Dear Father, We pray that you help our friend purkiss and everyone in his country who are suffering the fate from this evilness that has taken over our world. We ask you in the name of our Savior Jesus to please give them the electricity they need, the clean drinking water, food for the nourishment of their bodies and protection from your guidance. Heal them from this cholera and all sickness brought upon them. Bless them Lord as they have suffered greatly. May your blessings of hope and mercy be given them at this time as we thank you for all things you give us. Amen.

We did 13 days without electricity. Absolutely sucks. Temp went down to 5f. A strange ice storm created about 1 1/2 inches of ice on everything. The weight of the ice took down power lines. Couldn’t go anywhere because there was 1-1/2 inches of ice on the road. We filled the bathtub and a bunch of containers beforehand because we are on wellwater and things can freeze. Luckily we have a fireplace and a gas starter and LOTS of wood because every tree on the property lost limbs off the north (rain facing) side. I have a chainsaw and keep gasoline for it. Neighbors Chipped ice from the pool and got water for their animals. Our main problem was that here in Texas this never happens and nobody is prepared for it.

The difference is that we knew help was on the way to get the electricity back on. Your situation is near hopeless with the “help” being the ones causing the issue. Thank God for the white hats. NCSWIC (I wish something would speed it up though)

I also wish you could easily take a vacation for a couple of weeks to a sunny destination.

I spent 11 Days without power last winter in my neck of the Earth, fren. Ran out of gas, then wood. Prepare.

We were warned, and rewarned ad nauseam to prepare.

Footprints in the Sand...

One night I dreamed a dream.

As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.

Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.

For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,

One belonging to me and one to my Lord.

After the last scene of my life flashed before me,

I looked back at the footprints in the sand.

I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,

especially at the very lowest and saddest times,

there was only one set of footprints.

This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.

"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way.

But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,

there was only one set of footprints.

I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."

Hi Purkiss, in which area do you live? I'm planning on visiting family in Cape Town and Pretoria in August.

Buy 2 5 gallon buckets, burn wood until it is charcoal, get sand. River rock, and larger size paving stone rocks, hang one bucket filled in this order: charcoal sand, pebbles rocks. Above the other and put water theough it until it runs clear. You now have safe(r) drinking water
