I hoped for a red head. My husband usually gets a few red hairs on his arms in summer. With brown & black hair parents it was hopeless. She was blonde until about four years old. I threaten him if I go totally gray I’ll dye it red. A guy I went to school with had the most beautiful auburn hair.
I have DARK HAIR on the sides and back and NONE on TOP!!! When I get out in the sunlight...the mood changes and that night...OOOOOH MY...SLEEP LIKE A BABY!!!!
Also, THE ONLY time I wear sunglasses is driving INTO THE SUN...that is all!!!!
There is something that can be said about wearing sun glasses all the time!!!
Do you mean melanin? If this was true, how come Australia still has the highest rates of skin cancer worldwide? (A bunch of white Europeans who were never adapted to Australian sun)
Toxic sunscreen is the reason for skin cancer, according to many awake doctors. There’s a lot nontoxic sunscreen brands available. Look for reef safe brands. I try to avoid artificial fragrances, unfortunately most clean brands have it. I only wear sunscreen if I’m going to be at the beach or pool for several hours. With the exception of my face. I get sun poisoning so I use it on my nose and lips.
I believe that. When I was little, I don't remember ever burning when my Dad would take me down to the beach. We didn't wear any kind of sun screen lotion.
My wife and I were talking about this a few days ago. We were laughing about all the crap that gets lugged down to the beach when we go now. Chairs, umbrella, cooler, snacks, drinks, games, radio, etc. When I was little, Dad I would just take a couple of towels to sit/lay on.
We get our vitamin D through our eyes as well. Of course the medical field knew that by telling everyone to wear sunglasses and use sunscreen would make us all sick. Everything they have told us over the years has been a lie to push their products that do way more harm than good. Think about it. They said forget the butter. Margarine is better. Don't eat many eggs, bad for your cholesterol. Pasteurize the milk, raw is bad for you. It goes on and on.Oh how they have brainwashed us all. I have come to the conclusion that whatever the government says, we need to do just the opposite.
Eggxactly!!! Eggs/Milk/Cheese/Dairy rock (though I'm lactose intolerant, ha)!!! I can't wait till Health/Medicine is re-hauled for ALL, as Q stated! We can each be our own doctor with common sense training, that should be available to all, free!!!
I drove truck for over 20 years and was also a professional fly fishing guide. I can't imagine being on the river for 8 to 10 hours without polarized glasses. So if your body gets sunburned fairly easy what about your eyes? I'm not saying there's not some truth to this especially in the morning I can understand that. What about snow blindness? Try spending the day out on a frozen lake discovered with snow with the sun beating down
My mother had an eye-injury (a monkey sitting on her head slipped and grabbed her eye-lid on the way down - LOL not-LOL).
She was advised to not wear sunglasses by the very accomplished Japanese eyesurgeon who happened to be visiting that hospital - and he saved her eyesight.
She did take off her very expensive 'polarized' glasses, and it changed her life.
Wow! Bless her heart...sounds excruciating! I believe you are correct about the Japanese eye surgeon. What a Godwink that he treated her!! So grateful your Mother recovered and thrived! 🙏
yeah she was, she died ten years or so ago, but thanks.
Monkeys, unless trained from birth, and treated like a human toddler, i.e. wash hands regularly, eat with spoon, wear nappies, etc., - have dirty long fingernails that dig through poo, just to recycle corn nibbles. They like swimming to keep clean, but are not overly-meticulous about hand cleanliness.
By all means let them play with your hair for friendlies, (and take a shower after) but don't let them sit on your head. Also, tied-up monkeys can be very mean. From experience as a child ( I was bitten between the shoulderblades - very painful and infected).
And it helps prevent you from getting sunburn. My friend and I were talking about it at the doctor's office. She said that she read that sunglasses prevent the body from recognizing that it is in strong sunlight and does not trigger the brain to signal melanin production. She said she went on vacation and didn't wear sunglasses, just a hat and didn't burn. So I tried the same thing when I went on vacation to the Caribbean. Guess what? Beautiful tan and no burn! And since I am fair-skinned, blue-eyed and dark-haired I believed that I was predisposed to burning. What a friggen lie!
Well now you can order eyeglasses on your own from places like Zenii I pay around 100 every other year for an eye exam and I get my prescription from the eye doctors. My glasses are between 40 or 50 but i go for cheap frames. In all my years I've had one dishonest eye doctor try to schmooze me to get expensive eyeglasses from him, he neglected to tell me the prices on the upgrades. I sicced my daughter on him lol. She's the nice version of me, an she got everything handled. My last eye doctor was incredibly honest told me my eyes stayed the same and I didn't need new glasses, and they had no qualms about just giving me my prescription so I could order on my own.
