My doc always said the most important attribute for a doctor to have (other than competency at the profession) is integrity. Not compassion, not bedside manner, not kindness. Integrity. You have to know you can 100% trust the doctor to do the right thing no matter what. Especially when external forces are pressuring you to compromise. Integrity is largely lost in the profession. Every time I see my doc he looks more weathered then the last, he’s fighting but how long can he hold out before quitting in disgust? I haven’t asked,

Doctors and nurses have lost so much of their authority to try to push anything right now since so many have chosen money over the killer protocols they are using in the hospitals.
