Prozac was the first SSRI on the market. I'd be curious to see some data on patients who were prescribed these vs suicidal ideation/behavior, homicidal ideation behavior, other forms of violent crime. I know there's a lot that has been made about school shooters, but I'm not sure this explains violence because overall, violent crime volume per capita is down since the cocaine epidemic of the 80s.

  • fluoxetine (Prozac) - 1987
  • sertraline (Zoloft) - 1991
  • paroxetine (Paxil) - 1992
  • fluvoxamine (Luvox) - 1994
  • citalopram (Celexa) - 1998
  • escitalopram (Lexapro) - 2002

Putting it lightly.

I think pointing the finger at one thing or another isn't productive, because there are a lot of reasons this is the case, from massively increased stress to racial/sexual/political/even hobby related tensions, to the constant mind breaking propaganda deliberately set loose on the population, to -- yes -- over medication of SSRIs.

We are at a point where we cannot point out crime and bring criminals to account, racial tensions and tensions between the sexes are at a high point, everyone is convinced they're right, no one is humble enough to admit they're wrong, their shortcomings, or at fault for anything.

We are perpetually propagandized to hate each other and every institution backs it.

We have black youths essentially told to give up and live on perpetual welfare and crime because they'll never have a chance and it's white people's fault, and it's creating a generation of criminals -- not just black -- that hate each other and hate everyone else.

Humans were not meant to endure this many attacks; being plugged into the internet or TV or near your phone does nothing but create a negative information addiction which leads you to places that do nothing but attack their fellow man.

It all creates mental illness and justification for attacking people you don't like, it is awful. There are so many other attacks on the collective human psyche every day beyond what I even mentioned.

It's clear that SSRIs have an effect, and possibly amplified the effects of other problems. But we can't just fix one problem and hope the rest falls into place, there are too many holes in this boat to not break out some Flex Seal and paddle to shore before it gives out. We have to be prepared to tackle it all at once.

My daughter takes her baby to a doctor that doesn't force vaccines. (She and another doctor left the practice and started new one. They don't take insurance. You pay X amt per year) On the last visit she told my daughter not to give Tylenol. She advised Genexa (Genexa Kids' Pain & Fever is a conventional over-the-counter drug made with the same effective active ingredient, acetaminophen, but without artificial fillers.) Dr said Motrin was ok. I personally don't understand why Motrin is ok, it's made by pharma also. I've switched to Genexa when herbs don't do the job and it works better for me.

Your welcome. I found it at Walmart. Not sure why, Target took it off their shelves. (Don't shop Target was doing price check online) It's cheaper at Amazon. Genexa has several different types medicine. I got my husband the arnica to see if it helps him. It did so I'll find him a capsule that's herb extract. I like their sleep product.

Tylenol is recommended after childhood vaccines if your baby is “fussy”. Well, shutting off the organ that removes toxins from the body right after injecting a bunch doesn’t sound like a good idea…

Is it Acetaminophen that damages liver or the bad ingredients in Tylenol? I can research if you aren't sure. I'm familiar with willow bark. I'll look for an extract (tincture). I drink herbal tea, tinctures seem to help me more. Thanks for the information.

– moodyblue 1 point 3 years ago +1 / -0

I have never taken Motrin. Tylenol works better for me and now trying Genexa. But if acetaminophen has such bad side affects Genexa isn't a great substitute. Genexa has acetaminophen but with out the other bad ingredients. Bottom line we can't win with anything that originated from big pharma. I've ordered a multiple mushroom tincture and hoping that helps with inflammation. Some mushrooms relieve arthritis. That's the majority of my issues.

if you take to much it can shut down your liver or kidneys... I know a few ultra marathoners who were taking 1-2 every hour and wound up in the hospital.... Motrin (prescription ibuprofin) comes in 800mg horse pills but with less buffers than are in advil. You supposedly need the 800 mg for a good anti inflammatory effect. at least that is what I was told when it was prescribed to me. but 1600mg/ day was supposed to be the limit. so the marathoners were somewhere over 2400 mg when they had problems.

