I am going through some big changes in my life. As my wife has entered the 3rd trimester of pregnancy I have started to look at things differently. On here we are so plugged into the now and immediate future but now that it is really starting to hit me that I am becoming a father it has made me pull back and look at things from a 5+ year perspective.
I think the deep state is done or at minimum severely damaged to a point they can’t recover. There are simply too many people awake. I don’t think we will be rounded up and thrown in box cars or anything like that.
What I mean is that I am more concerned about the fallout of it all for a lack of better term. What will America look like in 5+ years? And don’t take this as dooming as this is more of I DON’T KNOW.
America has many problems with feminism, mass immigration, multiculturalism etc and I am not sure how these issues will be solved without some sort of drastic measures taken place. How this plays out again I don’t know.
With that being said my wife and I have made the difficult decision that we have to leave Washington State. I hate this state’s politics but it is still hard for me as a 4th generation Washingtonian. My great grandfather was one of the original Norwegian fishermen in Seattle. I am a PNW guy through and through, hiking the Cascades, clam digging on the coast, grew up listening to grunge rock music and going to Seattle sports games. It is my home.
But in states like Washington, Oregon, California and Colorado that only have mail in voting there is no voting our way out of the insanity here and it is only getting worse. The Washington State legislature wants to allow non citizens to be police and prosecutors and they also want the power to remove sheriff’s. And you know they will use that to target conservatives and whites. Cost of living is insane and this state is Sodom and Gomorrah with all the LGBTQ nonsense.
Maybe elections will be fixed here and things will get better but like a game of poker I gotta play with the cards I am dealt with currently. Right now I got a 2 of hearts and 9 of spades (a shitty hand in case you don’t play poker) I can’t rely on getting two aces three hands from now. I don’t think states like Washington can be saved without federal intervention of some sort.
After being laid off from the beer industry I have decided to go back to school to get into wastewater and storm water. In 1-1.5 years I’ll have my AS degree and certifications and will be applying to jobs out of state so we can get out of here.
We don’t want our daughter growing up in the Seattle area. We want our kids to grow up in a place that still feels like America, has actual community and not worry about trans insanity.
So for the near future my life will be baby, school, work, church, chores, working out and personal growth so I can be a good father. I have to be absolutely locked into our plan. No distractions whether it’s here, going on social media etc. I am unplugging. I have come to the realization that the best thing I can do to fight the deep state is to raise children who think critically.
Lastly I wanted to end this post in gratitude. This place helped me regain my faith and this place helped my sanity during COVID. I’ll always remember going into Whole Foods in Redmond (where Microsoft is) maskless and fist bumping some skater kids who were also maskless while the liberal Karen’s looked at us like we were lab rats lmfao.
And just remember if you resisted the jab especially in a liberal shit hole like Seattle, Canada, Europe, NYC, Chicago etc. you helped prevent the world from being enslaved. You are a person of principle, mentally tough and stand on business. And no matter what happens in your life nobody can take that from you.
So in a couple of days I’ll be deleting my account as I start Spring Quarter on Monday and will be going to school year round. If people are interested sometime in July or August I can make a temp account to give an update on the baby and what my life has been like as a normie. I have never been a normie as I woke up my senior year of high school campaigning for the End the Fed Ron Paul movement so I am actually interested to see what it is like living as one.
Wish you all the best.
Cheers 🍻

Thank you for all your help. Please consider leaving your existing posts and comments up so that we still have your contributions.
Good luck with all your future family adventures.
I second that, pnwhomebrewer. The anons like to be able to reference old posts and comments. Feel free to leave your account open. We'll leave the light on for you if you want to come back and visit. We'll miss you here at GAW.
I'd like to third that. Walk away, say goodbye, but let your history remain. If you can, homebrewer.
Godspeed fren, and congratulations on the baby. Live your life with honour and integrity.
Please do check back in, let us know if God blessed you with a boy or a girl. 🫡🇺🇸🫡🇺🇸🫡🇺🇸
Apply for work in Houston,Austin and San Antonio, Texas.
