The thing that strikes me most here is how quick the left is to embrace the upside down flag. Seen tons of reddit comments about it. It's a trend in their zeitgeist, like almost everything they do.
I remember having very, very serious discussions on this forum ~5 years ago about the meaning and responsibility of deciding whether or not to fly the distressed flag. We took the ramifications very seriously even though we were in the middle of being rounded up and force vaccinated.
These people pull it out like a neon thong at a pride parade.
It's a simple thing, but, to me, it speaks volumes about the philosophical differences we experience.

I have this suspicion that the recent cultural change in the acceptance of tattoos as lifestyle expression has been the product of social engineering. Once mutilating your body becomes normalized then it is not a large leap to their end goal of transhumanism. Convenient payment by RFID tattoos at your local coffee shop and retail store is an intermediate threshold we are being pushed to cross.
I have definitely told my Friends that getting tattoos is not the same as collecting art, and that they will regret them as they get older. With the exception of Navy guys and former inmates, most folks do.

If mercury can leak out of teeth fillings, can't tat ink be released by the normal action of the pores? Just asking. But it does look horrible to me on a baker, who should be all about clean white work clothes etc.
The ink tends to end up in the lymph nodes over time…is it cancer-causing? No incentive to pay for that study…
I'm more of a tattoos for thee but not for me type of guy. I'm just not into policing peoples clothing, jewelry, piercings, hair, or tattoos. I like a colorful world. But I also appreciate a clean look with whites and clear skin. I don't need everyone to look how I'd choose. I've never thought of tattoos themselves as unsanitary.

Can of worms opened. Now you got me thinking about how the sun fades all inks from our clothes! It's probably a constant storm of inks flying around in our environment. Getting into our food! Curtains in my house are faded on the sun side and I have to wonder where it all went.

The old fashioned green inks characteristic of WWII sailors suffered UV breakdown, but less so for modern inks.
I have a hard time putting myself in the mindset of someone who wants to sport a tattoo, let alone treating their body as a canvas for endless self-expression. Or as I prefer to describe it, physical graffiti. I suspect the hidden hand of social engineering has been at play.

Wouldn't it be nice if someone in Texas, say ah....Elon Musk...decided to find a couple really good MAGA bakers and backed them in putting a top notch bakery in the same town with a nice patriotic theme, so the fine citizens of the community had a real choice as to where to spend their money. To keep the competition fair, the new place would charge more for every item but for more money you'd get better ingredients, better taste, more of a selection. Then let's see how things play out over the next year or two with Ms. Embarrassed to be American.