I've wondered, but hard to tell with hormones and aging playing a role. My left eye did get Better vision.. taking lutein and doing eye exercises I found on the internet maybe helped..lol
I have severe astigmatism my eyes are really light sensitive I squint even with sunglasses on. Although I don't wear them when I'm sitting in the shade.
Th nk yoj for this Fren ! This is so true and I knew this years ago but as time goes by I tend to forget a lot of imp God created life lines of health . I will ditch my shades starting today ,, not 100 percent but I will surely decrease by a lot ! I am so happy you posted this . Here’s to Gods wsy of staying healthy !
I follow a Castor oil group for wellness benefits. In one discussion, a member mentioned that looking into the sun for a half in the AM as it rises and PM as it sets...over time, brought her eyesight back to or closer to 20/20 vision.
Yes...many in the group use it on the eyelids overnight and report decreased floaters. Some have put a drop(s) in the eye for vision correction and eye health. Lots of CO uses!
I'm guessing you don't live in Arizona. Except early in the morning, I can't walk outside without them. I literally cannot open my eyes without glasses on especially in the summer. It's been this way for a long time but I had Lasik and my sensitivity got much worse.
This is really scary when you realize these people who control society know all this stuff that’s essentially not publicly well known information, yet weaponized it to slowly destroy us.
This is all true, but I have to say that I hate when people insinuate that unfettered sun exposure is just the risk free answer to everything. I have Fitzpatrick level 1 skin and my opthamologist said my irises have no pigment, are basically clear. She was exaggerating obviously, since I'm not albino, but she was saying that my eyes have very little pigment to protect themselves from the sun. People like me (Northern white people) are not adapted to sun exposure, so we need sunglasses and sun protective clothing and even, gasp, sunblock depending on the environment!
Where you live makes a difference in how that sun hits ya. 4 pm driving into the sun you are BLINDED at times of the year here.
Also, cataracts run in my family and sunglasses protect my eyes against getting them (at least as soon).
I won't be giving up my Transitions any time soon.
I told that to my sister long time ago, that nobody should be wearing sunglasses because I believe is hurting us with less sun benefits including our eyes. When they invent something new I know it not beneficial for our health on the contrary is bad for us.
I hate to say it, but TikTok is awash with perineum sunning and some actor, I forget who got a butthole sunburn. It's a thing, a replacement for coffee they claim, lol. Hope I never have to see it.
This is goofy. The melanin in the skin is produced by the skin; it has nothing to do with the eyes or what the eyes see. (Same thing with vitamin D.) The eyes do not respond to UV; the lens filters it out. Excessive UV will hasten the aging of the lens toward the formation of a cataract. UV blocking is a design requirement for artificial lenses. It is bad for the retina. If the sunglasses cut light intensity by 50%, that will not harm you. The natural variation in eye sensitivity is much greater than that. Polarized lenses will do that, and also block light that is horizontally polarized, such as reflections off water, which is a primary source of glare. You get all the blue light you need from skyshine (which makes fear of computer screen blue light kind of silly).
I'm speaking from a career involving making intraocular lenses and having read all of a thick university textbook on ophthalmology. If you think this is a good idea, go up on the ski slopes sometime without eye protection and go blind. There is the famous scene in "The Four Feathers" (1939) where Ralph Richardson's character is stranded in the desert and goes blind from the overwhelming sunlight. The moment is captured in the Miklos Rozsa score by the sound of a hammer hitting an anvil. (A good film and a good story, as a meditation on courage.)
Great report fren! Be careful out there on the roads! 🙏
I once read when you get uv through the eyes, skin produce melatonin which helps the skin tan.
Me, a ginger, gave up wearing sunglasses at once and never got sunburned again.
Wow! I have dark Aurburn hair, rarely wear sunglasses or burn as well fren!
Hmmm, Joy must be very proud. Ginger kids are the most beautiful.❤️
Alas, my beloved Mamma is in Heaven but I believe she was proud and hopefully still is...☝️🪽✨🌌
I believe she always will be.❤️
Aawww...😘
Look at yourself: a beautiful blushing ginger. Who would not have a crush on you?🤓
Think of Maureen O'Hara, that's me a firey Irish woman 😺🍀
I hoped for a red head. My husband usually gets a few red hairs on his arms in summer. With brown & black hair parents it was hopeless. She was blonde until about four years old. I threaten him if I go totally gray I’ll dye it red. A guy I went to school with had the most beautiful auburn hair.
Free your inner red haired spirit! 😺
Great find, j1d!

