I got one of those clear face shields that sits on eye glass frames. Tinted the inside dark and the outside mirror. Covers from forehead down to neck and I like my whole face uv protected. I consider them oversized sunglasses but they get me in n out of stores unmolested. They seem to be intimidating Cylon style, and no one's asked yet if I have a mask on underneath.
I bought a full-head Pandemic Panda mask a few months back, but it gets a little too clammy on the latex-formed inside, and the eyeholes are a little too small and misaligned for extended use.
But on the occasions when I've worn it, it's second-to-none in making a total mockery of this mask bullshit.
Like I said, I did the tinting and have even played with holographic overlays to the mirrored surface. All in an attempt to further obscure what's under the shield. Plus it looks awesome.

Check the text of the mask mandate in your state, the ones in NH and MA have pretty easy exceptions written right in them. I printed it out underlined the key exemptions “difficulties breathing” “if cannot social distance” etc for if anyone that wants to get into the weeds on it with me in public. Yours might be similar.

I'm lucky to live in FL I think because although some stores want you to wear masks, very few stores enforce it and no one can be fined here over a mask. A store can certainly choose to refuse service to someone but I can choose to refuse to spend money at that store ever again.

I found 3 restaurants that don’t care. I also found shopping late at night works great. I find the employees were glad and lowered theirs. I was also in a large chain store with a posted sign that said if you can’t wear one, due to health reasons, you’re welcome to shop there. Everywhere else, I wear a scarf that ‘falls off my face.’ Nobody says anything. I’m not doing it anymore! I was at a place with a sign saying the mask had to be two layers of cloth, one if paper. Skip! I went to two places that made everyone wait outside, screw that. I picked up take out at a place where, in order to sit down you have to get a temp check. I found other places to go.

I dont wear them. Three dif times I had someone approach me in the market to THANK me and then take off their own. probably helps that I have an awesome drive thru Mexican place less than a mile away, makes my monthly grocery pickup last a lot longer if I get takeout a couple times a week.

Those mask nazis are likely beyond saving and time shouldn't be wasted on them. We don't need to fight them or argue with them because that too is a waste of time. I've worn a mask to a doctor's appointment but I think that's different versus shopping in a store.
No one has to deal with confrontation though, just ignore these people. They will go away and find someone else to annoy. If a store wants you to wear a mask then that choice is entirely on you. I personally choose to not spend my money at any store requiring masks.
This has restricted how many places I shop at and it has been a pretty big inconvenience for me but we have to stand for something in life. We have to stick to what we believe and always remember this is still a free country. The leftists that are more extreme whack jobs should not be allowed to even phase us.

Check the text of the mask mandate in your state, the ones in NH and MA have pretty easy exceptions written right in them. I printed it out underlined the key exemptions “difficulties breathing” “if cannot social distance” etc for if anyone that wants to get into the weeds on it with me in public. Yours might be similar.
The sister of a friend lost her Costco membership bc she wore the mask below her nose (one of the stores in San Diego area). She received a letter in the mail bc they tracked her on a security camera.

I'm just different I guess. I will never bow to anyone's bullshit and if a store harasses me, I would simply not shop there anymore. There are endless thousands of stores where I live but I used to live in a small town of about 20,000 people so I know how small towns can be. Even if I lived in a small town though, I wouldn't bow to the mask nazis, I would just go elsewhere even if it meant driving out of town.

So many people are afraid of the confrontation. I have the mask off 50% of the time now - other times I worry about the confrontation (I have a little daughter who is 1 years old and I don’t want her to witness mommy beat the crap out of a mask nazi or go to jail lol)
I'm lucky to live in FL I think because although some stores want you to wear masks, very few stores enforce it and no one can be fined here over a mask. A store can certainly choose to refuse service to someone but I can choose to refuse to spend money at that store ever again.
No one ever says anything to me but if they did I would just ignore them. If someone follows a person and gets touchy or pushy physically then lay them out and in most places it's still self defense. Ignoring them I would think would work because their brains are so broken that they'll walk away.

I believe it's fucking sad and truly pathetic that government has transformed some states and cities into places that do not represent America at all. It shouldn't matter what city or state we live in, we should have the same complete freedom throughout the entire country.
I really hope this is one day fixed because it shouldn't be this way. Life for me has not changed at all over the past year but I see and hear stories of how fucked up things are for people in other states. You should be able to live every bit as free in Oregon as FL.
We must not let these people ruin our great cities and country once this mess is all sorted out. For too long, many of us settled into our lives of working, having fun, going home and not being active in how society around us was changing. They caught us sleeping so to speak for decades but we can turn that around over time.

I've used this many times and received silence, grunts, and walkaways. They get so mad when u show them how dumb they are. I'm sure they walk away trying to make sense of it tho , and that makes me smile.

I've been wearing it under my nose to grocery shop, and no one's said a thing.
I found 3 restaurants that don’t care. I also found shopping late at night works great. I find the employees were glad and lowered theirs. I was also in a large chain store with a posted sign that said if you can’t wear one, due to health reasons, you’re welcome to shop there. Everywhere else, I wear a scarf that ‘falls off my face.’ Nobody says anything. I’m not doing it anymore! I was at a place with a sign saying the mask had to be two layers of cloth, one if paper. Skip! I went to two places that made everyone wait outside, screw that. I picked up take out at a place where, in order to sit down you have to get a temp check. I found other places to go.
JIC (I did make one out of clear mesh.) I like smiling at people! I say hello whenever I make eye contact.
I dont wear them. Three dif times I had someone approach me in the market to THANK me and then take off their own. We then talked, I gave them web sites to check out, and one young store employee with brain damage was so grateful that I spent 20 min talking to him that he asked if he could hug me. Hell yes. Right there in the store with mad maskers looking on in horror.

What is the logic of the mask? Are they saying that if you have COVID you can shop and the mask will protect others from catching it? I don’t wear a mask because I’m not sick and if I get sick I’m not going shopping.
