If you just look at the time discrepancies in any men's vs women's sports today you will see the vast differences in time between men and women in swimming and in track. The women's NCAA 50 free record was recently broken by a female swimmer in Division 1 College Swimming (the top level of College Swimming). However, there are a large number of men in Division 3 swimming (much lower caliber College Swimming) who could easily surpass her top time.
