Ditch the bag and start making it in a pan on the stove the real way. Burner heat to max, add olive oil, add organic kernels, tip the pan this way and that until they all pop, pour into bowl, melt butter into still hot pan, pour butter and add salt.
Skip the olive oil, and use the grease from the bacon you just cooked! Then, as it goes into the bowl, sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
No need for butter.
Oh gawd is it good!
Will try it ! Sounds Presidential : )
2 SCOOPS!!
Agreed. Shouldn’t cook with olive oil. All about the tallow and bacon grease.
Im looking for a good tallow. But i have none locally. And refuse to buy on amazon for food produces
My Husband's Granddaddy used bacon grease popped it in a skillet with peanuts.
add garlic salt or garlic powder and it's even better!
Oh yeeeah
I would do it. Bacon grease FTW and cheesy popcorn is so good too.
This is the way. It tastes sooo good, and is much better than that fake chemical-laden microwave stuff.
And olive oil and butter have healthy fats - pour on the real butter!
Same, but I used seasoned salt. Has some garlic and onion powder, few herbs, nom nom nom
That's how we made it growing up I put it in a pasta pot, covered the bottom with kernels, added the oil and was so fun to make and just hearing that sizzle brings back memories. In a small pot on another burner I would melt the butter to pour over it! YUM!!!!
This is what I do, but with coconut oil and a homemade seasoning salt. Organic kernels, sometimes from the Amish.
I hate popcorn. I guess I will remove myself from the entire Great Awakening movement before I am tarred and feathered. It's been a ride frens.
Maybe we'll use popcorn instead of feathers just to mess with you......
While I like popcorn, I refrain from eating it. We can have a popcorn haters anonymous Q meeting down the hall. kek
See ya there!
You can still hang around if you like beer.
Bigly!
Beer + popcorn = Dinner of Champions.
I'll consider popping open an antique bottle of tequila if the news is good enough.
True. Beer counts.
Sounds great to me! Maybe replace the blunt with a shot of something good though. Although (thinking emoji here).... kek!
😂🤣😂 That made me laugh out loud!
caramel corn
10 cups popped popcorn, about 1/2 cup unpopped
3/4 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
Put the popcorn in a large bowl and preheat the oven to 250.
In a large saucepan, melt the butter and mix in the sugar, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
Increase heat to medium-high and boil the mixture for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly. It will change from grainy to smooth and then will begin to thicken.
Note: Don't leave the stove while the caramel is boiling. It takes about .05 seconds for the mixture to overcook and turn brown instead of caramel-colored.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the vanilla, salt, and baking soda. The caramel will foam up when you add the baking soda, which is why you want to use a big saucepan.
Carefully pour the hot caramel over the popcorn (grab a fren to help) and stir gently to combine. You could add some peanuts at this point and make Cracker Jack.
Pour the caramel corn onto two cookie sheets lined with parchment paper or Silpat. Bake at 250 for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
This! I was thinking of making caramel corn as well. My aunt has her own recipe that also uses a dash of cream of tartar, but the rest of this looks the same!
Why do you put 1/2 cup UNpopped? Just curious. Thanks!
that's just saying that 1/2 cup unpopped yields about 10 cups once it is popped
Thank you!!
Just saved this to try. Sounds yummy!
May I be the first to say, "SWEET!"
Popcorn, butter, salt, pepper, liberal tears, more salt. All the salt.
I’ve cut back on liberal tears due to the spike proteins.
1 bag of Popcorn
1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch Italian Dressing
Take buttered popcorn, and place it in a bag (A Large serving of popcorn) add packet of Italian Dressing and shake vigorously.
Enjoy!
Salt, pepper, butter, Cayenne and Parmesan.
Caramel and peanut butter M&Ms in second place.
Hit it with that Cayenne, thats money dude lol
Grab a bag of the real shit from the grocery store.
Dab some oil (I use vegetable, but sunflower is the tits too) in the bottom of a large pot.
Drop a few kernels in.
Set heat to medium high.
Let a few of them lil bitches start to pop.
Remove from heat.
Add the rest of the popcorn.
Return to heat.
Listen for the pops to slow down.
Remove from heat.
Add heaps of the salt we've been mining all these years and shake that shit up.
Enjoy.
This is almost exactly how we do ours here.
I use corn grown in the back yard. Instead of vegetable oil, I use coconut oil for the flavor. Plenty of butter and salt.
