent history of Japanese politics. 1960: assassination of Inejirō Asanuma, 1932 The League of Blood Incident, 1932 May15 Incident, 1932 Assassination of Dan Takuma, 1921 Assassination of Hara Takashi, 1901 Assassination of Hoshi Tōru, 1931 Assassination of Junnosuke Inoue, 2002 Assassination of Kōki Ishii, 2007 Assassination of Iccho Itoh.
But the weapon used this time was unbelievably crude: a couple of steel pipes and a piece of wood held together with duct tape.
The Yakuza lol, the cops mostly don't carry weapons except SWAT equivalent units. The yakuza however, have guns and are very very closely monitored by police units. I bet it's a foreign crime rings involvement or a DS hit, or even both lol.
Abe is affiliated with the openly ultranationalist organization Nippon Kaigi (Japan Conference). He is considered a right-wing populist and ultra-conservative within the LDP, and some media and books have referred to him as a far-right politician.
His aggressive nationalist policies as prime minister were criticized by opposing forces as "reactionary" or "fascist", and he was evaluated by Steve Bannon as "Prime Minister Abe is a great hero to the grassroots, the populist, and the nationalist movement throughout the world". According to Professor Dominique Tasevski, his legacy can be specified due to nationalism, historical revisionism, and a deterioration in Japan-South Korea relations.
From his Wikipedia article. The globalists dislike him for being pro-Japan. He also was based and ordered/posed with a bunch of Taiwanese pineapple like Pompeo after China banned it.
Sounds like a good guy, but also worked with Bush Jr…Could go either way
I don't know a whole lot about the guy other than some years ago I remember when a bunch of left-wing Japanese were calling him a fascist for trying to create a national military beyond their basic security forces.
Edit: watching a live feed on YT rn and a bunch of the commenters are celebrating it, saying he got what he deserved... others are already blaming China (on no evidence apparently).
“Abe became prime minister of Japan in 2012 and served until 2020, finishing out as the longest-serving prime minister in Japanese history. He cited poor health as a reason for his resignation. He had assumed office at a time when Japan's economy had been mired by low growth and strong disinflationary headwinds.
To counter this, Abe championed a number of economic reforms such as monetary easing, heightened fiscal stimulus, and other reforms that have become known as Abenomics.
A vocal critic of China, Abe sought to strengthen ties with the United States and the West. He was regarded as a pioneer of the "free and open Indo-Pacific" concept that has since been integrated into the framework for the U.S. strategy for the region. The concept called for stronger coordination between countries with similar interests in the region. The goal was to appeal to smaller nations in the region that had been reluctant to choose a side in the rivalry between the U.S. and China.
Additionally, Abe was known for his efforts to bolster Japan's defense capabilities.”
From Twitter, "Eyewitnesses say the shooter was within 3 meters of Abe. The weapon was not a pistol, but a gun with a long barrel. The shots produced visible smoke from the gun barrel."
A quick search tells me that guns are outlawed in Japan. So how can a person get "3 meters" away from the former MP with a shotgun?...
UPDATE! Nara, Japan: TV footage & ground photos of the Shinzo Abe assassination.
2 shots are presumed to have been fired from a distance of just 9 feet. Witness tells NHK that Shinzo Abe was shot twice, the first caused him to fall backwards, the second shot, he fell to the ground. After shooting, the attacker didn't flee, he simply stood there.
Shooter identified as Tetsuya Yamagami, 41, according to Nara police.
Wow. I don’t have a good feeling about this… Did this guy know something important? Are the globalists trying to start WW3? Whatever happened here my gut tells me the shooter was not acting alone.
I don't see any verification of that yet. Just doing a simple online search, results up to about twenty minutes ago. Not saying it's not true. Just not getting sauce as yet.
He was an ally of Trump. You didn't hear about the koi pond incident when President Trump threw all of the fish food in at once because Abe did? The media in the US was scandalized.
Shot in the back during a public speech, elections happening on Sunday, if the shooter turns out to be non-Japanese this is going to get mega ugly.
DS retaliating?
This is why it's unwise to piss off peaceful (self-controlled) people, because at some point there will be a limit and it will be exceeded unawares and the response will be extreme.
Shinzo Abe, the former prime minister of Japan, was shot while delivering a campaign speech:

