I just got an email from a local non-profit saying they are closed until January 15th due to staffing shortages. And, everywhere I look... same thing... "now hiring" .
Some people are home because they are quarantined, but, that many? No way.
Perhaps the workforce has shrunk because some fear working and being exposed to covid?
Or because they are making more money via unemployment?
Or because they had to quit or get the jab, and they chose to quit?
Other reasons? What is going on? The lack of employees everywhere is very concerning... it's just resulting in more division. I wish I had a solution.
Just my story/reason. Quit my job as Gen. Manager of a local business because I got so invested in Q research. Renovated and sold my home. Took all profits and I built a modest home for my wife and I on my parents land to support them through later years. Haven't taken a dime of unemployment, been living as cheaply as possible on savings. Wife was fired for refusing the vax at her healthcare job. Ive tried to go back to work, I'm not a lazy person...but something inside won't let me do it. Feels too much like surrender. Like a wild animal who got captured but managed to break free. And instead of run away, it goes right back in the cage. Almost out of savings so.... something has got to give 🤷♂️
You are a rockstar and an inspiraton. But I am also confident that you are quite the anomaly. Keep up the good work.
Thanks fren.👍
Hey... it's been a while. Wanted to check in with you. Were you able to create an independent revenue stream for you and your family?
Thanks for checking in. My brother ended up moving to the family land as well and we built him a small 2 story home (almost done). No income yet... We decided to use some of my wife's retirement account so we could continue to live and help my brother build. No concrete plans yet, and I'm getting more nervous as nothing seems to be viable yet. Time will tell, but it means a lot that you remembered my story and took the time to ask. Thank you.
I am glad your brother joined you. You and your wife are generous people, and generosity has a way of coming back to you. I wish I could actually talk with you... I am a consultant and I work a lot with small businesses, but I also help/coach people as they move through transitions. You are welcome to message me directly on this site... I'd be happy to brainstorm ideas with you. Key questions: what skills and talents (different things) and knowledge/expertise do the people on your property have? Once you list that, ask yourselves what you really love to do. There could be many things. Then you mix it all up in a brainstorming session, maybe with some beers or a bottle of wine... have fun with it... and come up with a lot of ideas for possible revenue. Then go back through the list and evaluate the feasibility of each one, considering money, resources, location, etc. After that put the ideas in groups... No, maybe, Yes. At this point, the next step is to choose and then pull the trigger. I just thought of an idea for you. Are you close enough to somewhere that you could start a food truck business? That's not that hard. Easy to research. Get creative with the truck... it doesn't have to be huge. Just a thought... anyway, keep me posted. And hang in there.
All great advice and thank you very much. Funny you should mention a food truck, I've spent my whole life in restaurant work. I tried securing a small business loan for a food truck a few years back but was turned down. Something about the bank not seeing enough value in a used food truck. Now may be a good time to revisit my old business plan. I'm confident something will coalesce soon. I will definitely reach out in the future. Until then, stay strong Anon💪👊
Thanks for the update. Go for it!
Start making shit......you have property? make shit from your own land and sell said shit.......dont know how to make shit? youtube "how to make shit to sell from my yard" I am sure you can find something. Wood slab tables........Farm veggies??? Rent a portion of land out for vendor fair venues? So much shit you can do on YOUR land brochaco
100% agree fren. I think I'm stuck in analysis paralysis. Just gotta pick something and go for it. I have building experience and a happy homeowner sawmill so I'm considering building sheds for sale. Thanks for the encouragement anon👍
Could start selling CBD and making it into edibles and topicals, at least it actually works, unlike most snake oils sold today.
When fake medicine falls, natural cures are going to be huge.
CBD is profitable but is heavily regulated, thus is a pain in the ass to deal with
You can buy CBD everywhere. It’s literally found in gas stations and car trunks now. It’s a horrible market to enter unless you can afford to buy market share.
I put 12 grams of flower in a small crock pot with a cup of MCT oil.
Bro you are the ideal. I respect you to the fullest of my ability. Godbless you.
Start a business. Mow lawns if you have to
I'm daytrading. It's actually not hard to learn. Self-control is the key.
That's a tough thing to do. Hopefully, you are investing on fundamentals, reading 10-Q and properly doing valuations. I know a lot of day traders who skip this. They make a killing one year and then lose it all the next.
Also, taxes will eat your profit unless you know how to harvest your losses.