Do you use zinc oxide? Grew up surfing and always used it on my nose...
Sun poisoning.. is it a horrible bumps and itchy rash type thing?
Yes, melanin. Melatonin is for a better sleep.
Melania... What a classy lady!
I know that's not what you're talking about, but I felt it hasn't been said for a little while.
Absolutely! Beauty inside & out! ✨
I wouldn’t be surprised if vision glasses are avoidable too. Have heard there are exercises you can do to avoid them.
I read about the Bates method a while back. Might be others out there to naturally improve your own eyesight.
I believe that. When I was little, I don't remember ever burning when my Dad would take me down to the beach. We didn't wear any kind of sun screen lotion.

You are correct on every point fren! Our Father gave us everything we need to thrive! ☝️✨🙌
Amen, praise Jesus!!!❤️❤️❤️

I agree ..this is safe for early mornings...go out in shorts and sleeveless shirt to get safe amounts

Omg, someone put a monkey on my head one time & I never considered that possibility! Got a great pic tho🐸Glad she's ok💖
yeah she was, she died ten years or so ago, but thanks.

Oh my! Thankfully you're ok! 🙏
Noice.
As I said: no manners, unless watched 24/7.
I used to walk a monkey around on a leash at the zoo I worked at. He didn't seem to care about putting his hands on nasty stuff.
Lol, internet quote of the day 🐸

So fabulous to hear of your results! ✨ Exciting to know people are becoming more informed!
If light absorption through the eyes is a significant factor, then a meta analysis of statistics on blind people is low hanging fruit.
Yes!! I wonder if that could make a measurable difference?
I think this could be true, which sucks bc I like wearing sunglasses and my eyes are sensitive to light from the -ism
Me too !
I've kind of wondered if regular glasses are used to make eyes worse, so you will continue to come back every year and get new ones
Well now you can order eyeglasses on your own from places like Zenii I pay around 100 every other year for an eye exam and I get my prescription from the eye doctors. I remember seeing a special on PBS like 20 years ago or something, where they were testing different exercises for the eyes and having success.
Me too!

I just ran into someone who mentioned Castor oil to improve vision 3 days ago!

If you want to dive deep in the topic, Jack Kruse has some interesting takes on why this works.
Thanks PDL!

Absolutely fren!
Sound right to me! And I live in florida and am "legally blind" w/o glasses, ha!
Wait til you find out why that isn’t working like it used to…
I hate to say it, but TikTok is awash with perineum sunning and some actor, I forget who got a butthole sunburn. It's a thing, a replacement for coffee they claim, lol. Hope I never have to see it.
