I just read today about a plan to hold an early "video conference convention" to nominate Kabala before the D's official convention in August. The bottom line is that they have to find a candidate where it's at least plausible that they could defeat DJT. Obviously, they can't beat him in a real election. All that matters is a candidate where they can use the usual tools (Fake polls, social media suppression of conservatives, boosting of communists) to prop up their candidate and minimize/demonize DJT.
Kamala is not that candidate. You can have all the fake polling you want, but most people aren't going to believe she has a chance against DJT.
The question then becomes of course, who is that candidate? Michelle Obama would be legitimately dangerous as there are still millions of imbeciles out there who think Barry was a great president. "She" is also a relatively skilled orator and women in general like her. I see no one else on the Dem/Communist side that comes close to her as their bench is pathetically weak.

Almost always unnamed sources. The fact is that we have no idea if Michelle is willing to run or not. If she does, it will be a battle.