Covid happens. Business cut workers due to the scare.
Business now working on skeleton crews, pushing their employees as far as they can bend.
Covid restrictions start to lift.
Employees demand more help because the strain is too much.
Boss Man puts up now-hiring sign to shut up the employee and promise them they will look for more people.
Employee continues to do back-breaking work loads because "Boss Man says he will get some more people, we just have to hold out a little longer!"
Boss Man continues running on skeleton crew and stringing his employees along because he can get the same output without the cost of employees.
Employee finally gets pissed and quits because he can't keep killing himself doing 3 peoples' jobs in a 12 hour shift.
Boss Man hires another poor sap to take his place, rinse and repeat.
What is this called, my friends?
Calling it a scam is putting it lightly...
It's Slavery...
There is no worker shortage. There is an honest employer shortage.
I call bullshit. I am an employer. Granted full employment for my company is only 20 to 25 employees but I have been giving away work for 2 years due to not enough help. I am surviving with 7 people right now.
I have a 90 day employment bonus which doubles your wages for those 90 days. The catch is you have to complete the 90 days to get the bonus. Ive hired at least 25 people in the last 2 years, 3 have made it the full 90 days and 2 have quit shortly after getting the bonus. Starting wage is 18.00/hr. So all you have to do to make 36 dollars an hour is make it about 4 months. There is also about 15 hours of ot a week. So add in a bunch of hours at 54/hr.
This is a people dont want to work problem. I have taken away this incentive because it failed so miserably. It cost me a few grand for 1 friggin employee.
Well if you were in Texas I'd take you up on that. I've got no problem busting ass as long as I get comped like that. Most employers expect the world for 12 dollars an hour.
What is their pay after 90 days? Still $18?
Probably. No one expects people to stay after the bonus period.
If the mandates fuck me over (im in education in a blue state and unions are pushing for MORE measures) I would gladly take you up on your offer.
I don't doubt you treat people well, but the Corporate Overlords will milk as much life out of people to make a penny as they are allowed to get away with.
Let me ask you, if you went through the experience I laid out above, would you bother giving 110% on your next job?
Our enemies have successfully demoralized people to see work as nothing more than a means by which to attain an end.
There is no pride in work anymore.
Once you trick people into forgetting what they are truly capable of, that's the first step to "breaking" them and turning them into a loyal wage slave.
But it also takes all passion out of their soul.
The reason you can't find anyone to work for you is because their respect for the sanctity of work has been mercilessly slaughtered by the 8-5 grind by methods as described above.
It's just one of many schemes, and one that's only been tenable since Covid gave them the excuse.
Same here fren.
Almost true. My father in law is that boss man and he is working crazy hours along with his crew. He argued with the heads of his company for months and finally got raises for all of his guys. Something is going on. Everywhere i look its short staffed.
I have thought this exact thing. And it is sad. Employers need to stop with the greed.
Most of us are barely making it. Theres about 5 or 6 hands in my pocket before i get to make a dime. I make less than my top employees, no bonus this year and have never taken more than any employee in the company in yearly bonus. 2 out of the last 9 years i have taken a bonus at all. I am at my breaking point. I pay unearthly amounts in taxes, put in more time than anyone at all and i am actually scared to calculate my own hourly rate. Employees are either amazing gems i would die for or more recently decent enough at the work, but entitled selfish pieces of shit that put in one good year and then want to make more than me. Theres a lot more than greed. If i were in it for the greed i would take my experience and go work for someone else for much more. My last offer was for 4 times what i make as a starting offer. If i were greedy i would close the company, cut off the 95 people that work for me and go get mine. So please, i know there are those and you see them on the news all the time but most business owners are not greedy people and 85% deserve every penny they can make. If it werent for stubborn pride in completing the goals i have, and truly genuinely committing to my employees i would be gone in an instant.
It sounds like you're one of the honest employers we're all talking about, and you're getting screwed just as bad as the employees of dishonest employers.
I don't know what the percent breakdown is of good to bad employers, but I know the bad ones are not just a few.
I am not a socialist. I agree that business owners should reap rewards. But there are some greedy pricks out there.
I wish you the best. It sounds like you have some difficult equations to balance. Good luck with your efforts.
