Article makes it seem innocent for the most part. They were only working on the tunnels for the past year trying to get into the synagogue when they were locked out due to COVID. But also trying to expand it because they didn't have room for everyone, and leaders were dragging their feet. Which is it?
Okay. So why is there a nice floor in the tunnels that looks like it has been there longer than "almost a year"? This story doesn't make sense.

I believe these tunnels exist in all major cities. There are so many urban legends of people/kids disappearing in places like malls, pubs, museums etc. I am sure a lot of these originated because of these.