Texas has a very strong brewery& microbrewery / brewpub culture, and there are a lot of opportunities for experienced people. Also, water and wastewater treatment is a very big growing industry here. The economy is strong, there are ZERO state & local income taxes, and pay rates here are 1.5 X what they are in Washington State, while the cost of living is lower.
There are really good communities, no liberal attitudes but the area isn't uptight either. Plenty to do, good entertainment and work and living possibilities. You could go to Texas Hill Country north of Austin, or enjoy the music scene and foods of Austin, or try the heavily forested and lake areas east of Houston, or the rolling hills north and west of Houston, or the rich culture of San Antonio.
If you visit, its a great place to raise a family and you won't be sorry.
I have been to Austin and Houston. Many things I like about Texas but it’s just too flat for me. I need my mountains.
And the beer industry is taking a beating as MAHA grows. People are drinking less which is a good thing. You can still kill it as a local brew pub that has music and events but I wouldn’t want to be a mid sized distribution brewery at the moment.
Tennessee on the east side outside Knoxville was a little piece of heaven for us. Hope to get back there one day. All the big cities in Texas are democrat so if you were to consider coming here, go rural for sure.
Tennessee is circled for me. I have roughly 8 states circled
There is no income tax and the property tax was ridiculously low when living rurally where you can claim agriculture exemptions. We lived below Clinch Mountain which stretches for 100 miles and we climbed the part where we lived many times. The people were awesome and there is nothing and I do mean nothing like the Great Smokey Mountains. We would sit on our porch and watch the smoke rise up for the floor of the mountains and we understood how it got its name. We loved it.
Oh and one more thing which is the main reason I want to go back. There are 4 very distinct seasons each lasting almost exactly 3 months so while the summer does get hot, it doesn't last forever like here in Texas and the snow melts just about when you are ready for it to.
Unfortunately, one state has everything you are looking for except the mountains: Indiana. A true red state , purplish in Indy, but northern indiana would be perfect if we had a view of a range. We'd never leave.
I can do flat if there are woods. Are you by South Bend or Fort Wayne?
Go up to the East Texas Piney Woods. The area is called the Big Thicket...YUGE HILLS!
I literally just watched a YouTube video about this!
Without revealing exactly, yes we are in northern indiana. 🙂
I travel for work so im in south bend, elkhart, goshen and ft. Wayne areas a lot., i get down as far as indy for work, and go into ohio and michigan.
Its a lot of farmland and woods and state parks and you have the dunes off lake michigan (though i dont go much).
Southern indiana is loaded with woods and rolling hills.
Lots of caves and underground rivers you can take tours.
We are full.
Noooooo, I wanna come back some day.
Youll have to show your previous TN i.d. lol
Northern Arkansas is awesome and you can work in Missouri. The Ozarks bro
I’ll look into it.
Ozarks! Go every summer.
Come on over to Montana. I live in Wyoming but we visit Billings Montana a lot. We plan on moving here in a couple years.
We almost moved to Montana, but too far away from fam. I expect America to win back California. Best of everything for you and your family, homebrewer.
Montana has a very robust brewery infrastructure, great mountains, fishing and good honest people, especially east of the continental divide. Happy trails and hope you end up where you can enjoy life and pursue your dreams.
Those are all libtard cities anyway...
Plenty of colleges here to continue your education. If it's community College or local, try University of Houston, Sam Houston University, Lonestar College, Kingwood, Lamar, etc.... tons of good schools.
Houston is the heart of the nation's oil, gas and petrochemical industry (plastics, household chemicals, etc...) and there is more work available here than you'd find elsewhere. Consider it.
Yep. Definately no liberal attitudes in Austin. Everybody knows that.
Kek...gotta get 20 miles out of Austin before you are back in Texas.
Well said, "the best thing I can do to fight the deep state is to raise children who think critically."🐸💖🇺🇸👌
No need to delete the account Fren!
