Our baby was born the other day and we are now home. We are all healthy and doing well.
It’s been a hell of a ride with getting laid off from my last job, deciding to leave the beer industry, deciding to go back to school and what not.
Also kinda crazy that I have known a lot of you longer than my wife and it’s been 6 years since I stumbled upon here after the 2020 election steal.
I would also like to thank the people who told me not to delete my account. I was worried about staying disciplined and being distracted but I stayed disciplined with school and finished my first quarter with a 3.7 GPA and start summer quarter on the 6th so I’ll be out again for awhile.
I also got into a good routine with school, exercise and my faith. And I wanted to add that I am not sure what cross you bare but what has helped me with sin is instead of focusing on the sin itself focus on your faith and you will sin less and be better about bad habits. I am not perfect at all but that frame work has helped me.
Landed a better job with similar pay but way better benefits. I am in food manufacturing for a large factory that does national distribution so it’s stable. I work with a ton of foreigners so that’s interesting.
But overall I am glad I am out of the beer industry for my long term health. It was hard cause it was a large part of my identity but it’s for the best and I made peace with it. The beers here and there with a favorite customer or co worker add up overtime. Been doing fasting/keto to lose that extra weight. And I have funneled that creative side of me into cooking. I still cook with beer and wine (I was a wine maker before a brewer actually) but I have stopped drinking regularly. I replaced that habit with reading my study bible cause I truly do like theology. And the few times I do as a reward or a holiday I enjoy it way more like when I picked up some German Hefeweizens for getting a 3.7 GPA.
But yeah we have the baby home now and we are chugging along with our plan. Hopefully elections get fixed cause I don’t want to leave Washington but otherwise we got Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Tennessee and the Carolinas circled.
Congratulations Fren.
Congratulations!
I recommend doing lots of things around the home in the first couple months. Your wife will experience all sorts of ups and downs, and exhaustion. She'll need copious amounts of anise-flavored teas, to sweeten her milk, and she'll need warmth and lots of rest, with baby in her arms most of the time.
Get stuck in, change nappies if necessary (some mums actually prefer doing it themselves), do dishes, clean the toilet (very important the first week or so). Hold baby while she showers.
You can wedge study in when she is asleep, like guard duty. If you have to go to work, can you get a female family member to come and help?
My mom, her mom and my aunt will be helping a ton. Between work, exercise and school I only have so much energy. And I have to be locked in with school cause after I get my certs we are leaving Seattle.
Yes, I hear you head down and arse up.
Take your time and stay calm: Enjoy this period because it is precious.
Dunno if that second suggestion is a good idea in Seattle.
Your plan is working out as intended it looks like fren! Congratulations on the happy family and healthy baby and may your blessings continue!
Oh, and happy Independence Day wknd! 🇺🇸 🐸
Yeah we are going to my parents place in Eastern Washington. I wish I could raise some hell this weekend and go ham but with a new born I have to avoid the noise and parties. Definitely gonna be more of a beer or two with a burger kinda night instead of blasting fireworks and guns.
250th anniversary baby!
No apples?
Congrats man! My daughter, son-in-law, older granddaughter (the one I asked for prayers for almost 4 years ago), and my newish 6mo granddaughter are coming here from their place halfway across Texas to celebrate the 250th. We aren't doing any fireworks either, but almost every house on my road does hours of fireworks. Some even do the big fountains and missiles in the middle of the road right outside our house. Cheap fun.
I used to blast fireworks at my Grandpas’s place in unincorporated Snohomish County in WA State. He and his friends would give us a couple hundred dollars to buy whatever and we would go HAM.
Congratulations! Said a prayer for your sweet family and His blessings over your household.
Great story, congrats!
Congratulations! It's a beautiful life!
💕
Congratulations, I am glad everyone is healthy. Great to hear your first quarter of school went so well too. I wish you all the best!
I hope you let the baby pick it's gender! JK, CONGRATULATIONS FREN!
Congratulations on your new addition to your family. God bless you all.
Congrats, more kids to the world Yepee. 🥰🙏 God bless you and your family as well.
Heeeyyyy
Great news for the two of you. Enjoy! It goes by quick
Congratulations to you and your wife and a warm welcome to your precious little daughter! Wishing you all the best of health and happiness. Praying that God watches over, protects and guides you all through this next phase of your journey. 🙏✝️
Congratulations fren, and thanks for the update.
Have a good independence day.
Congratulations to you, your baby, your wife who supports you, your job, your school, and your road to a faithful path! We as froggie frens can't be more proud! You also have some fantastic trade skills that are quite transferable, like turning milk into cheese or milkshake... basically bringing a bunch of ingredients into something edible and unique through a complex process. Not many of us can even cook, but we're trying! lol. Take care and enjoy summer school.
Yeah and once I get my waste water degree even if I don’t go the government route I could easily work at any large food or beverage company.
Congrats and welcome back, even for a brief spell! Know we are here if and when you need your frog frens.
Congratulations Fren, did you name the baby after a Pepe?
My wife is Irish heritage and I have a splash of Welsh though I am basically German and Norwegian. But we gave her a beautiful Celtic name
May the Lord keep her in His hand And never close His fist too tight.☘️💚🐸
Congratulations on your baby girl! Have a wonderful Independence Day--I know that right now you are wishing for some noise & loud celebration, but you will soon learn to appreciate rest & quiet moments as your little one grows. I am glad you are all doing well. =) Peace to you & your family.
Bigly congrats!

Congratulations and blessings to your growing family 👶 Thanks for the update.
Congratulations on your new daughter. A new baby is such a joy.
If you decide to come to settle in NC we’d love to have another Conservative family here in this swing state.
I really like North Carolina (my uncle lives in the Charlotte area). Like Washington it’s a very geographically diverse state from west to east. I really enjoyed my time visiting there.
Congratulations on the baby and the 3.7! Living in WA is hard right now. Just keep focused on what’s important. Sounds like you’re doing that. Good to see you still here.
Congratulations fren!

Sounds like you are creating a wonderful life for yourself! Wishing you the best.
Congratulations! And, please don't rush to vaccinate her. It looks like the vax have been responsible for autism and sudden infant death syndrome, among other injuries. Please be careful about it.
