I spent time in Saudi when I was younger. Traditional muslims tend to be very respectful of others' religious traditions, if they are believers.
They have no time for people who claim to belong to a religion and believe in God yet do not act according to their scriptures.
Western muslims are totally corrupt in comparison, just like most so called Christians and Jews.
That doesn't mean I agree with everything in the Qoran, but I've read some of it at least. Didn't strike me as a hateful religion - that's on men.
Gang rape and sex trafficking of young women and children is currently taking place at an unprecedented rate in the uk and Europe. The common denominator in that equation in those areas is the flood of Islamic men. They literally created no go zones all over Europe because of the violence and rape towards anyone not Muslim within these free housing migrant communities in Europe.
Sharia law and how to address its imposition over those areas they conquer within foreign lands is another problem and debate that should be addressed as well when contemplating islams compatibility with other cultures.

If the constitution doesn’t supersede their cultural norms and imposed laws then allowing them to take over neighborhoods may not be in our best interest.
Does a moslem denounce Muhammad or just say I only believe in some of what he did? For a culture that will kill you if you leave, telling outsiders the latter may be, in their view, their best option.
The point I think is the religious part of it. Yes their religion is wrong, but the people who are drawn to “be religious” are of kinship. These are usually thoughtful, caring people. Problem with Islam is they are often controlled by violent leaders. Not dissimilar to Christian’s in America who go to other countries due to lies and then slaughter people
I agree with you on the point being most humans believe in respect, human decency and compassion and are just being manipulated, but the foundations between Christianity and Islam must be clarified because the difference is everything.

Some key content in the Quran.
When the Quran speaks of treating others well, it only applies to other Muslims. Non-Muslims (Jews, Christians) have no rights and can be treated any way you please. It is not a crime to rape, murder, or enslave a non-Muslim.
The Quran was revealed to Mohammed in a series of visions from the angel Jibril (Gabriel). Galatians 1:8-9 warns against any scripture revealed after Christ, the final revelation, with these words "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!"
Even though it is claimed to be the "perfect and unchanging word of Allah", the Quran has many internal contradictions. This is resolved by the concept of abrogation (Naskh), in which anything Allah revealed later supersedes anything written earlier. How the "perfect and unchanging word of Allah" can be inconsistent with itself is a mystery to me.
The Quran is not written in chronological order. It is organized by length of verse. Islamic scholars have produced Quran's sorted by chronological order.
The final revealed truth in the Quran is the "verse of the sword" (Q9.5) which counsels Muslims on how to treat Christians and Jews. It reads "So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful." According to Muslim scholars, the Sword verse abrogates over a hundred pacifist verses that call for peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance with non-Muslims. This verse instructs to kill non-Muslims unless they convert to Islam, or agree to live as subjects and pay the jizya (tax assessed to dhimmis, non-Muslims living under Muslim rule). Generally dhimmis are treated as an underclass. They have few if any legal rights, and are prohibited from most jobs or business ownership opportunities, rendering them unable to pay the tax, at which point they either convert to Islam, are required to leave the country, or are killed.
You should try reading all of it, and with the context that they consider this the literal word handed directly to them from their god. And if that is not clear enough, throw in the haddith and the sunnah. Its full of hate and calls to violence.
That said, I'd work under a mutual truce to team up against liberalism.
Remember: The Quran is written in Arabic, though most extremist actors are only capable of reading Farsi (if that). While the Quran has been translated into Western languages the clerics (for a catch all term) limit the availability of translations in some countries... Why? Because much like churchmen of the middle ages, they understand that reading the gospel/words of the prophet provide power over those who cannot read and interpret for themselves.

In the Bible, the word "Faith" simply means "Trust." And it's not a "blind" trust (like Atheists usually try to retort), it's a Trust in light of the evidence, not in spite of the evidence.
