The about face seems to be related to the "defund the banks" movement in Canada.

Yes. If he invoked the E.A., the citizens will start stripping their money from the banks, as they no longer trust them with their hard earned money that the Govt can confiscate from their accounts the instant they support the Truckers with it

He could bring it back in at any point so this isn't over.

He has shown himself to be completely incompetent and unfit to hold office.

He must resign and an investigation into him must be held in order to bring back some semblance of respectability and trust to the Canadian government.

But we currently live in clown world so I don't hold much hope.

This was fairly pathetic.....

.

"Let's take everyone one in Canada, preferably business owners upset with the vaccine mandates, who statistically have larger deposit account balances......

and tell them we're going to seize all of their accounts because they donated $50 to the Truckers."

What could possibly go wrong there? Because having seen the writing on the wall, everyone will wait for the Casto bitch to seize their accounts, rather than empty them.

There's a line where stupid should have a prescribed remedy.

And THAT crazy fucker shouldn't be walking free.

Senate was not on board. Trudeau is doing damage control, ending it before a clear public rebuke by the senate which would be worse for him politically than it already is. Also, Senate has access to and reviews classified information as part of its deliberation and decision making. Anyone's guess as to what info damaging to Turdeau could be there. Had the senate pulled the plug, there would be widespread questioning of senators regarding reasons for their decision. 100% Turdeau is afraid of that being public.

Canada just happened to roll out their digital ID this week after he froze people’s bank accounts. Trudeau gave everyone who is against digital ID all the ammo they will ever need to fight it. Instead of simply freezing their accounts, their entire identity would be frozen. The Cabal are not happy with him.

Don't post much, you guys figure so much out I have nothing really to add, but in this case I have a boots on the ground report from an RBC in BC Canada.

Went in last week to pull my money, got half, they seemed nervous, it was strange. Decision had to go to like 3 managers. Finally gave me about half of what's in my account and said they have to "order" more money. Fast forward to today, went in to pick up my "order" of the other half, a woman was complaining LOUDLY to a teller( that's weird by itself considering I'm in a small town) about only being able to get 5000 when she wanted 17. Teller saying "I'm so sorry, there's been a bunch of people wanting cash". Then I got to the window, told them I was here to pick up my money and they asked if I was Chris? I'm not Chris.

Could be something to this bank run stuff, I'm sure they'd never tell anyone though.

Absolutely has to do with the bank run. I've heard that they tend to only keep about 2% of people's cash on hand, so now they're panicking.

▲ 2 ▼
– FuckNewsom 2 points 4 years ago +2 / -0

I'm not even near Canada, I'm in California, and I went to withdraw a large amount of cash and the teller said he wasn't sure if they had enough cash on hand, because for some reason everyone is withdrawing money this week.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– AncientSly 1 point 4 years ago +1 / -0

I can confirm that physical branches rarely hold too much cash. If there's a certain threshold hit per day, some has to be "sent" back to cash ops. Mainly to mitigate risk and to minimize hold up situations. I would say most small town branches never have much more than 200k on hand (excluding ATMs).

I mean it's not a good look is it. One day - it's so "Reeeee" terrifying that we have to pretend civilisation is falling so the people of Canada can be protected from bouncy castles. Nek minnit "Naaah, it's alright" emergency powers are gone. But I also heard that somehow it got turned into a confidence vote - which I guess would mean that Castreau would've had to have gone to the polls again. The important thing though is the optics - forever Castreau is painted as an insane dictator who will do anything to retain power

The vote was on Monday and JT's side won.

Apparently some of the senators still have a functioning conscience and were asking for proof of the emergency. JT's choice was between trying to pretend actual evidence existed or trying to pretend that the emergency suddenly ended less than 48 hours after arguing and voting for the necessity of emergency powers.

If I'm discussing an MP, I'll use the term "MP" .

If I'm discussing a senator, I'll use the term "senator".

So in your Candian system your two houses are called House of Commons and Senate? Not the House of Lords? I guess I didn't realize Canada had "Senators" in their Parliament.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– Forthelead 3 points 4 years ago +3 / -0

Yes.

The House passes legislation, and then the senate, the house of sober second thought, reviews the legislation. The senate has the option to accept, amend, or reject the legislation. They are usually seen as a rubber stamp for whatever is passed in the Commons.

It’s Scared.

Turdeau spent all of his ammunition on this battle with the truckers.

He has NO ammunition for the upcoming battle... truckers throughout Canada parking their rigs and refusing to work.

When enough truckers join in, the country will come to a complete standstill within 3-5 days.

Battle Won. War Won. Game. Set. Match.

Oh yeah, try sending in U.N. troops for reinforcements and see what happens to them hosers on Canadian soil. 🇨🇦🩸🇨🇦

Good point. He can do it any time he needs some more funds.

I honestly think there was a massive panic by the Banksters and they whipped him and Freeland into shape real fast. Freeland looked like a convulsing crack addict behind Trudeau on stage. She was nervous as hell about something.

My thoughts...

  1. The run on the banks worked. Some had to shut down for a few hours. The entire economy was at stake. This has already resulted in Canada's global credit rating to plummet.
  2. It looked like the Senate was starting to turn against Trudeau, because he refused to reveal "secret reasons" why they should support it.

This is a colossal fail on his part. He tried to save face at the last minute, but the devastation to his political bankroll has been massive.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– FatReggie 2 points 4 years ago +2 / -0

Yes, that is how it works. However, there are three major parties in the Federal government: Liberals, Conservatives and NDP.

Trudeau has a minor government, but the NDP have been voting with him throughout this whole term. If they continue to do so (why would they stop?), then Trudeau will never get voted out. Unless it's the will of the globalists.

My question is whether the declaration of the Act is still subject to the mandatory inquiry if the emergency is declared over before the 30-day expiry of the Act.

Good question.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– Forthelead 3 points 4 years ago +3 / -0

And the answer, given by JT himself in the press conference, is that the inquiry will take place within 60 days but the scope would be broadened to go beyond examining just the government's actions and would now also include the genesis of the occupation (actually, protest), the influence of foreign funding, and the use of social media.

It's probably a combination of if the senate voted against it then Trudeau could risk a no confidence vote. Also his masters probably did not like any panic within the banking systems.

▲ 6 ▼
– Eph612 6 points 4 years ago +6 / -0

According to what my husband tells me, had he allowed the Senate to vote on it they could’ve taken down the government with a no confidence vote. People didn’t end anything - he did it purely to save his power grab. I read there has to be a review of the justifications, etc., anytime this Act is invoked (this was the first time) but they have 360 days to file a report, so it will be inconsequential.

This isn't backpedaling. This is part of the game plan, flawlessly executed. Canadians now know for certain that Trudeau and his minions can invoke the EMP as quickly they revoke it. The message is clear: "Canadians, don't ever try this protest nonsense again. You know what the consequences will be. And you know we're serious."

This has nothing to with banks. It's a strongarm tactic that keeps the sheep docile.

I hope these folks push their crypto to a private wallet. Exchanges fall under Fintrac so any tokens kept there are fair game (although it's a bad idea even in "normal" times). Was just talking tonight about snapping up silver and gold. Still have to get the physical bars though - any mutual fund is still dependent on an electronic banking system that can be turned off like a spigot

Ok, if he wants to declare himself dictator for 72 hours, removed anyone who threatens his power and then before the senate actually says "no" removed the power, then what is even the point of senate approval.

The house is already burnt down. Now he is removing his declared power to burn it down just to avoid anyone asking questions about why he burned it down or whether he had the authority to burn it down.