Yea, it has been an incredibly tough couple years. I just wanted to build a company that was the one I wanted to work for coming up. And I have, uncle sam loves me, my insurance brokers and lots of vendors love me, and I constantly have to deal with new laws, new taxes, new regulations and nothing ever goes in our favor. Battling out this whole vaccine mandate garbage might be the final straw for me. I am in the NYC market and I am fighting tooth and nail to protect my employees and leave them with the choice to take it or not depending on their own decisions. Already costing me work. And your point is taken, there are totally greedy assholes out there that really do take advantage of people. I think if you look at the whole picture theres a lot more shitty employees than there are shitty owners. But I do recognize thats from my perspective and not the whole picture. In my life my bossses have been about 50/50. Most people I know I wouldnt hire in a million years. The simplest lowest hanging thing I require is honesty, and people are borderline incapable of truly being honest in my opinion. I do wish you all the best, my frustrations are not with you or anyone on here, you guys are truly amazing and I love this community. I come here for some sanity in an insane world. I wish all of you the best and I do get the frustrations of whats out there and how bad the market can be. I think for my own opinion the govt is the single worst force that destroys the labor markets and makes it so theres a much smaller slice of the pie at the end of the day to divide up amongst the employees, employer etc. We are carving up scraps while paying the better part to an entity that does little to help and a lot to burden and cripple us.
All I can say is hang in there, and, thanks for being a good role model business.
I agree with this. It's exactly what's happening at my job. Say they're hiring but no one new ever shows up. We are 70 people short, out of 110 contracted employees. But we got $15 as a Christmas bonus, so there's that.
Fuck off with your commie bullshit
It's not Communist, it's Corporatist.
Work your slaves like a mule and when they break just replace them.
That's what Amazon does.
That's what every Monopoly does.
As my friend always said, they socialize the losses and privatize the gains. I was hired at a large company, year two or three they called us into a room, cancelled our pension, retirement benefits and took away half my time off.
Seems like the only person bound to abide by contracts and promises is me and my little frens.
rent moratoriums

crime now pays and it pays BIG
people crawling into bubbles provided by the Matrix
Stealing $949 worth of stuff per day ain't a bad living.
but that only comes out to $346k per year, im better off renouncing my citizenship and crossing the border illegally for my $450k
yearly though? Or just a kick off point?
It’s $949 per “incident”, not per day. Each theft is independent and separate from the others. C’mon man!
^^^This. We just aren't hearing about it.
That's what I'm afraid of.
Lots of job openings at decent rates. A little fishy.
I figure more people have died than they are letting on.
Yea I was gonna say, death. Another one of course is they don’t want to give in to tyranny. But as businesses are figuring out, they are having to pull waaaay back on this fake administration mandates and ScIeNcE! If they wanna make it, the real workers are waiting for common sense to return.
I have noticed a pattern here. (part of my job). Since the unemployment pandemic benefits simply ended the people did not return to work. Many had "enjoyed" the year long vacation. Many of those jobs simply no longer exist. The companies have had to close up shop. These are skilled workers who are way to prideful to take these restaurant jobs. When they apply for public assistance I can see their mortgages and rent have not been paid since the unemployment ended. The fast food jobs can't pay the bills but their high paying jobs also no longer exist. Some are behind 10 months or more.
The ones who kept their jobs and worked without taking a year off with unemployment seem to be doing the best right now.
I think this was all part of the plan to bring down the USA. (world) The Pandemic. The mass unemployment. The inflation. The fake government. The nonsense vaccine. .......
It might be a good thing. We are really only working for the banksters and to keep our attention off what they are doing. Consumer society. All that changed with lockdowns..people realised true values and that they didn't need to keep buying stuff.
When all this is finished...banksters etc in jail or dead we will be able to have people in charge who truly do what people want. Jobs will be for cleaning up the planet and news inventions from suppressed patents. We don't need to work as mortgages were an illegal scam. There is no scarcity of room on the earth it expands all the time...see Clif highs videos about this and other coming free energy and devices.
I watched a video of axguy building a house with what looked like giant lego bricks made from hemp. Research hemp..natural product ..taken off market by the du ponts...cabal..one of the thirteen. Families that rule the earth or did. Watch the fall of the cabal bitchute for research on these families and how long they have been inPower
Clif helps with making sense of all this Wooness.
Another great insight. Thanks for sharing.
Ew. What about family? Church friends?
Best is hybrid.
Work fully remotely yet have an office you can drop by whenever you feel like it. Hang with colleagues when you want.
I am really glad for you. It can be scary for many to pursue this type of path, so kudos to you for making it happen for yourself.