Godspeed to you and your family.
Glad to see this comment. If you delete your acct u/pnwhomebrewer it will leave gaps in the pond logs from your contributions. Something to consider for those of us (and new frogs) who dig backwards into the content of this board. Plus you never know, at some point down the road you may decide to pop back in.
That being said, Godspeed fren! Sounds like you've got your head on straight, focused on family & future with a solid plan ironed out. Blessings to you, your family, and thank you for being a vocal part of this wild bunch here!
I appreciate ALL of your contributions over the years u/pnwhomebrewer. You saved us as much as we saved you because...

I am also glad to know how seriously you are taking your responsibilities to yourself, your wife, your child, your Faith, and your future livelihood. This is yet another lesson from you on how we can all live our lives better.
As prop of universe said, please keep your account up so we can all continue to learn from you. Also, if you are ever in a place where you feel the need for this community, it will be so much easier for you to come back to your same account.
Speaking of which, you are ALWAYS welcome here. I know you already know that, but sometimes it feels good to hear it from others all the same.
May God continue to bless you and yours. Happy Easter.

Thank you man
Anytime fren. We will look for your return. All the best to your family.
Sad to see you go, but glad for all your happy changes. Best wishes, go rural and remember - when the time comes, buy the kid a pony.
We will miss you in WA! Best choice is to get out and raise your babies in a safe state. We will keep up the work you started...
Idaho is our top choice but I got the Carolinas, Montana, Wyoming, Arizona, and Tennessee circled as well. I would say Utah as well but I have heard that if you aren’t Mormon that it’s very hard socially.
As much as I want to encourage Utah, if that is your main concern it can be difficult depending on the neighborhood you end up in.
Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints myself, it is frustrating to have had neighbors in many places I have lived that tend to forget about social stuff outside of their ward boundaries (church groups) and work/school life.
I now in a neighborhood that actively promotes Halloween participation for neighbors & kids who are not part of the church your mentioned & the entire neighborhood promoted get together for neighborhood parties asking every single neighbor to come & just bring what ever they can contribute (we have some amazing neighbors who generally offer meats for these parties & only started asking for the meat cost if neighbors could afford it to help since the economy tanked). When the economy tanked & neighbors were asked to pitch in $1 per pulled pork sandwich this year (first time) some other neighbor had donated $1000 and only the grill master knows who gave it. They wanted to make sure every single family, regardless of political/religious/income/ect choices were welcomed with open arms and just to let us all get to know each other better.
It really does depend on the specific area. I was amazed when a micro brewery was opened and is doing incredibly well in my old home town.
I have always laughed when friends that don't share my religious beliefs tell me that I can't be from Utah, because I don't seem like a Utah Mormon... There has definitely been a distinct issue & it stems from the Civil War era when the federal government sent the largest standing army to Utah, and then there was no war here. May skirmishes where communities were raided occasionally, but overall things were pretty peaceful & there was a serious distrust of outsiders created by that whole time.
edit - on a side note, if it wasn't so expensive, I have had many friends tell me that Salt Lake is much like the Seattle the recall 20+ years ago as far as social feeling. Might be a bad thing if it keeps moving left.
Friends kid in college at Tennesse and absolutely loves it! My dad's side of family is from W. Wyoming- beautiful country and still very free. Idaho=good, the further away from Boise the better
I just saw this after posting below 😂. I gave you almost the same list. You definitely need to go on a road trip and check out Sand Point Idaho and then drive an hour east. You'll hit a tiny town called Trout Creek Montana, grab lunch and then turn around, go back across the bridge and take your first right onto Blue Slide rd. I dare you to drive it all the way to Thompson Falls without wanting to get online and start looking for property in Sanders County immediately. There's a reason my Grandpa chose to retire there.
That is a beautiful area out there.