Doctor told me to take the max when fever wouldn't let go. 3 at a time without enough food in your stomach and a reaction seems to start that spirals out of control. Intense, burning pain, that eventually leads to hospitalization. During the Covid scare, that was not fucking fun.

Re: Ibuprofen (generic Advil) emotionless/senile:

This is a thread worth grabbing and studying, but it there's not a lot of proof that it does this.

I try to keep all medications to a minimum personally, so I would always recommend the same to others, but I would caution against panicking about that one.

If people panic too loudly about it, Pfizer will fund as many studies as needed to preempt any legitimate findings.

DJT as POTUS, RFK Jr as VP. The DNC will screw RFK worse than they screwed Bernie, Trump will then take him as his running mate.

What would be insane is if, after announcing RFK as his VP, Trump renounces the Republican label altogether, and declares Trump/Kennedy to be the "America First" ticket. If you wanted to nuke the two party illusion forever, that would be a way to do it. From there, you could also refuse to refer to your opponents as the "Democrat" ticket, and instead refer to them only as the "Uniparty", "Swamp", "Globalists", etc.

Recently a 12 year old girl stabbed her 9 year old brother to death. She was given ADHD meds from the age of 7. They don’t cause people to kill.” —- She was 7 when they started her on them! SEVEN!

Serotonin is not what takes away depression. That would be dopamine. Depression is too large a catch phrase. The mitigating factors may be found in a persons personal body chemistry, but then again, who has not been affected by the foods and chemicals that are in almost anything processed, the highs and lows chemical boomerang of sugar, the perverted sugar called high fructose corn syrup, the subliminal messages which are broadcast without our knowledge, chemicals in all modern furniture, carpeting, clothing, the brain being constantly manipulated, even what I am doing now, as opposed to 20 years ago before I had a computer and screen. We are all corrupted by an environment that did not exist for the thousands of years that man lived on earth. Our microbiome in the gut, a fine tuned miracle of creation, destroyed in modern life, through sugar, stress, too much gluten, alcohol, antibiotics. Dopamine works to alleviate dark and low feelings, unfortunately, man being what he is, seeks the quick source of addictive substances to trigger dopamine release. From a hit of nicotine to the "drop" of prize gear in a video game, and then on to the drink at a party, the snort of cocaine, we keep upping the need for more dopamine. My doctor refuses to subscribe ssri's, she believes it does nothing but cause problems for the brain after awhile, and that it just does not work. Her suggestion is to make a "dopamine map", of what makes you feel good (not addictive stuff). It is usually simple, sunlight, a warm bath, brushing your hair, holding a puppy, going to a flower show, music that is not head banging metal, protein, sensory input that feels good. Taking time in the day for a "dopamine bath" of all things that make you feel good. Peter Kramer wrote a book called "Listneing to Prozac" in the late eighties I believe. In it he writes about the search pharm did to find an effective antidepressant. One of the things that struck me, he wrote that Morphine is the perfect antidepressant, for what it does for the brain. Unfortunately it is addictive and it feels so good, people of course take more and more, so it is not an option. Our body chemistry swings in a pattern of mania and depression, carbohydrates begin the ping pong game. I am not sure if there is anyway out of this. You cannot make people change, practice meditation, or seek the spiritual "highs" of a relationship with God. We call the New Testament the "Good News". In my opinion, if we made that the first News we read in the morning, if we started our day with light and a healthy meal, if we learned to block toxic and negative thought, if we took time to do more service toward God and his creation, (even tending houseplants, as a start) If we took some form of exercise suitable to our abilities, we have the cure in our own hands. We are not meant to be zombies, crying at a funeral is normal, grief is normal, we are not supposed to be "having fun" all day long, every single day. Shit happens, but a strong foundation will not allow the slings and arrows of everyday life to destroy our lives. Don't be ashamed if you have ever taken these meds, it is not your fault. But please, do not stop any "medicine" that you have been taking for a long time suddenly, learn how to detox and get off these mood altering substances slowly. Think of it like a sudden change in direction at an unsafe speed, like jerking the steering wheel suddenly. Don't do that to your poor hijacked brain. There is info on line about how to get off of meds.

