"With tears in my eyes, I swear to you on all that is holy that this protocol WILL NEVER WORK if you don't follow the food competition rules."
• OPTION #1:
4000mg L-lysine/ day total, taken in (2 separate) 2000mg doses on empty stomach or w/ a bit of juice/toast/carbs.
NO protein for a minimum 2 hrs before AND 1 hr after Lysine doses.
L-lysine absorption is impaired by protein. (Via amino competition).
4000mg Vitamin C/ day total, taken in (2 separate) 2000mg doses on empty stomach or w/ protein meal.
NO Carbs for minimum 2 hrs before AND 1 hr after Vitamin C doses.
Vitamin C absorption is impaired by carbs. (Via glucose competition).
OR YOU CAN TAKE THEM TOGETHER:
• OPTION #2:
2000mg Vitamin C and 2000mg Lysine TOGETHER on a COMPLETELY empty stomach (zero food, only water for minimum 2 hrs before AND 1 hr after doses. Longer is better).
Do this twice daily.
So what's the difference between these two options?
For people with sensitive stomachs, the first method allows you to eat a little bit of food with your doses.
For this to work: I CANNOT OVERSTATE ENOUGH HOW CRITICAL IT IS TO AVOID ABSORPTION COMPETITION: Lysine vs Protein & Vit C vs Carbs.
I first posted this year about two years ago. Long story short: my father-in-law had three serious blockages in his arteries, one being about 90% blocked, so they scheduled a heart stent procedure for him.
We pushed the procedure date out to four weeks and I got him on this protocol that I myself designed for him based on what I knew from Linus Pauling's research.
Pauling recommended doses as high as 10,000 mg or more daily. This is very difficult to do.
I did the research and found out what blocks/competes with the absorption of these two supplements, put together a schedule, and gave it to him to follow.
Spoiler: IT WORKED EVEN BETTER THAN I PREDICTED.
Four weeks later he got to the heart stent procedure appointment and they stuck a scope up the artery in his groin all the way up to his heart and found no blockages.
They canceled and sent him home feeling great.
To be clear: the blockages were seen clearly on "scan with contrast".
Before he started the protocol, he couldn't even go for a walk around the block without feeling like he was going to have a heart attack or pass out.
he was feeling significantly better within 7–10 days of starting the protocol.
You can read the full story on how this happened twice a few years apart to him at the link below.
FAQ
Do I need to add any other shit for this to work?
< Robin Williams with heavy Scottish accent>
FUUK NOO! I know this exact method works FAST from firsthand experience. Most people, including my father-in-law saw a noticeable improvement in 7–10 days.
Some have said they saw even better results by adding 1000mg L-Proline.
• I tried this and it didn't work. Yeah, I cheated a little bit on the "no food competition" rule, but I still expected results. What do you recommend?
A lobotomy. 😂
• Can you take BOTH Vit C & Lysine together?
YES - but ONLY on an empty stomach (Only water 2hrs before/1hr after MINIMUM)
• Does Vit C & Lysine compete with EACHOTHER?
NO. I recommend taking them both together.
• How long should you do this for?
4-6 weeks. Bare minimum 2 weeks.
• What if a start feeling sick/exhausted?
You could be having a Herxheimer reaction from whatever infection vitamin C is killing inside your body. In this case, lower the vitamin C doses to 500mg and slowly work your way back up.
• Will this lower my blood pressure?
It lowered my FIL's to normal levels and u/PopcornTastesGood said it lowered his significantly in 1.5 weeks.
• Does this interfere with medication(s)?
Possibly some. Google it.
• Google says vitamin C interferes with my medication. Can I still do this?
Maybe. Ask your doctor if there's a loophole.
• Will this work for jab-related blockages?
I don't know... what do you have to lose?
• Will this lower my cholesterol?
Probably. It lowered my father-in-law's.
• What if I'm fasting?
That makes it easy. You can take them together
• Can I take more/less?
These are the doses I know work. You can safely double the dose.
• Any side effects?
Upset stomach from Vit C. Maybe diarrhea the first few days. A hard boiled egg or couple slices of deli meat is recommended with Vit C.
• Is the schedule flexible?
Yes but the "2hrs before/1 hour after" rule is NOT
• What type of vitamin C/lysine should I buy?
Lysine and L-lysine are the same thing. It is a constituent of protein, naturally occurring and cheap.
Use Capsules, NOT hard-pressed pills for best absorption.
NO time release/buffered Vitamin C.
I use SOLGAR L-Lysine 500mg capsules
and SOLGAR Vitamin C 500mg capsules.
The brand is not important and I'm not here to sell supplements.