We left there several years ago. The central US is better, calmer, and less liberal, but there are still people pushing that ideology. Find a good church home in your new location, consider homeschooling, be involved in your local politics, and seek God's plan for you & your family. He loves you & will provide for you. May God bless your wife & baby with a safe pregnancy, labor, & delivery. May he grant that each of you grow old to see your grandchildren grow old. Teach them to seek God always & trust in Jesus for their salvation. God bless you today & always, fren!
That is one of the main reasons why we are leaving. If I was rich or upper middle class I would send my kids to a school like Bellevue Christian or Eastside Catholic but I am working class. So basically we have to move somewhere where we can afford to homeschool or be in a place with a more conservative curriculum.
I am not sending my kids to public school in the Seattle area.
My favorite used homeschool bookstore moved from the Totem Lake area in WA to Buford, GA. If you end up out that way I recommend checking them out! https://hspbooks.com/
Brother, this hits hard and I respect the hell out of it. Becoming a father shifts everything into that 5+ year lens, and you're handling it with real clarity and discipline—prioritizing your wife, your daughter, school, work, church, and building yourself into the man they need.
Leaving 4th-generation Washington roots is no small thing, especially with that deep PNW blood (Norwegian fishermen, Cascades hikes, grunge, clams, and all), but you're playing the hand you're dealt like a man instead of hoping for pocket aces. Wastewater/stormwater is solid, honorable work that communities actually need.
Unplugging to lock in and raise critical-thinking kids who love real America is one of the most effective ways to push back against the insanity. You'll land in a place that still feels like home—actual community, sanity, and values. Grateful for the stand you took during COVID too; that resistance mattered.
Wishing you, your wife, and your little one strength, smooth moves, and a bright future. Stay locked in—you've got this. Godspeed.
Thanks man. Yeah it’s hard. I have been here since the election steal when Patriots . Win was dooming hard core. I stumbled upon here. I had no idea who Q was. Just people weren’t losing their minds so I stayed and learned.
But the parental instincts have really kicked in the past two weeks. Like yeah I knew she was pregnant but now that the bump is growing a lot it’s really hit me.
And the Seattle I grew up with doesn’t exist anymore. My hometown is unrecognizable due to mass immigration. Tech has basically priced out anyone who works a normal job. My plan was to move to Eastern Washington but the state level stuff is getting so bad that even out there you can’t escape it.
best of luck to you your wife and the baby...hang tough fern we are always here for you........
Please lurk in on us now and then!
Bless you pnwhomebrewer, bless you and your family. both born and unborn. May the blessings of the Lord rain down upon you like tears of happiness from Heaven.
congrats fren, may the LORD bless you both abundantly. A little advice the younger years are the best. I would take terrible two's over teenagers any day. But good luck fren.
I join in not deleting your account! Congrats to your family all! Remember helping maintain a solid republic one of the family priorities. Life in order God Family Republic ( this includes the people in your life)
Move to a state that is friendly to Home Schooling. Start early preparing to do it. Our Daughter and Son in Law, moved from Seattle area twice.. last time was for good and they moved to South Carolina. She has always Home schooled our Grand kids and they are smart, respectful, responsible and happy. My sister Grand kids that are in public schools are suffering from gender dysfunction and identity ideology which is glorified in Colorado. Start preparing early to school your kids. It is a gift you give them.
South Carolina is one my states that is circled.
If you were to land in the foothills of upstate SC, we could brew a few batches...
I got South Carolina on my radar. My uncle lives there!
Ooh. That's rough on your sister, I'm sure. Prayers that God intervenes and restores sanity. 🙏
Appreciated your posts over the years fren and knowing, at least peripherally, that there were others awake in the PNW
You are correct in your assessment that raising your kids to be critical thinkers is the most important job a human can do. All the best to you and yours, and I pray that you continue to experience success.
Signed, Oregonian
Enoy the Ending Fren - You will be back in your beloved (New and Improved) state soon!
Good choices, bless ou and your family!
Good luck bro, there's no going back into the pod tho. Once you're out and have new eyes you can't go back. It's like unringing a bell. Washington is beautiful but you've made the right choice to leave as I have made the choice to leave California, my home of 63 years. One love ❤️
Yup the west coast states until further notice are completely fucked.
