And I wouldn't put it past them to be the cause of this Flame Spurt, feeding a narrative for a distraction. It's the type of thing they do pretty regularly I think.

And if you watch this video, towards the end it very clearly turns out to be flames. Gas. Mud volcanoes are supposedly mostly erupting due to boiling water in the deep, but there is usually also methane gas, and it can ignite. Usually that seems to be only small bursts of flame near the surface, but from what I have read, well, sometimes they can release a lot of methane.

This is a part of the Ring of Fire around the Pacific Rim. Volcanoes 🌋 in this ring have been dormant for some time. During that time, pressure has been building and you would be amazed how much energy the earth can expel.

Sufficiently powerful blasts do cause a Mushroom cloud like effect.