I got fired back in sept. So did my wife. Tons of job postings but almost seems like no one is really hiring (in my field). After Christmas I’m changing careers if nothing works out.
I always lived pretty debt free and good n prepped so I really don’t owe anyone much that’s how I’m still subsisting. I probably dont need to work for a year or so before I start worrying.
Same exact situation. I got fired in September for not getting the jab. I have been living off of one income (with my boyfriend). The only debt is the mortgage, but we spent within our means of one income so we are good. It's tight, money wise, be we are so much happier. It feels good to have time to do what makes me happy and more time to volunteer/serve others. I honestly feel blessed being in this situation. I'm getting much needed rest.
Best bet is to apply to a business competitor. I used to work in the air freight industry and those companies loved poaching employees from their competition.
I’ve been asking the same questions. How are people paying their bills—or are they?
A little blame can go to the boomers.
im in the position of looking for a building to buy and setup my business in, and i am coming to the harsh reality of "holy shit buildings are fucking expensive"
all i can think is how has anyone ever afforded buying buildings in my position. Ive got decent credit but still get denied for mortgages left and right, which further begs the question, how the hell are people getting mortgages on homes when I cant seem to make any headway whatsoever. i was trying to move to florida for the better part of 8 months, but kept even getting denied for leases because my credit history isnt long enough. so im stuck in Bama
Fuck the Banks, this system is so difficult to get into when starting out with nothing. I make good money, 71k/yr, and I cant do shit with it! I've gone so far as showing a homeowner my bank account after they denied me for not long enough credit history and they still didnt care, wouldnt rent to me...
I think you are looking at a multi faceted issue here. true many are self quarantined, some have been eliminated through the vax mandates, some are sucking the system on un employment, other reasons..think about this..i do not know how old you are but you know of the huge population bubble (baby boomers). this is the giant bell curve of the population. this whole economy was built to accommodate this amount of people. houses built, cars and everything else manufactured or imported.Today we are over the top of that curve and heading down the other side. As of now by the numbers approximately 11,500 people are retiring per day. that is 24/7 365. Where is everything headed as the curve flattens in the next 10 or so years. many of the earlier folks are dying off. all of these people had jobs. They are not the system suckers we have today.then you have the fight for 15 folks lol...with technology today companies are using this to replace many of these unskilled folks. i can make machinery create aircraft parts, do you not think i could not program a robot to make a big mac lol. not even an issue and tolerances are nowhere near as stringent lol. how many restaurants now have kiosks to take orders or pay your check? you have many that do not want to work now, thinks the gov owes them. you have the covidiots that are afraid to leave their house. many do not get into the trades that built the economy ie plumbers, electricians, machinists, auto mechanics and so on because they would rather sit behind a computer with their little suit and tie and make more to start than the trades would offer as an apprentice. Many industries are being destroyed by their schooling blowing sunshine up their ass until they find out, "wow this isnt working like they said it would". as an example in the beauty salon industry these girls pay their tuition, that is not cheap, to have their instructors tell them how much they will make. Can they do this ? absolutely but not without the hard work and perseverance to get there. so they loose interest and quit because its not fast enough. so to your post you see how there are many factors all contributing to all this...it will get worse trust me.........
Excellent summary. It's not one thing... it's many.
Where we put on this earth to work? I don't think so. Aliens .. annanuki altered our DNA and made us slaves to worship them Jehovah etc it's in the Bible.
The annanuki are very long lived and can live thousands of years...can't reincarnate though...perhaps they are still here..our time lines..our history has been altered...lies told to fit a narrative man hasn t been on earth very long. Historians archeologist s etc cannot speak about...like doctors knowing vaxxed are killing people.but risk being murdered or losing their living if they speak out.
All this system is being brought down and then people can find work they would like for as long as they want to work.
Exactly. Not to mention the mudflood and tartaria... the previous civilization reset
Who is doing the mud floods? It's all over the earth. Are aliens using frequencies. Or weather weapons more powerful than we know of..making instant ice and deserts?
Imho the millenial reign of christ already happened and armageddon already happened too, all the good christians got taken up and we are the descendents of the leftovers. That explains the state of the world today. We cal it a midflood but really it was the rapture
Another theory I heard is that the rapture is not the taking up of the good people, but of the bad ones.
I can see that.
You get pumped full of graphene and they blow you up remotely.
Now were talking! Beam me up mr scott!