Awesome!!!
Avoiding absorption competition is critical, I've seen this with NAC for years. Great advice.
Which NAC (cystine or choline) or both? And which foods should be avoided?
Cysteine NAC and recently SAMe too. Most of it is just taking it on an empty stomach, you eliminate competition since there isn't any.
Yeah when I first tried it, helped with HBP and I've been meaning to do another round (cause Lord knows I ain't been living clean) but haven't gotten around to it. Didn't know you can do both together, good to know, will take this as a sign to do so.
I should do an arterial scan before and after too... You know, for science
Hey Time traveler, I'm still alive and well thanks to your info. Thanks again for helping save my life. Now I share this info with anyone that will listen.

Absolutely works. I was told I had carotid blockages at 50% come back every year and test until 75% and we will do “stents”. Ah no! Risk death through stroke-awesome or heart attack! Those were not options I was willing to take. Did the research, bought the Linus Pauling Vitamin C/lysine protocol. Completed it. Had another carotid ultra sound and it came back clear. That was years ago. I am repeating it again right now also eating as close to carnivore as I can. Many carnivore have a Cardiac Calcium Score done. You want the test to be as close to zero as you can. Many report a zero score. Modern medicine cannot get you there but carnivore can. All the “fear” of cholesterol? Means nothing if it ain’t true. Millions placed on Statins do not reduce their risk.

Thanks for reposting,
There is sound logic to this regimen.
Lysine (and proline) inhibit lipoprotein-a from binding to endothelial cells (a predominant cause of athersclerosis/cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease). One article I read way back in the day reported lipoprotein-a as being 900% more atherogenic than regular ol LDL cholesterol.
Vit C helps with endothelial repair.
There’s a book from Pauling on all of this.
You’re a priceless treasure JT17.
Thanks fren!
This works hands down. Helped me and multiple family members. Thank you @JohnTitor17
WWG1WGA!
I used this for 2 months. Last test, my heart arteries are BEAUTIFUL. That follows horrible coronary calcium test with very bad score.
I had a coworker with a high CAC. He was in the "let's monitor and prepare for stents" phase. He did the pauling protocol as described above plus the N1O1 nitric oxide supplement from Dr. Nathan Bryan. His BP went from 122/90 to 111/75 in 4 weeks. Scan came back nominal. Stress test was cancelled.
I would like to suggest that you can use sodium ascorbate for the Vitamin C instead of ascorbic acid. It's a powder, and doesn't bother me on an empty stomach. 1/4 teaspoon equals 1000mg of Vitamin C. I just mix it in some water.
My son always prefers this.
For maintenance I periodically use 1000 mgs of Absorbic C and 1000 mgs Listine.
Also training oneself to breath through your nose while exercising like walking, releases all important Nitric Oxide throughout the body.
Just noting this for others, the high dose vitamin C gives me really bad headaches after the first week. I have to cut those dosage down a little bit and the headaches go away. Just to keep in mind incase you get headaches from this protocol.

This protocol saved my life. We all eventually pass away, but this added time for sure.
Thanks again!

Awesome! Very happy to hear that CigarTsar!!!