After your house is sold and before you lock it and go - maybe leave a few things for the new owners to find. Something Q-related, a couple pictures of Trump, whatever. Maybe it will redpill the new owners, maybe they will like it, or maybe it will trigger them. All 3 options sound fine to me.
Good luck. I hope you did a lot of research as to where you will move. Things like no income taxes, gun-friendly versus commie, low cost of living, the voting trends of the county (red/blue for how long), crime - all the important stuff that many people don't think about until they've moved.
I remember when our daughter was born some older guy tells me that there is this guy on the AM radio I should l listen to. Yep, Rush Limbaugh. That was life changing for me. There was hope!! Good luck to you and check back with the good news.
Late to the party, but I hope you will still see this text. Please don’t delete your account. Life WILL get better for everyone. You will still need your down time, come back and just lurk when everything starts getting better for encouragement. Blessings for you and your family, as God is always in control. Remember, you have been here for 5+ years, and we are family too. Looking forward to reading all the comments later. Think about moving to the free state of Florida! WWG1WGA Fren!! ❤️
Shadilay, fren. See you on the flip side.
Drop by from time to time, yeah?
o7
Godspeed.
Hey, hey, DO NOT delete your account. Just stop logging in if you need to quit posting. Not posting is sensible. Deleting your account hurts others. Just went through that 4 times with Tetartos, who did have a ton of good information. TONS. God rest his soul.
All that said, may the grace of God find you blessed on getting yourself set up for the coming new world!
Good luck Fren! We bailed on the Westside of WA in 2022. Was hoping to land in FL, TX or ID. After a freedom tour of the states and great thought, we only made it Eastern WA. We have an only teenage child and she was really dreading moving away from the extended family; all of whom live in WA.
In the end, I walked away from a fruitful career and had to reinvent my career but we have no regrets whatsoever.
Godspeed in your journey and please, please, PLEASE!! do NOT vaccinate your precious child when they are born! 🙏
Cheers mate!
Take a break, lurk, visit, logout and lose you PW forever, but don't delete your account!!! Trust me.
I just managed to unearth/view my old/banned Twitter account (Pre-X), and was absolutely floored at how accurate we all were, collectively, dating back to 2021 and prior.
One day you may send your children the URL to view your profile(s). They'll be proud that you were one of the select few who stood up to the tyranny in the face of being called crazy/wrong/Kool-Aid drinking/Trump Qultist/MAGAt... and were correct the entire time.
Deleting any Anon account is akin to burning a historical book/document.
You are truly fighting a noble fight. Press on toward the goal to win the prize!!
Best of luck to you and your family. Making a big move can be difficult, we moved from the East Coast to the Midwest when our children were toddlers, and it was a great place to raise our family. Unfortunately, we had to move back here due to my husband's work. It hasn't been awful, but I wish we were still in the Midwest. I'm sure you'll find the right place to raise your family, God is good and will help you.
All blessings to you and your family going forward on your new journey. May God guide your steps and protect you and your loved ones and may His face always shine upon you wherever you decide to land. Always been partial to TX myself. Lots of growth and opportunities there.
o7 Anon! Stand your ground and fight. Good luck!
This is an excellent post to leave us with. Your focus and determination are inspiring. Congratulations!
Cool story Bro, see you next week!
God bless you Beer Man!! May the good Lord bless you and your wife abundantly, with numerous healthy babies and a stellar career and in a healthy environment! 🧡
We’ve been in the FOMO part of this journey for some time and while it’s been fun trying to connect dots and bake bread over the last few years (decade?!?), it’s now more important that we focus on the here and now with our families. You’re going to love everything about your new girl (even the copious amount of fluids you’ll be swimming in soon 😆). Enjoy watching that little thing explore and find her interests. Even if they’re not so interesting to you, sit with her and do things she enjoys from time to time, and of course, share your interests with her.
I wish you all the best brother! Good luck with your move!