Rapture totally false...if you believe people can be taken up out of the atmosphere and survive you are not dealing with a full deck. We are a thousand years out from the timeline according to latest knowledge. Popes and caesers adding on hundreds of years. Bible also messed with to suit Constantine new religion christia ity like the old one with new names...
Maybe so maybe not. What seems clear to me is that our civilization has fallen so far from where it was that we may as well be a completely different people. Corrupt satanists run everything. Where are the good christians who built this place? They are all gone now. Look up tartaria and the mudflood
This is such bullshit, lol
I don't know where all the workers went, but I did read that due to the shortages, long-haired, freaky people may now apply. 🤣
Sign, sign, everywhere a sign.
Shit. Us long hair freaky people can get two, or three jobs, if we want.
It works like this in MI. Prove you are actively seeking employment by going on job interviews. Get the job, dont show up. Bennies extended. Thats the story we hear from our suppliers.
This is exactly what is happening in Michigan. Spouse sees it every day in our industry. Neighbors brag about it, too.
Its a bummer. The moral hazard created here is just beyond what most can imagine.
Much love to a fellow of the mitten. Godbless.
It is very hard to find and keep good staff right now. If someone doesn't want to work a certain day they pull the Covid card or just job abandon. I have never had such a hard time hiring and keeping staff. It is the lower paying part time jobs that are hardest to fill. I have been promoting and giving raises to my good staff to keep them and they deserve it. It's still not enough to keep up with inflation but many of them have received $3 an hour bump in the last 2 months.
End unemployment benefits! EVERYONE is hiring. DEFUND UNEMPLOYMENT!
As a business major, I asked the same question months ago. Seriously, where the hell did everyone go? Something is not right … it’s too big of a coincidence for all of America to have staffing shortages. Many unemployment benefits have expired and the incentive to stay home has subsided. Have we lost so many people to sickness and vas’s? It’s kinda scary
There are probably quite a few lying dead in their homes.
Dead due to jabs
Some (just some though) didn’t think they could already retire, but is willing to try with the new management class.
I’d be curious to see how engineers deal with hyperbolic virtue signalling overlords, attending religiously to form rather than substance
There’s a high turnover in factory/warehouse type jobs. Temps from staffing services make up a large percentage of the workforce. People come to work a few days a week and it’s tolerated. When they eventually stop showing up, the temp service sends them to a new place. Fridays and weekend work are scarcely attended. Friday is payday flu day. Monday you get a skeleton crew as well. The other days, they barely do a half days work in a whole day. In the meantime, as others have said, they expect more work from the seasoned or hard working employees. Vacation and time off is limited. They’re tired and looking for a new job. Go up to my first sentence and substitute every other industry out there.
Bottom line, as long as it’s working, it will continue to happen. Everyone here should be working on getting out of debt. It’s the only thing that gives flexibility and resilience and the ability to opt out of the bullshit.
I also would like to add i don't know anyone on unemployment this late in the game.
The opposite. They already accomplished the Great Reset; the American work week is 50, 60 hours on the clock now.
Many went to gig economy. Some just left. Many of these now hiring get applications every day but don’t ever interview anyone or hire.
Discussion Post - What is your opinion of the US labor market status?
https://greatawakening.win/p/140cbVkMZ0/discussion-post---what-is-your-o/c/
a lot of people got used to stimulus checks and the extra unemployment they got for the past year -- they were making more money doing nothing than actually working. Now a lot of this workforce which is "unskilled labor" is demanding the same level of wages they got from the stim/unemployment. One of the executives at my company was basically telling employees who were making $12-13/hr what to do and file last year so they could get like basically 15-16 plus an hour from the benefits etc.
Now that all those have dried up people have gotten more demanding and lazy - as if they are entitled to $20/hr for doing something that a year ago would have cost me $12/hr.
I've done a lot of interviewing for a position I have open - I am willing to pay $15/hr for someone that doesnt have any relevant experience but at least has the right attitude etc...but the ones I've interviewed were like I expect at least $18 for my starting pay and I am like you're 3 years removed from graduating high school and have had one job at Taco Cabana....Pass
basically so many people have a sense of entitlement now that wasnt necessarily there before because they got "free money"
fuck socialism
Thanks for the post. I am right there with ya'. It's almost worse than the pandemic itself... like the PTB knew that the psychological disruption would catch on and not be able to be corrected. Now we have an entitlement attitude on steroids, it is here to stay, and the disruption it is causing is gaining momentum.
