So, Texas has secured their border, prevented Federal agents from returning to their posts, and defied every ruling and demand relating to it. At the same time, half of the states in America have voiced their support for Texas, with many sending NG and/or resources.
Meanwhile, Biden is backed into a corner on this. Either he orders the military (whether or not he controls it is beside the question) to recapture Shelby Park by force, thereby triggering a civil war and certain defeat by the angry majority, or he backs down, looking weak to every single democrat and bombing any chances of nomination.
Meanwhile, Abbott isn't even in America. He is in India, and while I haven't figured out exactly why he is over there, I think that right now it's safe to say he is talking about a potential Second Republic of Texas and trade deals with India.
Because the situation is deteriorating rapidly. Deadlines have been called and passed without consequence by both sides. Tensions are not going to simmer down since this is the hill Biden and the Marxist libtards will die on; unlimited illegal immigration.
This is the biggest self-checkmate ever by Biden. He allowed the border crisis to start, then panicked and did all the wrong things when Texas secured the border. There is no easy way out of this for Sleepy Joe. He got all turned around and lost his queen on the 5th move of the game.

Governors have sovereign authority (each state is its own sovereign entity) higher than the US President and may negotiate trade deals exclusively for their states independently of the US Congress and US President (per Federal, not National structure). There is some delegation of authority from the states to the Federal Gov't, but it is only for the explicitly defined 19 enumerated powers as listed. "Delegation creep" has happened over the years as the Federal Gov't has tried to control the states, but this is ALL unconstitutional and in direct violation of Article 4, Section 4 of the Constitution for the united states of America (CfusA, 1788).
The fact that Texas has its own Constitutional authority to secede and revert to a Republic (per terms of its entry into the Union, 1845), do indeed make the whole Texas story and secession nonbinding vote which is on the 2024 ballot very interesting.
Actually, all states have the right to leave the compact if the other party violates it. That's what a contract is. This shouldn't be necessary because the states are sovereign and they're beginning to understand that.

I believe the Confederate States secession (except Texas) was intentionally done illegally (with Crown-controlled SC agents) in order to foment Civil War. It was intentional, not accidental. Theoretically, all Confederate states could have legally and properly terminated the contract, not engaged in any military action against the Union, and gone on their merry way. But this is not what the Crown wanted. The Crown was using divide and conquer strategy and they needed WAR, so they did everything possible to gin it up.
The most interesting aspect of the Civil War is that when the 11 states seceded, the original Amendment XIII TONA was automatically re-ratified as the percent of states remaining that had ratified it went over 75%, making it verifiably effective after 40 years of attempts to hide that it was fully re-ratified on January 30th, 1824 and incorporated into "Military Laws of the United States" in 1825. Amendment XIII TONA automatically strips citizenship if one takes any "emolument" from a foreign power. Applied today this strips all DC people, and all Corp State officials down to the city level of their REPUBLIC citizenship, automatically.

Not to be argumentative but I highly doubt that the courts really have any say in this and SCOTUS has proven many times that they aren't all that interested in giving constitutional OPINIONS. One of the most neglected and authoritative sources of what the Constitution actually says & means is the Ratification Debates. The founders preserved all discussions WHILE the Constitution was being written. Is it really any wonder that those Debates have been ignored? G.R. Mobley is quite an authority on those Debates.

If a small battle does happen between the National Guard and US Military (like the 15 min clip) and I were the DS I would use some of the current assets in the US to escalate the situation. Maybe have DS soldiers kill a few Democrat politicians and National Guard memebers here and few Republican politicians and National Guard members there and frame them as retaliatory strikes from each other. From then on you just simply use the MSM to escalate little by little and keep using the DS soldiers as terror units fanning the flames of civil conflict until an organic civil war starts (like in Leave the World Behind). The DS would also have to sow confusion into the ranks of the US Military. US Military personnel killing each other due to not following orders? DS wet dream. By then it's too late for the WH's to play the Trump card to stop the civil war. If the military comes into play by then, there will be total confusion. The only way I can see the DS winning is by using the cover of the fog of war to have the US kill itself. I believe General Flynn did say that this will come down to the wire. This is where "Do you trust the chain of command" comes into play.
Now with that said, I don't forsee a small arms exchange between our National Guard and US Military. Also, I can't see regular people going along with the civil war because of what I see in the primaries. The vast majority of people are behind Trump. The people are awake now to the DS's BS. Maybe the DS can convince a few radical left-wingers but they were part of the 4-6% lost forever anyways. What I do expect though is for the DS to eventually use this scenario (if it does happen) as a catalyst to start terror operations inside the US (fan the flames of civil war).
The DS will also have better luck if they use their current Governor assets. It would be interesting to see Democrat Governors send their National Guard to HELP the US Military. States taking sides against each other (spicy!). It's not like those Governors can be voted out anyways...

I can’t figure out why so many people throw around the term “Civil War” when nothing about this situation would equate to a Civil War. This would be Texas (and supporting states) defending ourselves against a corrupt government that’s not adhering to the Constitution or abiding by its obligations to defend our citizens from a full-on invasion at our border.
