We need to build such groups locally when/if this happens here because they are proving it works. WE THE PEOPLE need to realize that WE have the power.
I'm a cash guy, myself...cash makes change, chamge adds up, and Stinkee gets a new guitar pedal every few months, and the Wife never knows...my motivations are selfish, but c'est la vie...
See, I do a ton of online shopping and only ever use cash when I'm going to the scrapyard for parts (as it makes it way easier to haggle, especially if you're buying a bunch of things). I'd buy those parts online too, but it'd cost about 2-3x as much.
I was once at a store in the mall. They rang me up and then said they wouldn't take cash. I pointed at the bill "says here this is legal tender for ALL debts" the bill was like 19.50, I slapped down a 20 and said "keep the change" and walked out with my stuff.
I was not subjected to this type of thing during that phase. Did they not have signs on entrance doors stating electronic payment methods only? (or no cash accepted) If they did, and a person only had cash, wouldn't this be theft with some sort of consequence? Just a curiosity, not condemning or condoning. I get the sentiment.
I mean they could probably call the cops and call it theft. but no restaurant host is going to do that the first someone doesn't adhere to a brand new payment policy. not when theyve been accepting cash for years
I limit my purchases per day and to a daily limit. I often skirt around most things at work. Regretfully, the type of work I do on the daily prevents me from having a consistent lunch prepped (because I travel all over the state). Most times I get it it's bare minimum to keep me going to eat at home.
One of the many reasons I started my sauce business.
Kek, hey, it may be my saving grace for my family. It's too small to be immediately affected by the economy, and it's backed by some silver stacks when we turn this hog back around.
If that is true then how is it they can force us to accept it while seizing all gold in the country. There should have been a revolution in 1913. Was it 1913? I think so...
I flew International a couple times in 2020 and to get your boarding pass you first had to fill out a Covid questionnaire electronically on your phone.
Both trips I said I didn’t have a phone, so they gave me a printout version to fill out, and said I could turn it in to the flight crew while boarding. Needless to say I never filled them out.
We also never did the phone QR code menu thing either, and always requested “a normal person’s menu” (that’s what I referred to it as, to the servers).
Anyone here works out at Planet Fitness? Several months ago, they were doing a BIG push for everyone to check in with their cell phone. All the people at the counter would not check you in unless you scan your smart phone. We told them we do not have a smart phone so they grudgingly checked us in. Guess what, no one mentioned it again now.
Ability to organize is one factor taken into consideration when these fucks screw us. I took an entire course on how the ability for organization from those against whatever is being implemented is considered.
Wait till the bank starts removing cash from public use. That will be the tactic they use. It's been done before. Deflation of the money supply, same way the manipulate everything else. Gold, silver and barter material.
This makes no sense at all. All French businesses are required by law to accept cash payment.
Not only that, but it actually saves the business money when people pay in cash, because they don't have to pay a percentage of the transaction cost to the credit card companies. This is the reason places like gas stations will give you a cheaper price if you pay cash.
This is just silly crap, trying to make people get their dander up, imagining that businesses want to ban cash. When businesses would love to see more people pay with cash. Don't be so gullible.
We need to build such groups locally when/if this happens here because they are proving it works. WE THE PEOPLE need to realize that WE have the power.
Prepare for the after times; establish barter equivalents
So everytime I want to go out for dinner somewhere I need to check in at some flash mob website of cash only patrons…?
Lol sure that's how it works lol
The French are good at a few things, one of them being resistance and another being civil disobedience.
Bon pour eux!
Vive la resistance!
Yes and all the whole very politely. Amazingly polite.

in most countries it is a crime to refuse cash as payment for anything, even if it's in 1 cent coins.
The whole "legal tender" phrase should be enough, right?
We have legal tender laws here also. But someone has to…. Enforce these laws.
Yep.

If this is true, good for the French.
Most likely not, just a fun fanciful story to meme online.
Wish it were true. But just a meme
Be ungovernable!
do not comply!
this was a great way to get free food during covid. order whatever you want... oh, what, no cash? gee i'm really sorry burp
I find that food tastes horrible when I've compromised my morals to get it.
what was compromised? did you read the post you are commenting on?
i guess refusing to support cashless businesses is only okay when you do it?

bet you're fun at parties
I can be a real hoot if there's enough booze and like minded degenerates kek
I was asking a genuine question. I was never in that scenario.
I mean they could probably call the cops and call it theft. but no restaurant host is going to do that the first someone doesn't adhere to a brand new payment policy. not when theyve been accepting cash for years
It's simple, do not comply.
I know a couple Subways instating a pre-pay for their orders now.
Likely a counter tactic.
Subway is pretty fake food though, be careful what you get there.
I hear ya, but many options are gone due to our state's lockdown BS emptying out any real choice.
I don't go all that often, but enough to notice their new tactics.
Tbh fast food shouldn’t be an option at all. You gotta plan around that garbage

Don't get lost in the sauce

Sounds cool, good luck in your ventur e!
In the US there are legal tender laws meaning they have to take cash by law.
"This note is legal tender for all debts public and private"
--
I wish that was true, but it's not. There is no legal requirement for any business to accept cash. https://www.federalreserve.gov/faqs/currency_12772.htm
If that is true then how is it they can force us to accept it while seizing all gold in the country. There should have been a revolution in 1913. Was it 1913? I think so...
Costco won’t take cash for gas
Wu Tang Financial
I want to go to France now!
Bravo! This is how you do it.

"nobody taking phones"

Become cash-pilled, cash-pill friends and families, fight against CBDC and cashless society!
En coullez vous, connard.
Gas have to pay cash first then fill though
✔️pay✔️in✔️cash✔️everywhere

Yesssss!
I have wanted to do this to a Chipotle.
Wait till the bank starts removing cash from public use. That will be the tactic they use. It's been done before. Deflation of the money supply, same way the manipulate everything else. Gold, silver and barter material.
Sure they did. Weak sauce