I think there are a number of things at play (I read all the comments as of my writing), most of my thoughts align with what the consensus is here. However, I will put in my own $0.02 to include repeating themes.
Gen Z has stepped up and are filling the customer service jobs. But they are mostly high schoolers and college students so their availability is limited. What they are reporting is that customers are either super nice or total assholes - there is nothing in between. The assholes scream, curse, and try to assault the kids because they are upset about shortages and/or reduced hours. Apparently the police are aware of this and will randomly drop into stores and ask the kids if everything is Ok (I imagine some of them have kids who are working retail) The super nice people thank the kids for showing up and trying to do their best in a bad situation.
I was unaware of this. Great insight. And, I have made it a point to try to tip handsomely when I am out. I want to reward work ethic.
i love tipping well. tipped my pizza guy 35% last night ($10 tip) and he fucking lit up. made my night making his night
What's great is that most of the kids lean conservative so when one of the customers starts raging about shortages, some of the kids will quietly say "Welcome to communism lite!"
Welfare and unemployment benefits no longer require you to be actively looking forward work, so people aren’t.
Companies wanna complain about staffing situations but offer wages that were bad in 2017
I hope it's because more people are better at scamming and thieving. 2008 when they threw a taarp over the whole economy i was like ruined. Fresh outta college newly married. I stole all my routine supplies. Whole large coffee filled w just milk for like a dollar at a gas station Toilet paper in the backpack from their bathrooms. Etc
ever drink powered milk?
I dont know what that means so no?
lol, powdered* milk is a thing. you just add it to water and you end up with milk
Is it cheap or something?
I guess so, I've never used it either though
We did when I was little b/c we were poor and yes it’s very cheap. It’s also very disgusting and me and my siblings hated it. We thought we were rich when we finally started having 2 percent milk to drink. 😂
Same in Australia ... can't get workers across all workplaces! We struggle to find people with ours .. with the enforced vax mandates in Victoria, which covers nearly every single workplace, I believe there are way more people refusing the jab than they are letting on so their only option is welfare and they have stopped looking for work!
Boomers are 30 percent of adult population. They retired early. They were supposed to retire over the next decade. Now mandates pushed more out.
That's where I'm heading early next year. Then I'll be looking for a part-time job, instead of working full-time for the next 5 years.
There's a huge movement of people that are refusing to return to low-income jobs because the pandemic made them realize that they were being exploited by their employers. This is why workers have been asking for better pay and why unionization efforts have been so strong this year.
I dont know why you're getting downvoted for this, I was about to say the same thing! Covid lockdowns ended a lot of jobs (partially by design thanks to great reset), but one of the positives is that people realized they could get by with less, instead of the lies of our toxic work culture which needs people to work 24-7 for low wages, and consume media and products endlessly on their hours off. Less product/media consumption = less money needed. People have been fed up for a while, with increasing prices, and stagnant wages, people expect more (rightfully so). Values have changed, and it's not all a bad thing.
Very interesting insight.
Also, unemployment benefits ended in September. So it's definitely workers choosing not to return to low-paying jobs.
Read some of the stories on r/antiwork.
Try to go in with an open eye and not assume everyone in the forum is a communist. Their community reminds me a hell of a lot of the early days of r/wallstreet bets. I think this is a White Hat instigated uprising of the workforce to further stress the Cabal economy.
Went to a restaurant last night, 40min wait for food and the place only had maybe 4 tables seated out of 20
I think a lot of illegals went back to Mexico and south for covid break since everything was closed and they couldn’t work, maybe they don’t want to come back, maybe the wall advanced more than they thought it would and they aren’t coming back.
Just my theory.
Hadn't considered this. Good theory.
All of the above. Plus alot of "sudden deaths" to add to list
Here in California my town runs on tourism. those jobs pay minimum wage or close to. They get more money from gov. Handouts than working full time. No incentive to go back to work. None. we’ve been short staffed at our hotel for a year. They apply and interview then ghost us. To show the unemployment office they are looking for work to keep getting that gov. Check.
Also I know many many guys that went into day trading crypto and retired after a year. In there 20s. They made stacks of cash and don’t work. Some never went to college and “retired” after high school. If I know dozens. There must be thousands like this.
People are dead or sick? Or just terrified by the propaganda. But yeah, it's everywhere.