This is the absolute best recipe… I’ll add: I use 3 Tablespoons of olive oil 3 quart pot 1/3 cup popcorn kernels Do as above, don’t forget to remove from heat for 30 seconds after the first kernels pop During popping, lift the lid slightly (away from you) a few times to let the steam escape After popping, pour the popcorn into a huge bowl, add a bit of salt Put 1 Tablespoon of butter in the hot popping pot, it will melt , then dribble it over the popcorn, salt a bit more, stir. This makes enough for two big servings or 4 small servings.
Enjoy,
Cheesy Popcorn (A more well balanced meal of popcorn!)

If you like cheddar cheese (I use Tillamock extra sharp) and popcorn, you will love this recipe.
Yum
nothing like the old school tin foil pans of jiffy pop! love watching that little flexible tin foil dome swell up with delicous popcorn!
I can't believe I am reading this post!! I have caramel corn in the oven RIGHT NOW!!
My parrots LOVE popcorn... but always un-buttered and unsalted.

Good collection, thank you!
M&M Minis.
You're welcome.
Ditto! Also full size... and peanut... or a fav here is Imperial red hots. They get a bit soft. Yum!
Sometimes I hippie dust mine. I put brewers yeast on it. It’s really good!
Double-take... You what, now? yeast??
It’s an acquired health food store hippie thing that’s actually good for you kek
Going to look this up for the sheer crazy of it, thx
Recipe 👉 Extra butter popcorn and nuke until popping is a couple seconds apart. Will need toothbrush , dental floss , and toothpick afterwards. 😜
Definitely not the Walmart brand (great value) my wife bought 😒
Oh no. Hope it was a small size!
Protect yourself, mail order some good stuff quick (before the diesel runs out) and guarantee yourself a proper supply for Christmas!
Popped in a heavy pot w/ salt and pepper and a little butter-perfection!
You guys are great with your popcorn recipes. You make me chuckle.
Adding more snacks to the list:
Recommend spicy chili mango slices
And bacon-wrapped dates, full of cream-cheese, oven roasted.
Bacon wrapped dates are so good! Also do mini sweet pepper poppers.
Coconut oil > olive or any other seed oil Plus coconut has high smoke temp
This
Have some jiffy pop in the cabinet, otherwise, I really like Fishers. Popcorn from Ocean City, Md. , which can be ordered on line!
Amish Caramel Corn. Easy to make and melts in your mouth. Watch out because the stuffs addictive
I use a whirly-pop
One third cup of original Orville Redenbacher's, One heaping tablespoon of Coconut oil, medium heat. Start with a few kernels until the oil warms up enough to pop and then add the rest. Makes a nice bowlful. This was a Catherine Limbaugh recipe I heard on a broadcast years ago. I am seriously addicted to it.
We have been going with coconut oil in a stovetop stirring popper for years now, then sprayed with butter flavored oil and tossed with popcorn salt. Can't find Wabash Valley popcorn salt anywhere anymore though. It was the finest grain...
I made a big pot of green chili (makes the best wet burritos) and slow cooked london broil in a crock pot with salsa verde then shredded it for street tacos. Brought some food to friends, fed the family and now waiting to hear our President Trump.
I may choke on it due to excitement!
Scotch. After three or four glasses I don't care what I eat, especially popcorn. Now, Nacho Cheese Doritos, on the other hand...
Best popcorn…try it before you judge and you will see why. Sprinkle powdered chicken bullion on top and shake.
Like mine salty. Salty as fuck.
If it’s microwave popcorn, Orville Redenbacher’s Tender White is the BEST. Never buy any other kind. Otherwise, for a special night I make it on the stove, coconut oil and then butter and salt. Try not to eat corn anymore at all, but sometimes, you gotta live a little!
I love popcorn, but backed off for dental reasons. Then 2 diverticulitis flare ups. So no more popcorn for me. That said - any good non-GMO white popcorn, with oil and real butter and kosher salt is the ONLY way to go.
Drizzled with candied maple syrup, melted dark chocolate, salt.
Coat the bottom and sides of a small, cold pan with butter or ghee, pour in your maple syrup, boil to 302-304°F, no stirring..
I like some buttered popcorn. I do like caramel popcorn also or maybe some white cheddar. But plain buttered popcorn is usually my go-to. May have to try some of y'all's recipes.
Popcorn... Shrimp!
Orvilles, Olive oil on the stove high heat, melted butter, bit of brown sugar, bit of cinnamon, little bit cayenne!