Love the name too by the way
Thanks!
If you have an existing stent in place is this procedure still recommended? Stent in place for over 10 years.
Good question. I will add to FAQ.
Yes it's completely fine (in my experience).
My FIL already had a stent in place for a few years when he first did this protocol.
Thanks for the prompt answer. If I had access to this information at the time the stent was implanted, I would certainly have used the protocol. I will probably do it now as a preventive measure.
On option 2 can you drink black coffee?
AI/WebMD says no carbs but trace amounts of fat and protein.
I'm not sure but it's probably ok.
I would look up if there's any carbohydrates in your coffee.
thx!
I am starting a second round of this protocol this week. I am convinced it is effective, but, this time, I will know in a 4 to 6 months when I go back for another heart cath. I had a 70% blockage of my LAD before my pericardiectomy in August 2024, but they were unable to do the bypass of that LAD since the damage and inflammation of my heart from the pericarditis made it too dangerous to attempt. The cardiologist decided to just treat with medication.
I have other plans since I do not want to be on medication for the rest of my life.
I figured i was headed for trouble, so i tried this. I got about 2 days in, but i was too far gone and had a HA. Got stents now. Have wondered if this may have kept me from dieing.
I asked the cardiologists PA about this. The PA responded there was no conclusive proof. Definitely going to pursue this in the future. Would much prefer this to statins.
Ironically, main artery nearly completely closed. Nothing in any of the other arteries.
Godspeed fren!
Thanks u/JohnTitor17 I did this protocol and followed your instructions. I was too lazy to take my BP before and after, but I can report that I felt better after. I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again, but I really need to clean up the rest of my act as well. Your effort advocating this is very much appreciated.
That's great to hear Queef!
You are quite welcome fren!
I hope this works for others, it didn't for me, but everyone is different. That is why some of the alternative cancer treatments work great for some people, but not for others. It certainly was worth the try. I'm now leaving my heart to God :) I'm thinking that any further analysis is like when the Israelites conducted a census when they were told not to (to essentially get a measure of the "health" of their nation); that didn't work out for them.
Do you have calcium blockages or is it cholesterol based? This protocol is effective against cholesterol plaque build up and not calcium.
As far as I'm aware, this is the only thing effective at clearing out calcium in your arteries. https://www.cavadex.com/
A guy on Reddit who figured this out. https://www.reddit.com/r/HPBCDCyclodextrin/s/Iixd6iDFNo
Yes, my CAC is high due to the calcification of the cholesterol deposits. After doing the vitamin C/Lysine regimen did not seem to help; my CAC score went up (maybe it would have gone up higher without it :) ) What I didn't know at the time is how much radiation is involved with those CAT scans! Equivalent to about 150 chest x-rays! So now I've had more radiation than the space station astronauts :)
Yikes! I didn't realize the CAT scans were that high in radiation. I knew it was higher, but not that much.
Well, good luck and hope you find a remedy. That product has good reviews, but you have to do micro enemas...
JohnTitor17, I am a woman and my weight is 77 pounds, I am having issues with my colon and can’t gain weight specially after 2020 plandemic. No vaccines here, How much should I take? Please let me know. Thank you and God bless you
Hello. I would say you could probably cut the doses in half.
Godspeed sister fren
Thank you and God bless
I am on it and feeling somewhat better. I add the L-Proline and Nattokinase.
Suggestions for maintenance after the first 4 weeks??
The two week regimen a few times a year is probably all this necessary for maintenance.
Trying to clear out actual blockages, start with four weeks and then go a bit longer depending on how bad the situation was or how it's improving.
Always appreciate this life saving information, have shared it many times. Many Thanks !
"Some have said they saw even better results by adding 1000mg L-Proline.
• I tried this and it didn't work. Yeah, I cheated a little bit on the "no food competition" rule, but I still expected results"
Are you able to do lab work prn at workplace or Dr friend, etc? Or do you go to a Lab Test Now place? Just curious.
Thanks!
You mean to confirm the results or...?
Yessir
Just one question...Someone I know suffers from a gastric emptying problems...as result she is high fiber adverse (imagine the possibility of coleslaw being deadly)...any adjustments to make outside of adding a hour or two to the no digestive competition rule?
That's a good question and the answer is I don't know. I would do some research on that.
Thanks had to ask.
Gastroparesis? Has she tried a small amount of senna? You can get capsules or it’s sold as “ballerina tea.” You know it’s working when you get cramps and have to high-tail it to the bathroom but if you take enough, it’ll clear you out. Only 1 dose, don’t want to dehydrate.
I will ask her if she has
Commenting so I can come back to this. Thank you, JT17
I assume liposomal vitamin C is an ok form of vitamin C to use?
Yes
If you start this, should you ever stop it or do you do this in perpetuity?
Can this be done as preventative if you don't have these blockages yet?
Will it lower ALT levels?
This is not something that you have to keep taking in perpetuity per se.
I would take it for perhaps four weeks and then give it a break for a month or two or whatever.
Do a maintenance course for 2-4 weeks a few times per year.
I'm not sure about the ALT levels.
thanks a bunch!
I’m starting this Friday. Thanks fren.
I feel it worked for Me! Two Weeks.
Gonna try this on the husband. Thanks fren
Have been following this Pauling regimen for ~ 1.5 years.
Take 2000mg lysine + 2000mg Vitamin C upon first rising. Wash up in the morning, empty the dishwasher, set the table. Time enough to wait a total of 1 hour for breakfast. Eat that. Eat anything up through and including lunch. Finish eating lunch ~ 1230-1PM. Eat nothing in the afternoon. Notice the ~ 3 hr clearing time this provides. Repeat the 2000mg lysine + 2000mg Vitamin C at 4-5PM. Wait 1 hour. Have dinner at 6PM - 730PM. Eat anything.
No irritation experienced on this meal/dosage plan. This routine works well with people that may have slower digestion.
Do you wait to have your coffee?
I wait the full hour for everything including my 500mL tankard of coffee.
Based on the ingredients 1 is chelation of calcium? And the other is repair?
Any recommendations on which products to buy? I always struggle with this part
Can you open the lysine çapsules and dissolve in water or applesauce. The 500mg capsules would be 4 large caps twice a day. Sometimes big caps get stuck and don't go all the way down for me. Then I have to eat something to make sure they do go down. So 4 at time would be difficult for me. Want to do this, but just wondering if anyone else has tried opening the caps first. No problem with the vit c. I only use the powder form, 1/4 teas.=1000 MG. Thank you for sharing.
I don't see why not.
So then you would be doing option #1 with the protocol i.e. taking the C & lysine separately.
In that case, applesauce with lysine should be just fine.
But mind you applesauce & vitamin C at the same time would nullify your vitamin C dose.
Thank you for your quick response.