News this morning is reporting that it was a homemade gun.
According to the pictures it looks like the shooter was Japanese. At the very least he's Asian.
Guns very rare in Japan though. Entirely different culture and entirely different laws.
That this could even happen is extremely unlikely.
Did someone call the FBI and ask if they knew of the shooter?
It was a home made gun...
See primary and final question.
I got that, was just sharing the info on the gun.
Japan is islands.
Lots of coastline to get a gun in.
What other people that we know did that.................
Oh, he ‘looks Asian’….you racist bastard.
Commenting on a person's apparent race is not racist. There was no derogatory reference regarding his appearance.
Sorry that it didn’t come across as such, but I was joking with you.
Frank’s Ferdinand
I expect a “Russia Russia Russia” narrative to instigate WWIII to save the DS.
I thought guns are illegal there?
They are. And very very hard for even criminals to get.
I'm wondering if it's organized crime, they're pretty much the only ones who can get guns, other than cops.
The Yakuza lol, the cops mostly don't carry weapons except SWAT equivalent units. The yakuza however, have guns and are very very closely monitored by police units. I bet it's a foreign crime rings involvement or a DS hit, or even both lol.
Prohibition and crime usually go together.
What does Yakuza traffick in?
The Yakuza can traffic many substances, drugs, guns, people, and probably a lot more. Edit: several Yakuza groups traffic tons of meth.
Crime is by definition dealing with the prohibited.
honestly the Yakuza run japan and the official government is very much a formality for the rest of the world.
Russia Russia Russia

Homemade shotgun
Is he good guy or bad guy? Dunno much about him.

He is also Anti China hum? From the Washington Examiner https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/former-japanese-prime-minister-shinzo-abe-shot

Anyone that is pro-nationalist is going to be viewed as opposing their goals.
Given Abe's relationship with the real POTUS, I'm inclined to believe that he was indeed one of the good ones.
I believe so.
Yes...a tragic loss and wondering if DS took him out because he's a successful populist like POTUS.
They only try to kill the good guys. Bad guys still sit around eating ice cream.
And falling off bikes whilst simultaneously shitting his trousers.
me neither

Any chance that this event is just theater?
Always a chance.

I thought this guy wasn't too bad.
Wow. I don’t have a good feeling about this… Did this guy know something important? Are the globalists trying to start WW3? Whatever happened here my gut tells me the shooter was not acting alone.
Holy freaking shit indeed
Running out of popcorn fast over here.
Things are heating up and we aren’t even in August yet.
Local station MBS is reporting that Abe is in a state of cardiopulmonary arrest, ie he does not have life signs. Not confirmed at this time.

There are new posts that he died.
I don't see any verification of that yet. Just doing a simple online search, results up to about twenty minutes ago. Not saying it's not true. Just not getting sauce as yet.
Sorry, went to bed. Here's one, but it's MSM.

The shot heard around world as this sends shockwaves on the geopolitical world stage.
One day, it wont be safe for them to walk down the streets….
Abe was a strong ally of the real POTUS.
What’s the scoop on this guy? Was he good? Bad?
Appeared to be an ally of President Trump's. They had a very good relationship.
Wow, the plot thickens.
Many have told themselves that they are ready to kill for that reason alone.
He was the only politician in Japan not owned by China.

WTF
gun control speech
I heard he wasn't fully on board with the Russiabad narrative. I'll have to recheck on that though.
First I've heard of him

Same here
The shooter was arrested: Tetsuya Yamagami - on the Wikipedia page for the shooting. There is a researcher and professor in Japan also by that name:
https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Tetsuya-Yamagami
Why wasn’t this one stickied, you literally broke the news before anyone else.
They took it down and made a megathread https://greatawakening.win/p/15IYCm4gB3/mega-thread-shinzo-abe-assassina/
‘They won’t be able to walk down the street!’
KEK
Confirmed has died
Abe is dead...shooter turns out to be a veteran who was apparently disgruntled. NY POST article i think
Franz Ferdinand's assassination kicked off WWI.
Who bow to you!
A sacred city.
Not entirely true... he was still an important figure within his party and even considered a puppet-master by his detractors.
So if someone assassinated Trump, you would think that it means nothing?
Incredibly ignorant statement.