So, I decided to drop 30 min or so doing a quick literature search on PubMed. Keywords: SSRIs + violence. Like, I said, quick and dirty. Annotated bibliography below of three relevant studies.

Molero Y, Lichtenstein P, Zetterqvist J, Gumpert CH, Fazel S. Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors and Violent Crime: A Cohort Study. PLoS Med. 2015;12(9):e1001875. https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pmed.1001875

A retrospective study of 850K Swedes prescribed SSRIs between 2006-09 showed correlation with violent crimes in patients from 15-24y, but not in those older than 25. More arrests and more convictions for violent crimes. True in males and females. More non-violent arrests and convictions. Higher rates of outpatient treatment and ER visits for alcohol abuse.

Hemminki E, Merikukka M, Gissler M, et al. Antidepressant use and violent crimes among young people: a longitudinal examination of the Finnish 1987 birth cohort. J Epidemiol Community Health. 2017;71(1):12-18. https://doi.org/10.1136/jech-2016-207265

A retrospective study of a Finnish cohort of individuals born in 1987 and followed for 18 years showed higher rates of SSRI use among those convicted of crimes as teenagers.

Moore TJ, Glenmullen J, Furberg CD. Prescription Drugs Associated with Reports of Violence Towards Others. PLoS One. 2010;5(12):e15337. https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0015337

Of 1527 cases of violence reported as adverse drug effects to the FDA, associations were identified between violence and 31 drugs. Varenicline (Chantix) was highest. The SSRIs and several SNRIs (venlafaxine, desvenlafaxine, atomoxetine) all showed disproportionately high rates of ADEs of violent behavior.

Key thoughts:

  • These are all retrospectives, meaning they cannot prove causality, only demonstrate correlation. Don't overinterpret.
  • While the hazard ratios on all of these ended up being somewhere between 1-100% increased risk of violent behavior, the absolute risk increase was small, usually less than 3%. We're talking about a very small percentage of the overall number of people taking these drugs.
  • None of these studies directly address gun violence or school shootings, which is what we're trying to assess. There may be such a study, but in my 30 min search, I didn't find it.

Conclusion:

  • There may be something here. It's smaller than we think, more specific than we think. And we'd need much better evidence to say it conclusively. However, we're looking at some significant smoke, and where there's smoke, there's usually a fire. That's my thinking. It's worth what you paid for it. You should, of course, do your own thinking.

Civil Discussion ONLY**

They want you divided.

They want you labeled by race, religion, class, sex, etc.

Divided you are weak [no collective power].

Divided you attack each other and miss the true target [them].

No PAYtriots/No Self Promotion

Linking or promoting merchandise, fundraising, or spamming personal websites, blogs, or channels is not permitted. Do not attempt to profit from Q or advertise for those who do. Peace is the prize. We do it for free.

Questions and Concerns

All moderation questions and concerns should be submitted via modmail. DO NOT GRIEF the mods.

Expand your thinking

Remember, this .WIN is the public face of the Great Awakening, and, as a member here, you agree to represent the Great Awakening movement against Globalism, Communism and Progressive Insanity in the best, most positive way possible. NOTE: Your comments and posts may become news. Keep it classy!

This is not a 'fringe conspiracy' site: Visit https://conspiracies.win if that's your thing!

No doomers or shills

If you can't use common sense, you'll get banned without hesitation. If you're a shill, you fall under this rule. If you're a doomer, you fall under this rule as you just add garbage to the site like the other two. This includes forum sliding.

  • Memes encouraged, but no low-quality, low-info posts.

  • Keep it honest and accurate.

  • GAW Supporters ONLY. (Sorry, the train had no brakes.)
